I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
I wanted to start Mated to Fenrir, but then in the first chapter three side characters got mentioned that I didn't know, so I decided to read Swipe Right for Kuk, Baal and Horus first. After that I was ready to read Mated to Fenrir and it was nice to actually know who the side characters were and how they found their romance.
Mated to Fenrir features a fated mates romance between wolf shifter Delia and the wolf shifter god Fenrir. The two meet at a Jinx party and know they are fated mates, after a dance and a kiss they go their separate ways, not knowing whether they meet again. Ofcourse they meet again and their romance deepens.
I liked the take on fated mates this book had. Here the wolves can tell they are fated mates, but fated mates is only a who is right for them right now thing and they still have to work on themselves and their relationship to stay fated mates. I thought this was an interesting take on the trope and I liked how Delia and Fenrir wanted to make sure they could built something lasting and went out of their way to date first and get to know each other before going through with the mate bond.
I liked these two together. The fated mates thing gave a good reason for their attraction and pull to each other, but I liked how they both took this seriously and wanted to do some dates first before mating. I liked how this led them to go on some dates they thought would be un-sexy as a way to keep their hands off each other, as their wolves wanted them to seal the deal already. There were some fun scenes and I liked reading about them and getting to know each other more. I had hoped for more about what it's like being wolf shifters, but there was a scene were they shift and run together, which was nice.
To summarize: This was another fun book in the Jinx series. I made sure to read some other books first so I knew who the side characters were that got mentioned in the first chapter. I liked Delia and Fenrir and seeing them grow closer. The fated mates thing was handled interestingly, with it being more of a right now good for each other thing and still requiring them to work on their relationship. I liked this take on the trope and I liked seeing Delia and Fenrir take it seriously and go on dates first before falling into bed and sealing the mate bond as they wanted to make sure they both wanted this and not just because of the fated mates thing. This was another easy and fun read in this series.
A cute twist on a fated mates romance. The wolf shifter/god Fenrir and a human Delia meet by accident and then find out they are mates. I thought it was an interesting twist that you could have more than one mate bond in your life. That’s a new take on this genre. I’ve never seen it in a fated mates trope before. I thought the courtship between these two was adorable and the couple spicy scenes were the right amount. If you’ve read the Jinx series you’ll recognize some of the couples from prior books which was cute. Love a good cameo. A quick enjoyable read.
I received an ARC copy from the author and though not required to post a review I wanted to offer my thoughts on the book after reading it.
This is a book in the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series where gods and goddesses interact with mortal paranormals to have a good time and possibly find their attraction may lead to longer associations.
Delia has let her inner wolf lead her into too many failed relationships in finding her fated mate but she reluctantly agrees to go with her friends to a party at the agency and meets Fenrir. There is an instant attraction and both of their inner wolves want this meeting to progress but Delia freezes because of her failed relationships and runs away only to meet up with him later at another function.
They decide to take it easy in casually dating and find they really like each others company in doing things together and talking before letting things lead into a more sexual area.
Trust and communication are paramount in any relationship and this shows how if you build that type of foundation first and have it solid so the rest will follow and fit in nicely to make you both happy and content.
I enjoyed this book and the proper approach one should take in establishing a relationship with another even though a strong chemistry already exists between you.
I happily recommend this book as one I think you’ll enjoy and if you like it you can check out the books previously written in this series and read more stories of other gods, goddesses and paranormal mortals who meet at these functions and their related stories.
A wonderfully sweet romance connected to the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series, with gods and mythology from round the world mixing. The god realm is fun to picture, a Greek temple next to a Chinese shrine, an Italian restaurant and Hade's night club "The Underworld". The idea of ancient gods using apps in the modern world is also great. The story is lighthearted with plenty of humor, and there are some lovely heartfelt scenes between the main characters as they realise how they both feel about each other, trying to make sure their wolves have got it right this time.
Delia hasn't had much luck with finding her fated mate, though her wolf has identified several they've never worked out. So when she's offered a night out with her girlfriends at the Jinx Masquerade Party she goes not looking for love, though her wolf thinks she's found her mate while there.
Fenrir has also given up on looking for his fated mate but his dad Loki had got him a ticket to the Masquerade Party, but from the moment he started talking with Delia, he knew he'd found the one. But he also knows he needs to take it slow to show her that they can work long term, though with her fated mate being immortal he's got the time.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Like many of Laura Greenwood's books Fenrir was an extremely easy read along with not being long or complex.
Delia a wolf shifter had not had the best experience with partners or possible fated mates, so when an immortal God pops up at an event and tells her his wolf is convinced they are fated mates she doesn’t jump into his arms immediately.
Author Laura Greenwood has gone into a great deal of detail both funny and touching about how hard being a fated mate can be. Both of these shifters are determined to be sure they have what it takes to be a partner, one that enjoys each other’s personality and quirks, rather than just relying on what fate has decided
A really entertaining read with plenty of opportunities for both of these characters to turn away from each other but like any real relationship they spend time learning about each other.
If you enjoy paranormal romance then you’re definitely going to enjoy this read.
Don’t miss this you will enjoy the light heated way both characters try to navigate through their reflections hip with both ups and downs.
MATED TO FENRIR by Laura Greenwood is part of the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series and also part of the Fated Mates Collection of six stories. The world building is enchanting, with plenty of steam, between these characters. This particular story is about a mortal wolf shifter and a Norse God. Get ready for a slow build to their steamy romance in this light and easy to read story.
Delia and Fenrir are not looking for mates when they run into each other at a Jinx masquerade ball. Both of their wolves are saying MATE. Delia's been burned too many times to listen to her wolf. Fenrir is attracted to Delia but not interested in a mate. Both are afraid of falling in love too quickly, but their wolves have a different idea.
If you enjoy fun light-hearted romances featuring gods from different mythologies around the world, some HEA, and a happy ever after at the end of every book, start the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series today.
I did receive a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Another quick and cosy read in the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series, this time with the god Fenrir being the fated mate of our FMC Delia. I enjoy this series in general, and this was no different, although it was the least favourite of the series so far for me, despite shifters and fated mates being very much one of my things. Having said that, it was still an enjoyable read as the two meet and naturally know they are connected immediately but take their time to explore getting to know each other before rushing into a bond, having made that mistake too many times before. An enjoyable palate cleanser, I would happily read any of this series knowing it will have a feel good effect on my mood, and always a lovely HEA.
Delia and Fenrir are not looking for mates when they run into each other at a Jinx masquerade ball. Their wolves have a different idea. Fated mates can come and go if mates grow in different directions. Delia is tired of mate bonds that don’t last, but her wolf wants this man. It has been a long time since Fenrir’s wolf reacted so strongly. He cannot see the face behind the mask, but he knows he wants to know the woman better.
This is a spicy adult-only romance. I liked the approach that Delia and Fenrir had toward their relationship. I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
Super cozy, sweet. ‘Mated to Fenrir’ shows us though our heart won’t always get it right the first time—or even the second—we should never give up on love. Without those stumbled steps, we wouldn’t be right where we need to be at that very moment we meet the right one. Our true forever. This is a really nice read.
Balancing caution with our inner wolf The body wants what the body wants, as our pair of wolf shifters prove again and again. But we mere mortals know all too well that following our instincts for mating doesn’t always lead us to that Happily Ever After. Readers are treated to a lot of flirting and teasing in this cuddly & cozy romance set in the author’s world of the “Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency” (loved the overlap!).
Chuckle: The downside of females turning immortal while still of “a certain age” – NEVER thought of that!
I wanna visit the god realm just for the food alone!
Easygoing. I enjoyed this easy going romance. Another Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency matchmaking success. Although this twist is where Wolf Shifter Delia gives up on finding her fated mate only he shows up unexpectedly as the Norse Wolf god Fenrir. I like how they slow their attraction and dated to know one another. The fact they want their new relationship to thrive makes this an enjoyable read.
Fenrir and Delia were a great couple. I loved their cute dates, taking it slowly while learning about each other, and how they communicated with each other before getting serious with their mate bond. The spice was scattered perfectly through the book. I enjoyed seeing previous secondary characters from other books in this series and how their relationships are coming along.
The characters are fantastic, the world building is enchanting, and there is plenty of steam, but those are not the best thing in this book. The thing I enjoyed most was a realistic look at how "Fated Mates" might actually work in a realistic fashion. Kudos to the author for that alone. I really enjoyed this book, and hope others do as well.
Well this book was very different to the other books in the jinx dating series as it pulled away from them a lot more than the others quickly. But it still involved other gods and characters in the books. It was definitely different with the wolf shifters. And fated mates too. But still very enjoyable I’m hoping the next book involves Poseidon..
Shifter, short story - as are all the books in this series. I found this story on the repetitive side, unlike her others. This was slow, with intention, but wasn't my favorite of the series. I do enjoy how each book is a different god/paranormal. Laura does a great job sticking to the myths and legends which keeps me coming back. I wish there was more wolf shifting in this one though!
I really enjoyed this story, and the way that the author took what little lore existed about Fenrir and created a whole new talr for his background. The fated mates and wolf shifter aspect of the story was interesting but it was the human aspect that really drew me in. A great read and I loved the characters. Can’t wait to see who’s next to be paired up!
Mated To Fenrir by Laura Greenwood and part of Fated Mates Collection a multi-author collaboration is a mix of Norse Mythology and paranormal romance. It's a sweet short story with cameos from the Jinx series which is lways nice to read. looking forward to more! Recommended!
I received an ARC from the author and am leaving my review freely.
Another quick and easy, slightly spicy romance in the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series! This one is a tale about the Norse gods, Fenrir, who is a wolf shifter who encounters his fated mate, Delia, at a Jinx Paranormal Dating event. As with the other books in the series, there is a HEA. Thanks to the author for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
After another disappointing match, Delia decides to take a break from dating. As a wolf shifter, she knows her fated mate is out there, but her inner wolf has been wrong too many times. With her friends all dating gods, though, she finds herself at the Jinx Masquerade. A dance and unexpected kiss with a masked man has her running away. A second encounter with him has her wolf howling, but Delia is determined to take it slow, especially when she learns he’s the Norse god, Fenrir. Can a god really be her fated mate?
I enjoyed getting to know Delia and Fenrir as they slowly built their relationship. The concept of fated mates was nicely fleshed out with the caveat that it’s not necessarily a one and done deal. Timing, personal growth, and working to keep the relationship going all play into the mate bond. A right now mate may not be a forever one leading to a painful separation. Fenrir’s immortality adds another layer of complexity to the relationship between him and Delia. Their mutual decision to take things slow and communicate openly gives them a solid basis for a believable relationship.
I am really enjoying these quick stories in the Jinx Dating Agency series. Fenrir and Delia are drawn to each other immediately, with their wolves trying to take over. I liked that they took the time to know each other before bonding. I am looking forward to more in this series.
That's a good one. I have always liked the instant thing between the shifters. Some try to resist it some don't. It is fun to see which happens. I enjoyed this one. Fenrir is not as aggressive as I thought he would be.
This is a very good story about two wolf shifters and one of them happens to be an immortal god. One of the best parts for me is the idea that the story emphasizes that even fated relationships need constant care and work to keep going. Excellent author
This was a short story about wanting to find true love and being afraid of falling in love too quickly. A quick read. I received a ARC and the views and opinions are my own.
I'm voluntarily leaving a review after receiving a free copy. I liked how Fenrir and Delia talked and got to know each other before mating like their wolves wanted to at their first meeting.
Chance, resistance, angst all play a role in leading to your true mate. This was an engaging paranormal romance that takes you back to the world of dating agencies. An interesting read.
Mated to Fenrir gives the fated mates trope a much-needed shake (and a wag of the tail). When Delia quite literally stumbles into Fenrir—the big, bad wolf god himself—the sparks aren’t just fate’s doing, they’re earned through charm, banter, and a courtship as sweet as it is sizzling. Laura Greenwood cleverly reminds us that mate bonds aren’t a free pass; they take work, compromise, and a healthy appreciation for each other’s quirks. With cameos for longtime fans and a fresh twist on shifter lore, this book is equal parts heartwarming, funny, and delightfully feral.
