Worried about his upcoming heat, Jae signs up for the Mate Match app to find an alpha, not only to get him through it, but for an actual partnership, something he hasn't experienced before. When he meets Curtis, the strength of their connection sends him into an early heat. He asks Curtis to take him through it and is surprised at their compatibility in and out of the bedroom. Could Mate Match have really found him someone special?
When Curtis was pushed into signing up for the app by his friends, he truly didn't expect to be matched with someone as sweet and sexy as Jae. He was even more shocked to be asked to go through a heat with the omega. Can he convince Jae to take a chance on him for something more?
A surprise pregnancy threatens their relationship, putting their Mate Match to the test.
Mate Curtis & Jae was previously released in the Knotting Hearts Charity Anthology. The story has since been expanded with more than 20k of additional content. You can expect this MM omegaverse, mpreg story to have a whole lot of fluffy sweetness, heat, and a cute baby.
Mate Match: Curtis & Jae is book one in the series, Mate Match, by Jax Stuart. This is my very first book by this author. This was previously released in the Knotting Hearts Charity Anthology. It has since been expanded. I love alpha/omega romance and this one was wonderful. I have to admit that toward the end, there were some tears shed, happy ones I assure you, but there was so much emotion. I couldn’t hold them in!
Jae Lee is twenty eight years old. He is an omega, an illustrator and has dreams of releasing his own book. Jae’s family, especially his grandparents, are very traditional. They chose his previous boyfriend for him and it ended badly with the boyfriend cheating. He is now trying the new dating app, Mate Match, which claims to have the highest success rate of them all. The first couple of dates were NOT successful. But they now say they’ve found a 94% match which is rare. Jae not only wants someone to help him through an upcoming heat cycle, but he wants a long term partner, a forever love. Could this finally be it?!
Curtis Taylor is thirty two years old and is an alpha. His friends call him a “soft” alpha. He’s very open minded, and loving. He owns his own home renovations business. He has a lovely home and longs for someone to share it with. His friends pushed him into signing up for Mate Match. He is shocked to be notified to be matched at such a high percentage rate!
Jae’s heat is weeks away. As soon as they first touch, at their first date, though, something happens. The connection is so strong between them that it sends Jae into his heat early. Curtis promises to stay with him and help him through it. But it is obvious to them both that this connection is more than just in the bedroom. Both have hopes that it will continue long after Jae’s heat is over.
These two were so flippin’ adorable. The whole book was!! There was one little glitch in their blossoming new relationship. Something that they thought they were protected against. Would this end any possibility of them staying together or is it just one more thing to bring them closer? I really enjoyed this author’s writing style and will definitely stay with this series if there are more books.
“Having you in my life makes me the happiest man alive.”
Jae and Curtis have both joined Mate Match , an online dating agency. One day they both get notification of a match, and its each other. Things between them progress really quickly and one their first date Jae goes into heat and Curtis helps him through it, ending in a baby. No angst, just a lovely story with nice secondary characters.
I'd like a follow up for Brady and see him get his match.
This was my first MM Omegaverse, and I think I found a new favourite version of the omegaverse trope, even if it left me sobbing (happy tears) in places. brilliantly written and i really enjoyed Curtis and Jae's story
There were a lot of exclamation points in this book. That was my major takeaway. The storyline abd telling instead of showing writing style was kind of boring, so I found myself wondering why non-American authors set their books in the United States without doing any research about our terrible health care system. Ain't no one paying a $70,000 L&D bill for someone else in the US. At the end there I was kind of having a game of tell me where you're from based on the non-American medical things you're talking about. Pethidine and Entonox gave it away. Entonox isn't even legal in the US lol.
I was hoping for more from this, maybe it was me and not the story? I don't know. *sigh* I did have some issues with the writing style, it felt repetitive in places so unfortunately I found myself skimming more than I'd like.
This story was previously apart of the Knotting Hearts anthology but has since been expanded. I didn't have the chance to read this while it was apart of that anthology but I think that was for the better as I got to read a longer story about these two sweet men.
Both Curtis and Jae have had bad luck with relationships and neither of them really want to use the popular dating app. With the help (more like meddling) of their best friends, they end up matching and the rest as they say, is history!
This is such a sweet romance story there is heat throughout, but at its core is sweetness and adorableness. Jae has been treated poorly in his past and all he wants is someone to love, support, and be there for him. Curtis has longed for a family of his own but no one has ever felt right until he meets Jae. I thought the way they took their time getting to know each other was really beautiful, yes there were spicy scenes early on as Jae went into heat, but even after his heat was over they gradually got to know each other over time which I liked a lot.
Curtis is the epitome of a Cinnamon Roll Alpha, he'll go to war for his mate but he's a big softie inside. The way he treats Jae is full of respect and love, and Jae loves and respects him right back. Their relationship is truly so special and I love them together!
The side characters were intriguing and interesting in their own right, my heart broke for Brady and I hope both him and Marty get their own stories at some point. I'll keep my fingers crossed for that!
Jae and Curtis might the two sweetest men in the universe and the story of how they get together is a sweet, low-angst treat.
After a disastrous relationship with the alpha his family picked for him, Jae is ready to find his a mate for himself and signs up for the Mate Match app. He doesn't have much luck at first, but keeps with it until he is matched with Curtis, a caretaker alpha with a lot of love to give. They hit it off immediately on the app and their first date is perfect, until Jae goes into heat early. After spending his heat together, Curtis and Jae are all in and falling in love.
Their relationship story is very low-angst and they fit together like puzzle pieces. Their chemistry is hot and despite working in vastly different fields, they have a lot in common. They align in every way that matters and things progress well until Jae finds out he is pregnant. It's a surprise (especially since they used protection), but they want this baby and continue to grow closer as they await their little one.
There is mild drama outside the relationship that keeps the plot going and interesting. The chemistry between Jae and Curtis often had me smiling. They are really cute together. I also loved the side characters, the MC's best friends, and hope they get their own stories. I'm looking forward to more from this world. This book was ultimately a sweet palate cleanser of a romance perfect for a day of relaxation.
Jae is an omega looking for that special alpha to love. He signs up with Mate Match and is matched with Curtis. Curtis signs up for Mate Match on the encouragement from his friends. He does want someone special, so it didn't take much encouragement. When Jae and Curtis start texting they really get along. They meet for dinner and everything is going swimmingly until Jae goes into heat. Jae asks Curtis to help him through it and Curtis is happy to help. Come Monday morning these two are smitten. They're determined to keep dating. A month later they're still going strong when Jae finds himself pregnant. Since they used protection, they're surprised but not upset. That's not the only surprise that comes out. Jae and Curtis continue to get closer while awaiting their little bundle.
This is a low drama, sweet romance. I was hooked from page one. Jae and Curtis are a perfect match. They're both caretakers that blend well together. Their chemistry is good and the sexy times are hot. 🔥 The friends are very supportive. I especially liked Brady. I felt bad for his situation and hope he gets a book with a big HEA. Curtis's best friend Marty is another great character who I hope gets his own book.
That was such a cute, no angst story. If you don't like insta love, you probably won't like this one. I, on the other hand, love insta love, so it was right up my alley. It was a slice of life story, that basically followed the mmcs trough their meeting and pregnancy. I always love it, when an author skips a third break up, which Jax Stuart luckily did for this one.
They had great chemistry and were exactly what the other person needed. Jae helped Curtis getting more comfortable in his own skin and Curtis was Jae's rock that supported him. They are just the cutest!
They both had great families and amazing friends. I loooved how they mashed their families together, it was beautiful to see.
I really hope Brady and Marty get a book, they both deserve their special someone!
This is a fated mates omegaverse romance, featuring Jae and Curtis, and is book one in the Mate March series.
Jae turns to the Mate Match app to find an alpha for his upcoming heat and is stunned by the instant chemistry he shares with Curtis, who steps in to help and quickly becomes more than just a match.
This is a sweet story with loads of emotional connection. Jae and Curtis have instant chemistry, and their relationship feels both tender and intense. The surprise pregnancy adds a little drama, but their bond makes you root for them all the way.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 1 in series MM omegaverse romance Dating app Fated mates Texting & dates Caretaker MC Early heat Spicy times Surprise pregnancy Found family HEA
Honestly this one is a case of not for me and I think it might be where this was originally short, then expanded upon. It feels very rushed and telling not showing in lots of areas, the pacing wasn't working for me.
Their initial meeting was cute and the instant connection, along with their various friendships. Yet the story never fully grabbed me, every time I though it might there was suddenly these random facts/thoughts on how omegaverse works thrown in between them having conversation.
It just pulled me out of the story, this may be a great introduction type read for those new to omegaverse tales. Simply wasn't working for me...

This was a lovely fluffy little Mpreg story with a surprise unexpected baby thing. It was enjoyable, and the story floats smoothly. Very very little angst.. Pleasant side characters with a couple who seem to be set up additional books in the match mate series. I like mm moreg genre books , and I’ve always pleased when I find a new author or book.
This was such a good MM Omegaverse story. I absolutely loved Jae and Curtis. They meet on a dating app and a near perfect match. The rest is a beautiful love story for an alpha and an omega that each just want someone to love.
I loved this up until the drug company storyline. After that, it felt blah and boring. It seemed like the storyline was less about the characters and more about that point. The baby storyline felt like an afterthought and was not well written.
Curtis and jae sign up for the dating app both from unsuccessful previous relationships. I enjoyed the concept of alpjas and omegas in which the omegas can be pregnant irrespective of gender. Their relationship still has its troubles but both are wanting to make it work.
definitely, the better version of omega verse I've read actually left me wanting to read more, and I'm hoping this author does some with how good this one was
