Best Body: Pretty, Miserable, Perfectness

Rate this book
Beautifully detailed, Best Body is the first book of its genre to both intimately depict the experience of an eating disorder and expertly analyze its causes.

Written when Jordan Lee Knape when she was 23, Best Body: Pretty, Miserable, Perfectness is a memoir filled with the things they do and don’t tell you in the hospital, the things that speak to how so many get here, what can be done — and what recovering from an eating disorder looks like.

One of the most honest, enlightening, and raw accounts of this deadly illness. As someone who has battled eating disorders for over 45 years, I have been in Ms. Knape’s shoes, and found myself nodding and reflecting on my past. I especially appreciate her thoughts on recovery; it is personal and different for every individual.

Best eating disorder memoir I have read

Other than Wasted, this is the finest ED memoir written to date. It is insightful, and beautifully worded-a true gem.
