One simple wish can change everything…
Harley Simpson has one wish—to find Prince Charming and settle down. She has a dream job and wonderful friends, but something is missing. With her thirtieth birthday looming, Harley is sure being with her hot, smooth-talking boss Ethan Prince would make her life complete. Having just landed a major client and learning she’ll be working even more closely with Ethan, Harley sets out to celebrate with her friends.
On her way to the bar, Harley chats with a mysterious cab driver. When the woman asks what she would wish for, Harley answers honestly—she wants Ethan. But during her night out, she meets a handsome, blue-eyed part-time bartender and full-time teacher named Matt Garner. No, he’s not a CEO, but he’s the sweetest guy Harley’s ever met.

A wish gone bad…

Harley awakens the next morning in a strange house with Ethan—and their two young daughters. The wish she’d confided to the freaky fairy godmother has actually come true. As she tries to figure out what this means and if it’s really what she wanted after all, Harley discovers Matt is also part of this bizarre world…He’s her daughters’ teacher.

Harley suspects fate has gone completely haywire. Will she be able to find a way out of this suburban nightmare? Or is she destined to stay and live the life she thought she wanted in this messed up fairytale…

Cute story about love

A very quick short story which I enjoyed and was very light-hearted and fun too.
Harley a young woman has a few drinks too many one night and wakes up in a different life the next day wondering what is going on. It turns out she made a wish to be married to Ethan the man she fancies. To find out if her new life is what she really wants you need to read the story

This book contained a quite unusual and original story I enjoyed immensely reading about!

BlogYouTubeInstagramFacebookTwitter

Harley has just landed some new clients for the firm she works for, being now one step closer to a promotion! On the way to the bar where they will enjoy their celebratory drinks, she and her best friend Olivia, she hops on a cab, where she confides to the female driver, who proved to be her Fairy Godmother, that she would very much want to get married and have kids with her boss Ethan Prince!

When she arrives at the bar, while having promised to herself that she will not have more than one drink, she eventually gets drunk and a little flirty with Matt, the bartender. On her way home, she falls asleep while still on the cab... and wakes up somewhere else entirely!!

How is Harley going to handle the sudden realization that her wish has been fulfilled and she is now Mrs. Prince and has two beautiful daughters Cassie and Leila?

While at first shocked and terribly confused by everything happening, she soon starts to enjoy her new life!
Until the moment Donna, her Godmother reveals that this is not the life she was supposed to lead and it was all a mistake! The only way for her to make things the way they are supposed to be is to realize what was meant to happen differently, and with those realizations the correct changes will be made!

A very sweet read that also passed a beautiful message, emphasizing the fact that wishes cannot be granted exactly the way we make them, because that way they might turn out badly. Instead, even if we think all of our wishes have been granted, we still need to check if some things could get better, and mostly in relation to the person one has married and the life they lead together! Especially, if only one person has changed their life around and adjusted to the marriage, contradicting their own personality.

This is exactly what happened to our heroine! Harley was an independent woman focused on her job and being perfectly happy about it! Waking up a few years later, she realizes that she has become a stay-at-home mom, who has completely changed her habits, her clothing style and generally her life, in order to make her husband happy!

But, is she happy?

All in all, 4,5 stars for a read that passed a beautiful and powerful message!

*This was an ARC provided to me for free in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and comments are my own.*

Careful What You Wish For is a sweet story about Harley Simpson, a woman who has been career driven and has little to show when it comes to relationships. She's had a crush on her boss Ethan since she laid eyes on him and has been secretly pining for him. She becomes a fumbling mess when he's around and can't help, but daydream of him and their happily ever after. One day after landing a project at work she heads to a bar for a girls night out. On her way out to catch a cab she has run in with Ethan and is left a bit out of sorts. The cabbie seems interested in her life and what she wants. After a brief talk she admits some of her desires especially about her boss. The cabbie wishes her well and she spends a night out with the girls. After one too many drinks, Harley heads home, but when she awakens the next morning she's not exactly in Kansas anymore.

She has somehow stepped into a new life with Ethan as her husband and two daughters she doesn't remember having. Terrified and confused, Harley wants nothing more than her old life back, but is it that simple now that she's got everything she's ever wanted? And is everything she ever wanted truly the best thing for her? Careful What You Wish For, Harley, you just might get it...

To be honest I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I had never read any of the authors earlier works so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it is a quick and enjoyable read that you will likely finish in one setting. I actually emailed the author to tell her I put my life on hold to finish the book because I got so into it. It's also a very funny read. I think most people still enjoy the magic of fairy tales so this, to me, is a charming adult read with a magical twist. It makes you think about all the things you've ever desired and how right they may have seemed in your mind until you actually get them. It's kind of like the adage, "the grass is greener on the other side"...or is it really? Harley's biggest obstacle will be realizing if this reality meant for her or one better left unexplored. The ending is perfect. I'd definitely recommend this book to romance readers. This is also a great beach read. Check it out and let me know your thoughts!

*I bought this book on my own*
Holy crap! I don’t know about you all but I, for one, secretly enjoy movies like “A Cinderella Story” and “13 Going On 30”. Movies like that are something I tend to watch when my husband isn’t home so he doesn’t catch me. Those movies bring out the ‘feel good’ in you.

This book combines that but it is for adults. It takes you on a ride and makes you believe in love again, or fall in love again (explained further down in the review).

I’m not lying when I say this is the best book I have read in a LONG time!

In the first paragraph I was instantly hooked. Harley is an extremely believable character and I was connected with her immediately. Her personality is one that everyone could be friends with. Naturally, she is drawn to the hunky guy in her office but when she wakes up as his wife and mother of his kids…she realizes he ain’t all he’s cracked up to be.

And he is severely lacking in the bed *that poor woman*

Her Fairy Godmother (which some of us would swear she had to be ours) screwed up when giving Harley a wish that she didn’t actually wish for.

Harley tries to find a way to make her life the way it’s supposed to be and along the way, she discovers herself…finds who she is supposed to be.

Now…my poor husband…

As I read this book, I literally felt everything Harley did as she was going through shit. There were times where I found myself being very…crabby to my husband. That poor man suffered throughout the day as my emotions were changed by this book.

Not only were there times when I was crabby but there were times when I felt like I had fallen in love with him all over again. I started a tickle fight and giggled like a teenager *Curse you Michelle!*

It is an emotional roller coaster, but in a good way!! Harley reminded me a lot of me from the way she acted to the things she said…even in her new found roll of parenting.

Careful what you Wish For, by Michelle Escamilla, definitely has a crazy story line that makes you rethink saying "I Wish." Harley was a determined woman who was going to make sure she made her career in Marketing. As her birthday came around she couldn't help but realize she was still working on her career, single, and had no kids. But she thought maybe she could find her happily ever after with her crush from work, Ethan Prince. He was a big flirt, and when she landed a big gig for the firm he asked her to dinner. So all happy, she went out with her friends to celebrate where she met a cute bartender named, Matt, who helped her get a little drunk. That was when she went home in a cab and met a woman who turned out to be her fairy godmother. Only she ended up giving Harley the wrong fairytale. Harley awoke with a whole new life with Ethan Prince, and she had two young girls. Only her life wasn't what she had dreamed. It was a complete mess, and she soon found out she lost herself through the years with Ethan. So many relationships destroyed and a career left behind. Her fairy godmother, Donna, told Harley the only way to get her life back was to find out who her real Prince Charming was. Harley had no idea what to think. This is the life she wished for only it didn't bring her true happiness. But through it all Harley was able to decide what she truly wanted in life, which in turn brought her to her real Prince Charming.

I adored the book and the characters involved! What if you had one wish, what would you do? Sometimes your wishes are granted by accident. Harley is the sort of girl that you can't help but love, who has a crush on her boss. During the story, you see her maybe dream get played and then see her become a loving, truthful and joyful woman. Matt is the guy who people never want to date because he's not rich enough. But Ethan is the man everyone wants, but has a good poker face.
The plot was amusing, just a very sudden jump from one life to another without any inclination of to what had happened. But throughout the book, you start to see the cracks in wanting someone you worked for and then finding that one person who wants you no matter what.

A must read story about wishes, fairy tales and reality, with hot men involved!

This was a quick, light read. I did think that Harley's character seemed completely different once she woke up in her future and she seemed to be drinking a lot of alcohol! It's a far fetched story but it can be overlooked as it's obvious this is a 'fairytale'. The story was a bit rushed and the characters needed fleshing out more. As a mother, I felt a bit sad that her children in the future were not incorporated into the epilogue seeing as all the other characters were.

This was a good book. Mostly. It was a good plot with interesting characters.

Things for which I've knocked this score down.

Ending sentences with prepositions.
Not doing the research.

The grammar issue needs no explanation.

Harley is described as being a personal assistant and then an executive assistant. That is a high end clerical position. Women wanting to become advertising executives are going to try to avoid getting into the clerical department. They will more than likely not be seen as viable candidates anymore for the advertising department. Exeutive Assistants may be expected to help prepare research and reports but are not likely to be pitching their own ad campaigns to new potential clients.

Matt is a teacher who is working nights, weeknights, at a bar. This would not happen. Teaching is not an eight hour a day job that ends when you leave the building. Afterwards there are hours of lesson planning and grading papers and then you have to get up early for pre-class prepwork and you may have to be a hall monitor before or after school or watching the lunch room on the breakfast shift if your school has breakfast. Now elementary teachers may not have to spend so much time grading papers after school. But if you are a parent do you want to go to the bar and find your first grader's teacher working at the bar? There will be complaints.

Move to the end of the book when they get together. He is an assistant teacher. People who graduate with a teaching degree look for teaching positions. TA's are not degree positions. They are usually, but not always, parents who want a job working the same hours as their kids' school hours. Most often, a teacher who doesn't get a teaching job ends up subbing until they can get one. Unless, like me, you are on your own and need full time work and not knowing if you are going to work any given day is not an option. He only plans to work at the bar until he pays off his loans and then he wants to do his graduate work so he can become a head teacher. School prefer teachers to start with a bachelors. They don't have to pay them as much. But the epilogue is only one year later and he is being offered a Principal position. Even a TA with a teaching degree would not be able to go from TA to Principal in one year.

Everything surrounding the characters jobs is completely unrealistic.

A very easy predictable chicklit that Karen would absolutely hate.

I selected this as the category for my name being in the title or author’s name.

Typical storyline - is this a dream or real life, try and find your prince and happily ever after with a bit of Disney reference to it as well - my perfect read 😂🤣😂

Anyway, I enjoyed it so that’s the main thing.

THIS BOOK COMPLETES MY 80 BOOK CHALLENGE FOR THIS YEAR AND WE STILL HAVE 3 MONTHS TO GO. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Unusual

Gave this three stars as found it a little difficult to get into at the start, also found it a little confusing right the way through, obviously Harley's life with Ethan and the children were in her imagination?, or maybe I didn't get the story at all, anyway not an unenjoyable read but not really for me

FEEL GOOD READ 4 STARS

No Spoiler Review <3

This is a first for me by this author, I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for scanning my Kindle library, something light hearted and easy, Careful What You Wished For turned out to be the perfect mix. It's been on my Kindle awhile, and to be honest I had no clue what it was about, I originally settled on it just for the cover (I'm easily pleased). So I snugged down in my bed and let the fairytale begin. Every girls dream is to meet Prince Charming, and Harley Simpson did just that, her boss Ethan Prince, he was everything Harley wanted in her Prince Charming, she envisioned life in the future, marriage and kids, then she woke up... Careful What You Wish For had a touch of 2 of my favourite childhood movies Big and Scrooged, Harley was an entertaining character, she was fun, lively and passionate, but further into the story she added to those qualities with compassion and maturity, and it was a very enjoyable read that I finished in one sitting.

Perfect Life, Maybe Or Maybe Not? . . .

Based on the old saying of being careful of what you wish for, this romance is a simple read that is both funny and enlightening. The main character finds out what her life could be and does so in a slightly humorous way. In the end readers understand wishing for a fairytale life doesn't always your idea of a perfect life.

Working in marketing firm and progressing up the promotion latter, Harley Simpson, finds herself set with everything except that elusive prince. The man she can't help feeling adolescent around is none other than her boss Ethan Prince, who is too good to be true, if only he'd notice her. After a night out with her girlfriends, Harley awakens to find herself a stay home mom to not one but two girls and is married to . . Ethan! Harley wants to thrilled but can't help but freak at her wish coming true without any ideas how. That is until her fairy godmother comes in and lays it all out for her. Turns out the world Harley is in is all wrong and it's up to Harley to figure out what is right and what isn't including who her prince really is? Oh and if Harley can't understand her true desires she may be stuck in this new reality for good.

Overall, nice quick entertaining read but wished for more depth in a few areas. Harley is quickly introduced and then thrown into her new world, which she lives in for 90% of the story. I never connected to Ethan at all making it easy to not feel anything towards him, which included hate. Though the same could be said about any of the other side characters, flushing them out could have helped bring more out Harley's character too. I mean most of the time Harley substituted emotions for wine, so there were quite a few hangovers as you can imagine. So if you are looking for a cute contemporary dream to reality "romance" where the girl comes to the conclusion your true dream may be different than your fairytale, than this book would be good to read.

This is a fantasy romance with a touch of magic. This can be read as a stand alone, but there is a follow up book called Wishful Thinking. I recommend this for young adults. Harley is hilarious even when she is not trying. She made me laugh especially when she was dealing with her new life and kids. Her friendship is awesome, the topics of their conversations is so funny. And her mother, omg, I simply love her sass. Donna the fairy godmother, cough, was also very adorable. This is a feel good read that kept me laughing. You most definitely have to read this yourself.

Harley Simpson wants more out of her life, honestly who doesn't. But who has access to a fairy godmother...well Harley does. She has eyes for a Ethan Prince, he makes her heart go pitter patter. But is he everything she ever wished for? Ok maybe not truly wished for but wanted just as bad. Ok godmother your mistake. Harley struggles through her new life and realizes her prince charming is anything but. Will she ever make it out of this wish in one piece.

favorite passages:
"The Knit-Whit Twins, as I referred to them, were friends of Olivia and truly the most fake people I'd ever met."
"Her boobs screamed,'Look at me, I cost five thousand dollars!'"
"I couldn't help but look her up and down, as she was wearing some black pleather leggings, leopard heels and a bright red shirt that was tied in the front."
"I'm sure they are like crack addicts by now, trying to find their next fix."
"They both ran inside and the smell of pizza from six days ago with a hint of old plastic toys and children s feet smacked me in the face."
"Throughout dinner, my mom continued to make smarta** comments toward Ethan and my dad about his jokes."<3
"If this was a fairytale, its definitely not ending with a happily ever after."
"I do, but honey, just 'cause this 'prince' was actually only a frog."

Be Careful what you wish for… Harley Simpson wants what every little girl dreams of, marry prince charming, and live happily ever after. She still hasn’t found her prince charming, so she makes herself a workaholic.

Imagine yourself on cash cab, but instead of playing for money, someone asking you what are your hopes and desires. So her wish is granted… She awakes the next morning, married with 2 kids. Her husband is the hot boss that she fantasized about. Will having all your dreams come true be what she truly desires? Or will it be a recipe for disaster? Again, be careful what you wish for… Will being with the one that she dreams about be who she desires? Or will someone else become more prevalent?

I gave this story 4 stars. It was a sweet clean romance. I think about the things I wished for when I was younger. I’m probably a lot better off without them. I fell in love with a certain character from the start. I want to keep this spoiler free, but when you think he disappears, he is right where you want him to be. Obviously this is not something realistic, but if you could get a taste of what you think you want, I think it would make people appreciate what they currently have even more. I used to daydream about certain things, but I wouldn’t trade what I have for anything. I have a song that also reminds me of this book. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

This story is just darling! I finished it in one sitting and was amazed at how different it was. I like to compare it to a modern day Cinderella meets Freaky Friday story with much humor thrown in.

Harley dreams of dating and marrying her boss—I mean why not? He has it all. He’s a CEO, has wonderful looks, is charming, and people love him.

On her birthday night, with her girlfriend, Harley gets drunk and her friend hails a cab for her. Unbeknown to Harley is the fact that this cab driver has something unique about her. The next morning Harley’s world is completely different— like six years in the future different.

This story is perfect for wanting a change of reading scenery and storyline in the contemporary romance category. This is chick literature at it’s fullest and I loved it!

Sure there were some aspects that I had to giggle at because I just could not accept some of it, but it’s a light story and meant to be humorous so I rolled with it. I am so glad that I did. I loved the two little characters and the growth that Harley had to endure before she found her full potential.

Michelle did a wonderful job of showing Harley’s caring and compassionate side. I felt bad for Harley though because the author kept putting the her in worse and worse situations, but at the same time those situations were funny.

If you have been searching for a fun read that is sexy and has smoke and mirrors love scenes, then check it out.

The author let me read this book early.
I enjoyed it. It's a read it in one day kind of book.
In this story, Harley has a huge crush on her boss. While in a cab one night, she starts talking to the cab driver and mentions that she dreams of a life married to her boss.
She goes out for drinks that night with her friend and when she wakes up the next morning she is married to her boss. They're married and they have two little girls and Harley has no memory of any of it.
When she sees the cab driver again, she realizes that the "cab driver" was actually granting a wish for Harley because her birthday was the next day.
But she realizes that Harley didn't exactly say "I wish" and she may have fallen into a life she wasn't supposed to have.
When Harley starts realizing that she doesn't really know the man she's married to, she has to decide whether this is the life she really wants. If she doesn't want this life, she has to figure out what she's really supposed to have in her life in order to get things back to the way they should be.

I really enjoyed it. I appreciate the author sharing it with me. I'd definitely recommend picking it up. It's a good, happy read and the title is very appropriate.

Care What You Wish For is not your typical fairytale. Harley is working hard to establish herself in her marketing career. She has caught the eye of one of her bosses, Ethan Prince. Ethan seems like the perfect guy; he's hardworking, rich, and sexy. Harley has a strange conversation with a cab driver on her way to a night out with her friends; what happens next is very much like an Alice in Wonderland experience. Will Harley be able to figure things out and return to her old life or will she get stuck in this alternate version of her life?

This was a great short read. I loved the plot of this story, it was a love story with a unique take on a fairytale. The characters were well written and made me feel what they were feeling. I loved Harley, Olivia and Matt. In the beginning I felt like Ethan was perfect for Harley but was he really her Prince Charming? This book made me think about things I've wished for in the past and wondered if they could have turned our differently...like they say "be careful what you wish for". If you like a love story with a sprinkling of fairytale elements you'll enjoy this book. I look forward to reading more from this author.

"Harley, you have grown an attachment to all this. The girls. That shopping spree. You even landed the guy that you wanted. You need to realize that everything here may not be meant for you."

Have you ever wished upon a star?
Made a wish on your birthday?
Wondered what it would be like to have your own personal fairy godmother?

Well Harley got that...and then some!!

I adored this book!! It was a breath of fresh air! Harley, like so many of us, wished for the perfect job, perfect kids, and a life with her dream guy. But when her wishes become reality, was it all worth it?

Along the way, Harley finds herself not so sure about her realtionship with her dream man, Ethan Prince. She falls head over heels for her own daughters. And she also starts believing that maybe a yummy, blue-eyed teacher is who she really should be with. Such a great story!!!

Each and every character was great. My favorite would have to be Donna. She may not be the best fairy godmother, but she is very entertaining! I kinda want her for myself;)

Like I said, I adored this book! It was fairy tale magic at its best!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Michelle Escamilla has out done herself on this book. This book had me hooked from the beginning and I couldn't put it down and finished it in one day.

It is about a girl, Harley who falls in love with her boss and would like to know what it would be like to be with him or even married. She gets into a cab and meets a fairy godmother who gives her the life she thought she wanted. She wakes up married to her boss Ethan and finds out she has 2 kids with him. She doesn't know what to do and thinks she is going crazy. As she was taking her kids to school, she meets her daughters teacher and instantly has a connection with him.

If you want to know what happens to Harley, you really need to read this. Will she stay with her man of her dreams and raise her family or will she find out this is not the life she was supposed to have.

You will NOT be disappointed when reading this book. If you are a mother, you will laugh and relate to Harley and her new life. This is a book you should not miss out on!

This book started off with Harley day dreaming about her boss Ethan. Then one night she meets Matt at the bar where she is with her friends. He gives her his number and helps her in cab. The next thing that happens she wakes up to her boss and 2 children calling her mommy. Her life now is not what she expected. But its amazing how drawn she is to the kids. And realizes she wants kids.
She realize Ethan isn't what she expected either. There is zero chemistry between them. and she thinks he is up to no good. This book offers tons of laughs, even some steamy scenes it made me laugh more then anything I loved Harley's best friend. And Even Matt. The end was a perfect way to leave you with hoping for the best. Does she stay in this life she wakes up in. Or does she go back to the way things were before. You must read it :)

I was so flattered when the author, Michelle Escamilla, came to me and asked if I would like to read her new book!! CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR: NOT YOUR AVERAGE FAIRYTALE was terrific!! This great story just knew that romance readers LOVE their fairytales! What Michelle did with my personal favorite, Cinderella, had me guessing and wanting more the whole time! Harley thought she wanted one thing and one person, but was unexpectedly thrown into a situation that had her questioning her own beliefs about what she wanted out of life! At times I wanted to shake her for being so clueless! The men in this book were both jerky and dreamy! The situations, humorous, romantic and angst filled. I liked reading about different scenarios and meeting all sort of fabulous characters. Careful What you wish for is a great read, especially for those eternally looking for our happily ever afters!!

This book answer the age old 'what if' question. The Main Character Harley has a major crush on her boss, and thinks things are finally falling into place when he asks her out on a date. However, in route to go have drinks with her girl friends, Harely confesses to her cab driver that she could see a future with him. We wakes up the next day to find herself living the life she only meant to dream about, she has to figure out if this is what she really wants, or if it was only ever meant to just be a dream.

An excellent read! I read it in one sitting–because once I started I couldn't put it down– and I was very impressed with the over all writing and details. I loved Harley's character. I haven always been a fan of magical realism and this books definitely delivers. If you're looking for a cozy read this fall to go along with your pumpkin latte then this one is for you.

This isnt my usual type book, but as Michelle is a fabulous writer i had to have this one too, and i am so glad i did. I loved this one, to have a chance to live a life you think you want and have the chance to return to your old life if it doesnt live upto your expectations, yes please, i'd go for that. The book is quirky full of trips and surprises, loved the characters, the storyline was a classic based on a fairy tale but set in a modern world. Michelle has written a lovely story of finding true love whilst trying not to fall flat on your face. If you havent read this one, or any other of her books, then i recommend you do, you will not be disappointed. I look forward to similar stories from Michelle in future. Highly recommended A*************************************

Giving it a second try now that I have a copy that isn't filled with typos! Woo hoo!!!

So, I stayed up until 3a.m finishing this book. It was a cute story. Some things I liked and some I didn't. The Prince was really a jerk, more often true in real life too. The best friend is truly the best. Reading this I picked up on some different nuances from some romantic comedies, kind of disappointed in that aspect. If you like cutsie happily ever after stories this is perfect for you. I prefer a little more grit and grime in my stories. So, overall this is a cute book. If that's your thing it will be great. I would love to read Olivia and Kens story because Olivia seems like she could be a handful, including lots of grit and grime with a heart of gold.

I received a copy of this book from the author.

Harley is 30 and searching for her Prince Charming. She thinks it may be her boss Ethan. After she lands a marketing pitch her and her best friend go out for drinks and the cab driver asks her about her life. Harley says she wondered what it would be like to be married to Ethan. That night she falls asleep and in the morning she wakes up married and with children.

Here fairy godmother informs her there's been a mistake and she has to work out the right path for her life.

This book was such a great read. It shows you that sometimes what and who you think you want and need in your life isn't actually what/who you need. If only we could all get an insight into how our story is supposed to go.

This book was a very quick read for me. It was quicker than I normally like but once I got into the story it was pretty good. Harley goes out on a date with her girlfriends only to wake up in a wish gone wrong.

The story kind of unfolded fast for my liking but the author did a pretty good job of meshing everything together to make it worth reading. I would have liked the story to have played out a little more. There was potential to expand on many areas of the story. I'd definitely recommend this to someone who wanted a quick, happily ever after. It definitely makes you think "Is that the life you really want?"

I have no words for the way this book gobbled me up and spit me out. I have read a lot of books, in a lot of genres, most I’ve liked and few I’ve LOVED. This is one of them. It never ceases to amaze me when an author can captivate me in a way that makes me finish the book in one sitting, this one did just that. Harley is a completely loveable relatable character.
I’ve mentioned in previous reviews that I am generally not a contemporary fan (which makes me a much harsher critic) so when I find authors who write in the genre that can do what Ms. Escamilla did with Careful What You Wish For, it is exceptionally exciting!

Harley thought Ethan Prince was her prince. He was gorgeous, and seemed to be the perfect man. Somehow, her wish for her prince came true, and she woke up married to Ethan with 2 daughters, Cassie and Leila. Then, once she saw Ethan for who he really was, she knew he wasn't her prince. Too bad she was attached to her daughters. She has to realize who her real Prince Charming really is, to get her life back. The only downside would be not seeing her daughters again. Someday Harley hoped to have daughters just like Cassie and Leila, with her own prince, who was right under her nose the whole time.
