Dave Logan, the owner of Deep Six Security, is stunned when Dallas FBI head, Susan Whitmore, darkens his doorstep accusing him of being the cause of her losing her job, and demanding he hire her. Even as his brain says no way, the Barracuda is a woman nobody can work with, his white-knight complex forces him to offer her a job as his very overqualified temporary secretary.
A wealthy couple who ordered a designer baby which wasn’t delivered contacts Dave for help. To get answers for them, Dave has to get inside an overly-fortified fertility clinic going undercover with Susan as his temporary wife. The situation inside is worse than they imagined, and soon their pretend ‘til death do us part’ could become very real unless the two alpha personalities learn to work together to stay alive.
Till Death is the first book in a brand new erotic romantic suspense series, Deep Six Security, by New York Times, USA Today and Amazon Bestselling Author Becky McGraw.

She knows just enough to make her dangerous, and her humor-laced contemporary western cowboy, and military, police procedural romantic suspense novels varied and interesting. Becky resides in Florida with her husband of thirty-three years and her dog Abby. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America Published Authors Network.
The first book I read in this series was actually book number seven, so I was glad to have a chance to read an advance copy of this book. These books certainly don’t need to be read in order to enjoy them, and this one blew me away! I was sucked in immediately, and it was all I could do to hold on for this adrenaline-fueled ride. Till Death is a phenomenal read! Intrigue, action packed, suspenseful, steamy, snarky, funny, and even a little sweet.
Dave Logan and Susan Whitmore couldn’t be more mismatched. Good thing they’re only pretending to be a couple for a mission. When Susan “Barracuda" Whitmore tells her boss at the FBI to do the anatomically impossible and quits her job, her only choice for the job she needs to pay her sister's college tuition is with Deep Six Security. But the ornery, rigid, apparently sexist Dave Logan knows what a pain the Barracuda is to deal with so the only job he'll offer her is the secretarial position he desperately needs to fill. When a new job requires a couple to go under cover at a fertility clinic, it falls to Logan and Susan to complete the mission.
This author does an amazing job of creating a world and bring it to life in 3D, high def. The settings, descriptions and characters are so vivid it felt like I was right in the middle of the story. I loved these two main characters, but all of the guys of Deep Six are larger than life and equally loveable. And Susan and Logan together? They're like oil, water, dynamite and fire all mixed together. Two ridiculously strong willed, stubborn leaders, yet somehow Ms. McGraw worked her magic and got them together. I truly wondered if it was possible, but the great fun of watching their journey to forever was the icing on the cake of this spectacular reading adventure. Not to mention, she's forever colored the way I view popsicles and Blow Pops. If you haven’t read this author, your really missing out, and this book is a great place to start. If you’re already familiar with her, you’ll love Till Death and devour it like I did.

Till Death, the first book in a new series by Becky McGraw, held me captive from the very first page, and I never doubted that it would. I love Becky's other series, Texas Trouble and The Cowboy Way, love those cowboys and now I cannot get enough of Dave Logan of Deep Six Security and the new series Logan's Lonestar Heroes. Dave Logan is an arrogant, sexy, grumpy, alpha male, who is head of Deep Six Security. He and his team seem to work together well, until Dave's soft heart (which tends to get him in trouble a lot) forces him to hire Susan Whitmore, former FBI Head. Besides the fact that Susan will be the first female on their team, she is also a very smart, brazen, talented lady who is used to being in control, her nickname is The Barracuda. Something just told me from the beginning that the chemistry between these two would be off the charts, and it was. I really don't want to give away any details of this book, I just want to say that if you love a romance with suspense, mystery, hot sex scenes, and some laughter thrown in, then I highly recommend this book. If you haven't read anything by Becky McGraw, this would be a great time to start, she is one of those authors that I one-click. And to Becky, I would like to say what a great start to a new series this book is. I cannot wait for more of Logan's Lonestar Heroes!!
While I didn't love the cover, I definitely enjoyed the start of this series. The characters on the Deep Six team were interesting and pulled me into the story. Dave and Susan were both as tough as nails and not about to compromise. They found themselves needing each other's help but struggling to work together. The team, on the other hand, had no problem working with Susan or getting friendly with her. The chemistry between Dave and Susan was sparking all over the place while the mission heated up around them and revealed connections to Susan's family. In the end, the only way to accomplish their goals was to find a way to work together, but that might have been the hardest challenge of all.
I feel sure I will be checking out future books in this series.
Dave is the boss at Deep Six he took a case about a baby ring .. Susan Was FBI agent until she got into a fight with her boss.. She went to Dave for a job ... Dave hired her but they clashed big time plus Susan got along with his whole team which bugged him to no end .. Dave decided he need Susan to help with a case he was working on . But after the case he was so going to fire her .. This book has action , mystery and sex ... Gotta love it .. I really don't want to get spoilers you really need to read this book it is excellent .. Plus I really enjoyed the whole team of men working at Deep Six
Alpha Men, action, guns, orange popsicles , cherry blow pops and five inch heels. WTF do all these things have in common? Becky McGraw's Dave Logan and Susan Whitmore. WOW, love this duo. Dave Logan - what can you say? Well, Grumpy! Sexy! Hot! Workaholic! Alpha! (My new BBF! That man is panty melting hot)! Susan? Well she's Hardcore! Sexy! Protective, Beautiful and OMG is she Impatient!! Put them together and you get Explosive Reading!
This is my first Becky McGraw book, but it certainly won't be my last. This book had be riveted from start to finish. I can't wait to see what she has in store for the rest of the Deep Six Team. It's going to be a great journey!!!
This is my review for the Audible version ...and this was only the 2nd book I have every "listen" to . And Matt was a great voice for the Dave and Susan. I would love to have had a woman do Susan voice but Matt made it work. It was a great book and I really enjoyed Dave and Susan and there talking crap between each other and loving getting on each other's nerves. Great book and can't wait to purchase the other's in the series in Audible.

TILL DEATH is the first book I’ve read from Becky McGraw and I quite enjoyed it. This is a new series, but I did wonder if the characters have appeared in one of her previous series. Just the way some of the characters and events were talked about, it sounded like it had happened before and the author was just giving a quick recap into how everyone came to be where they were.
I’m not sure how old David is, but Susan is 36 years old. She’s super smart (that’s my technical term) and unfortunately for her, has no real social skills. I liked Susan’s character from beginning to end. She starts out quite abrasive, and that’s the opinion everyone has of her, but as the book goes on you see she has her reasons for being that way. A woman has to act tough to make it in a man’s world, yet men can’t stand it when a woman acts like a man, all tough and arrogant. When a man does it, he’s just getting the job done. But when a women does it, she’s a total bitch and everyone hates her. By the end of the book, you see that she’s just another woman who’s been hurt by a man and left broken hearted, but determined to move on.
David is a typical man’s man. While he respects that a woman can do just as good a job as a man, he refuses to hire them in his security firm, believing they’ll distract his rough and tough men from their assignments. Hiring Susan temporarily while he tries to find her another job, it turns out that the biggest distraction she causes is to him. I liked David and he’s definitely an alpha male, both with women and the men that work for him. Like Susan, he’s rude, arrogant and demanding, and you realise that he also doesn’t have very good social skills, so they’re kind of made for each other. His business is his baby, and any spare time and cash is used to keep the business afloat and his men employed.
There were a few things that felt unfinished in this book. Susan hinted at a possible conspiracy regarding the death of her parents, her father in particular, due to a case he was close to closing at the time of his death. I thought perhaps this would be an underlying story arc in the series, but after she thinks it once, it’s never brought up again. If it won’t be used in future stories, I don’t see the point in mentioning it at all. In regards to the surrogacy case, we find out what possibly happened to the mother and baby, but there was no closure for the couple that lost it.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It held my attention and I didn’t want to put it down. I flattened my iPad battery and went straight to my iPhone to continue reading. The members of David’s team were funny, diverse and interesting, and I’d love to learn more about them if they get their own books.

Oh Boy!! Such depth of character and strength - Who is running Deep Six?
Becky McGraw starts the journey of Deep Six Securities with the owner - Dave Logan in Till Death. They have work… probably more work than can be handled. Dave, the workaholic owner denies and ignores. Some days, I’m sure Dave Logan was wondering that too after reluctantly hiring recently “out of work” Susan “Barracuda” Whitmore. WOW!! does that name fit most days...
She is intelligence personified, will step on toes to catch the bad guys. Buried under her tough as nails exterior is her hidden vulnerability from being hurt too many times to count. She cares and cares deeply, especially when it comes to family. Soon that will be exposed to Dave. Two characters who are so both so strong and wilful, that they want to kill each other at times, and seem so wrong together - it will be their hidden vulnerabilities exposed to each other, that will show both where attraction and love could lead if they give is a go.
A beautifully written story, jam packed with adventure, adrenaline, and two volatile cases (one personal, one on the books) that will eventually collide and test Dave and Susan in more ways than they can imagine.
You will become invested in their lives from. A page-turner from the very first word to the last word. Get caught up in the drama that can be love. It’s dramatic, it’s flammable suspense. It’s TILL DEATH. Undercover and exposed, read what it takes to bring two beautiful, highly intelligent, determined, stubborn and oh so courageous souls together. This is Dave and Susan’s journey. What a truly remarkable and well written story - well done Becky McGraw!
When you have wonderful characters you want more to their story, and this story delivers the more… even when you wanted to shake them both so bad! As a new series begins, you see some characters inside that will pique your attention - oh yeah!!! you’ll be wanting more stories to read. A definite recommend to continue this series. I look forward to reading more from the Deep Six family.
As the first book in a new series by Becky McGraw, Till Death is an action-packed thrill ride full of suspense, angst, fun banter and plenty of laughs to keep you entertained and the chemistry between Dave and Susan is off the charts. The characters are well-rounded and engaging and the storyline is intriguing and holds an air of urgency and danger. It is easy to get pulled into their mission and vesting in the team, rooting for them all to succeed and come out unscathed. Dave Logan is the head of Deep Six Securities and has formed a pretty amazing team of men with personalities that balance each other and a bond of brotherhood that runs deep. However he is an arrogant, overbearing alpha male who meets his match with his new addition to his team. Susan Whitmore lost her job at the FBI and blames Logan so she seeks him out, saying he owes her, and demands a job. She is extremely intelligent but brash and domineering and used to being in control; her nickname at the agency was Barracuda, after all. An alpha in her own right, she and Logan butt heads from the beginning and sparks fly. Neither wanting to relinquish control of a situation and always having to be right, he knows it is a mistake to hire her but something under her tough exterior calls to him on a baser level. With a high-stakes mission underway they find themselves needing each other but struggling to work together. If they cannot come to a mutual understanding it could end up costing them their lives and the lives of his team as well as the innocents they are meant to save. This is definitely a book that will keep you reading from beginning to end. *I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Dave Logan is a serious alpha male with a bucket load of attitude, zero people skills and an overprotective nature that leaves a Neanderthal man for dead. Yep, on the surface, Dave’s inability to display any warm and fuzzies has his men declaring they're all going to quit and he’ll never find a woman to love.
Susan Whitmore didn’t get the name Barracuda for nothing; she earned it! Not one to beat around the bush or worry about political correctness, Susan has ruffled one too many feathers and found herself booted from her dream job with the FBI. But she’s not about to lay down and cry; no, Susan is about to make the man responsible pay in blood, or at the very least with a paycheck……Look out Logan, she’s after your hide!
As much as Dave resents her ultimatum, he can’t deny he needs Susan for a sensitive mission and as pretty spectacular arm candy too. With an equal amount of arrogance, defiance and take-no-prisoners in their personas, Dave and Susan are more likely to kill each other than end up in bed. But their chemistry is so combustible, it’s not really that surprising that they sizzle and burn when passion ignites.
I was first introduced to Becky McGraw and her easy ebb and flow writing style in the Cowboy Way series; so it’s no surprise that the same capacity to draw a reader in and hold their attention throughout an entire story has flowed on to the Deep Six Security novels. Intense, action-packed and never lacking angst and danger, Till Death is definitely the perfect story to whet a reader’s appetite for something exciting and new. I’m hooked, and can’t wait for what comes next!
Whether you are new to Ms McGraw’s stories , or a long times reader, this first book in the Deep Six Security series, is one that you will enjoy. Deep Six Security is comprised of former military and alphabet agencies members. Their leader, Dave Logan, is a true alpha male and at times a badass boss. But the rest of the guys are loyal to him and have learned to steer clear of his way when necessary. Susan Whitmore, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI office in Dallas, is the female carbon copy of Logan. Just as outspoken , smart ass-really, and pain in the rear. She is referred to as the Barracuda, which says it all. In a snit, she quits the FBI and suddenly realizes she needs a job to continue paying her sister’s college tuition. She goes to Dave for a job and gets it. It was interesting to watch these two alpha characters interact. The plot centers around the request of a new client who paid a clinic for a “designer baby” that never was delivered. The surrogate has disappeared., The plot thickens when Susan sister gets herself in a clinical study to help with her college tuition. And let’s not forget the love-hate relationship between Dave and Susan. Never a dull moment. Another engaging story by this author, filled with complex characters. A good start for this series.
I really enjoyed this book. I basically read it in one sitting. Dave Logan is the owner of Deep Six Security. His employees are a tight brotherhood of men that are former military. Susan Whitmore is the former FBI SAC for the Dallas field office. She resigned from the Bureau and blames Logan for contributing to why she had to leave. Susan is very bright and abrasive. But, she gets the job done. She asks Logan for a job while she looks for something else. She needs a job to pay for her sister's college tuition. Logan hires her as a secretary. All the guys really like her but she frustrates Logan. Deep Six needs to hire more operatives. The brotherhood is starting to have morale problems. Susan is good at helping Logan with those. Logan asks Susan to work with him on a case because he needs a female to act as his wife to try to figure out what is going on at a surrogacy center. They go undercover and are able to help one woman escape. There is an added complication that Susan's sister is involved in a experiment at her college that is linked to the case. They are able to successfully solve the case and Logan and Susan get their happily ever after which comes after some very difficult times.
This is book 1 in the Deep Six Security series. It's about the owner Dave Logan and the former head of the Dallas FBI office Susan Whitmore. Susan lost her job after helping Deep Six so she shows up there demanding he give her a job so that she can keep her sister in school. Dave doesn't think anyone can work with the woman that is nicknamed the Barricuda and wants her no where near his office or in his life. But because he feels bad for her, he makes her a secretary instead of a field agent like she is qualified for.
This book was a great read and a great start to the series! Susan is definitely mouthy and take charge. To the point that she can get herself into trouble without truly having a means to get herself out of it. Dave tends to be gruff and can be mean, to the point that his team is ready to bail on him because they feel like he doesn't trust anything they do. Throw them together and then you have explosions! There were so many parts that made me laugh. The side characters are awesome and once Susan and Dave learned to actually work together, they were great! Definitely well worth the read!
This book was released in 2014 and I believe getting a re release now. I read it the first time around, really enjoyed it, and it totally started me on a Becky McGraw tour of her books. I read every one of her series now, and love them. This book starts the Deep Security Six series of a group of people who work as a bodyguard, or undercover, or whatever needs doing to protect the client. David Logan has started the company, and is who this first book centers around. Susan Whitmore, has worked for the FBI has quit and needs a job. She has terrible people skills, was called a Baracuda behind her back, but she manages to get a temporary job with Dave Logan and the team. She and David really clash and yet to solve a kidnapping case, have to pose as a married couple. I loved the dialogue that sparked between those two. There was so much chemistry with this couple. The plot revolves around surrogate babies and selling those babies. Very enjoyable read and a great start to this series.
Dave is the head of Deep Six Security who underneath his abrasive personality lies a caring person who is willing to help others. He has no interest in a relationship and he wants nothing to upset the balance of the team he has created, so the last thing he needs is Susan turning everything upside down.
Susan is the ex-FBI head who left her job and she blames Dave for the situation that she finds herself in. She needs income so when he offers her the job of Office Manager she accepts even though she is insulted.
When they are hired to investigate a fertility clinic and a missing baby they need to go undercover and pose as a couple so that they can get inside the clinic. Although they had indirectly worked together in the past the fireworks explode when these two strong personalities both want to control the direction their investigation is going.
The banter between them was humorous, the chemistry intense and the storyline is full of suspense and twists. I also enjoyed the rest of the team and I look forward to their stories as well.
Susan Whitmore's first priority is making sure her sister is taken care of, and that includes her college tuition. It's probably not the best time for her to stand up for herself and quit the FBI, but that's how she finds herself at the office of Deep Six Security, and demanding that the owner give her a job. Dave Logan is overworked and understaffed, but the last thing he wants to do is offer the Barracuda a position on his team. Left with no choice, he offers her a secretarial position while he finds other employment for her. Forced to take her on a mission, they're thrown into a web of deceipt and lies bigger than anyone could've imagined. I enjoyed the dynamics of the characters in this story and the twists in the plot definitely keep you guessing. Filled with plenty of laughter, action and romance, this was a great introduction to the Deep Six Security series. I'll definitely be diving into the rest of the books asap!
Honestly, I'm not sure why I let this book sit on my TBR for so long. I've read other books in the Deep Six Security Series yet I kept putting Till Death to the bottom of the pile. THAT was a mistake.
I would classify this as a romantic suspense with humor thrown in (not a rom/com suspense). Susan is a hard as nails - take no prisoners - woman. Dave Logan (he's referred to as both throughout the story and it took me a few paragraphs to realize he is the same guy) is a man who is surrounded by his "brothers" in the business he created. He has a gruff attitude, lives for the job and doesn't apologize for who he is.
I really enjoyed the banter between Susan and Dave. The respect they ultimately have for each other, the sex, the interaction - everything just works. The story line is a little bit obvious but it didn’t take away the enjoyment level for me.
Overall this was an interesting plot, though I was hoping for more from the characters in the last half of the last chapter. It was a change from many other post-military group series books I've read in that Dave Logan is not a wonderful leader. The team isn't all perfectly happy. His team is very loyal, but he doesn't treat them well and Susan calls him on it right away. I would like to read more of the series to see if the slightly dysfunctional (but very loyal) group gets on better ground as a team.
I would recommend this book to readers who like stories about imperfect people, former military characters and a little bit of romantic suspense.
The first book in Becky McGraw's Deep Six Security. When Susan Whitmore leaves the FBI, she goes to Deep Six Security for a job. Dave Logan hires her, as a secretary. But Dave needs someone like Susan for a special undercover job and Susan agrees to it.
I have read several books by Becky McGraw and liked them. I didn't get the same vibe with this one. I didn't like either of the main characters. The "sex" was on the rough side at times. Just not my "cuppa". Now the suspense portion was slightly better but still felt flawed. But the style of writing was nice and easy to follow and get through.
This was a decent story. My gripe with this was Dave. He was a complete douchebag. Some of the things he did & said had my head spinning... and not in a good way. He's an asshole control freak who came off very harsh. Especially with situations where he was in the wrong. He had no right to get so defensive when shit hit the fan about the info he kept from Susan. But she still seemed to overlook that stuff & have feelings for him. I can't stand when characters are written as confusing lust with love. Her vagina loved him but how could she after some of the shit he's done & said?! Ugh
But overall, it was a good read. I'm looking forward to reading the other Deep Six guys' stories.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! Five wows for my five-stars! Becky what a way to start a series. Yes, I read them out of order but this book was my favorite!!!! I loved "Barracuda" Even though there was so much "dislike" between Dave and Sue I really did believe their attraction and how fast the fell for each other. Becky really has a way of writing tension, drama and some great sex scenes...oh and add comedy! That Deep Six Security crew is awesome. I received an ARC for an honest review and I am SO happy I was able to read this book. Thanks Becky and I cannot wait to read more. This is a must read for everyone!
This is book one in the Deep Six Security Series and features Dave Logan as the owner of the security company. There was a lot of humor in this romantic suspense/thriller. The book was well written and the characters likeable, you will love the banter back and forth between them. Dave is forced to hire Susan after she loses her FBI job. She is a barracuda and hard to work with so he puts her as his secretary. They are thrown together when they go undercover as husband and wife to a fertility clinic. Lots and danger and suspense follows. Their chemistry is over the top and the sex is hot. A great start to the series. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Dave, I am still trying to figure out how two people with such diametrically opposed points of view about -- just about everything-- could possibly end up together. But then, I guess you do bring out another side of Susan… thank goodness. And in the end… Just swallow your pride and go for it!
There were times I had to laugh, because things were just so impossible! I sat on the edge of my chair more than once… Got lost and skipped dinner… Surfaced and turned on a lamp… and read on. I yelled a time or two. What?? And I was sorely vexed at the tangled up mess when I was nearing the end… Bottom line: A wild and crazy ride… Good book. 4 ½ stars.
A story that is worth reading. It is hot and has a nice storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely. It flows nicely of the pages and captivates you from the first to last chapter. The emotional roller coaster and unexpected twists makes you want to read it in one setting.
The story is written in a way that you feel you are a part of it. Both main characters are strong and stubborn. They are not used to get help from others. Their chemistry is amazing. The story has passion, drama, family issues, trust issues, action, passion and mystery.
An amazing first book of a series. It makes it difficult to wait for the next one.
Susan has hard edges because she works in a man's world and thinks she has to be tough. They've nicknamed her the Barracuda. Dave Logan has his own agency and thinks he doesn't like Susan. When she comes to work for him, he realizes he doesn't like the Barracuda but he likes Susan.
Now, they have to solve a mystery involving surrogates, unknown medicine, undercover work and the Russian mob. It was fun watching them struggle to define their relationship and solve the mystery.
This was a standalone and I'm ready to read the next book in the series about another member of Logan's team.
Good action suspense story. The romance left me cold. There was so much antagonism and anger between Dave and Susan, and on an individual basis, it was irritating. The few moments they had that were sweet, kind of sexy, and they were nice to each other, we're not enough to override the rest of their relationship.
I'm glad this was not the first book I read in the series, because I'm not sure I would have continued.I
The intrigue, the action, and suspense is what really made this one worth reading for me.
This book is a wonderful blend of romance, suspense, and humor. The characters of Dave and Susan are great. Sparks really fly off these two whether they are flirting or fighting. Add in a mystery to solve, an excellent array of secondary characters, and steam and you have an enjoyable read and a very promising start to this new series. I'm posting a completely honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
This fabulous book is the first in the Deep Six Security series and it features Dave Logan and Susan Whitmore. It’s a love/hate situation with these two. The sexy, angry, angsty banter between them is fantastic! I love that she and the other members of Deep Six Security got so close AND how it all happened.
The story line was jampacked with action while their sizzling romance weaved in and out of the story. Fan-freaking-tastic! Great series! I can’t wait to read more.
Oh my gosh. I have a serious girl crush on the female lead character. I want to be just like her when I grow up. Lol. She doesn't let anyone or anything get the best of her and is probably one of the strongest women I have ever read about. I can't wait to read more in this series.
This is a good beginning to the Deep Six Security series. In this book, you're introduced to the team and their dynamics along with a mission to rescue young ladies being experimented on by doctors, scientists, and mobsters. Looking forward to reading more from this series.
