Summer evening fantastic drama fluff. Super emotional, interesting plot that twists with page turning excitement. Starts with a hawt 🥵🥵🔥 hookup in a limo. silver fox Boss sets the kindle to a xxx rating after company party. Continues because he can’t help his bossy self and is totally obsessed with her. Love love this west coast locale. Fun sassy feminine energy and great delivery of secret baby reveal. complex family relationships keep it real. Cannot wait for more in this series.

Kind of disappointing.

I wanted to like this much better than I did. I just… couldn’t get myself to like the hero. He never really did anything to redeem himself or pay (non monetarily) for how he behaved. Even after they were together, he knew he loved her, she TOLD him she loved him he wouldn’t tell her for months. Literally not until AFTER he proposed. Ugh I’m getting annoyed just typing this.

The story set aside I thought the smex scenes were pretty hot with a smidge of humiliation k thrown in.

Taking a Risk on Love -
Xander and Amelia were just meant to work together on a platonic basis, as he was her father’s best friend, but spend time working together in close proximity turned into steamy dalliances. However, Xander family dynamics made him shy away from relationships and only engage in trysts, but Amelia’s felling for him grew the more time they spent together. Unfortunately, Xander and Amelia had a quarrel, which led to her resignation not long after she discovered her life was about to change and what made it worse was that a problem with her family led to a situation where she was in danger.

Luckily, Xander was able to help rescue Amelia with the help of her father, after he discovered the secret Amelia had been hiding from him. Xander and Amelia finally had a proper conversation after her family’s situation was resolved and it gave them the chance to finally acknowledge their true feelings for each other, so they could have a chance at getting a happy and fulfilling future together. This story was heartwarming, but also heartbreaking in lots of ways and will have your emotions flying all over the place. I found myself riveted as I eagerly turned the pages of the book, which made it difficult to take a break once I started reading the book. This book deserves a high recommendation.

Blurb doesn’t match

Spoiler alert…..The plot was great and it was a good read with minimal errors. The thing that drove me nuts the most was that the little blurb for the story didn’t match the actual story. It says that she ran and was hiding out in a motel room and then she gets a text and doesn’t know if it’s from Xander or the sharks circling that her dad owes money to…but here’s the thing….she was wasn’t hiding out. Amelia went to her dad’s house to talk to him about everything he was hiding and she was kidnapped from his house and taken to a motel in Vegas. From there, she has no contact with Xander whatsoever. He knows that something is wrong and is searching for her, but he doesn’t know what’s going on until her dad shows back up and asks him for money. From that point, they get the money and rescue her, but there is no hiding out or texting that says she’s been found. It hate when you’re reading what the story is supposed to be about and then it’s not accurate. It’s like click bait. I also didn’t like the fact that Xander had feelings, but wouldn’t admit it and acted like a jerk. Even when Amelia was saved, he still acted like a jerk and they basically gave each other the cold shoulder until they flew back from Vegas and ended up back in Amelia’s apartment. I enjoyed the book overall though and really liked Amelia.

If you love a silver fox who knows how to bring the heat, then this story is definitely for you.

A forbidden romance, fraught with emotions, plot so interesting that the twists will have you burning up the pages just to get to the end.

A workplace tryst with her boss at a company party becomes something more, bordering on obsession, until our FMC finds herself in an unexpected situation, she’s pregnant with her boss’s baby.

Throw in complex family relationships between the MMC and FMC who are determined to keep in real whilst matching the sassy feminine energy of our FMC, but the surprising part is when the MMC accepts the pregnancy getting the fresh start they both deserve.

Xander and Amelia’s story was heartwarming as it was heartbreaking. With the foundation of every story the words will draw you in, your emotions getting the best of you. They will keep you riveted from the start til the very end.

The sexy scenes were steamy and spicy and Daddy Xander was definitely packing the daddy vibes when it came to taking care of girl Amelia.

Recommend both the author and the book.

For starters, there’s the age gap, the fact that he’s her boss, and the inconvenient and not-so-small issue that he’s also her father’s best friend. Classic forbidden-romance setup? Yet, what unfolds is far more than a trope-filled romp—this is an engaging, emotionally satisfying romance that manages to feel both fresh and familiar in the best way.
Xander, the emotionally unavailable MMC with commitment issues (courtesy of being abandoned by his mother as a child), tries to keep things simple after a tipsy one-night stand with Amelia by proposing a no-strings-attached arrangement. Purely physical. No complications. Totally foolproof... yeah, right? What made this story sparkle for me was Amelia herself. She’s confident, refreshingly self-aware, and not the least bit shy about going after what she wants. And yes, there’s also an unexpected pregnancy (because apparently antibiotics and birth control still don’t mix), which throws yet another wrench into Amelia and Xander’s already-complicated journey. Messy, sexy, and surprisingly different, the story blends classic romance beats with enough unexpected turns to keep the pages turning—and the heart swooning—right up to the final happily ever after.

Daddy's Dirty Little Secret is a standalone contemporary romance by Sofia T Summers, and is an age gap (father's business partner), secret pregnancy and workplace romance all rolled into one.

This is a seriously hot and sexy, fast paced book that packs in a hell of a lot. Between a workplace romance with her father's business partner, there is also a secret pregnancy, dubious debts and kidnapping. I really enjoyed having all these elements rolled into one story, with two characters (Xander and Amelia) that I quickly grew to love.

Xander is an interesting guy - he's barely in his forties, a lone wolf type of guy and a brilliant businessman. While his mind takes a bit longer to fully catch up with his heart, he has no hesitation when it comes to jumping into the action.

Amelia is your typical, early twenties female hero when it comes to age gap romances with obscenely wealthy businessmen. However, one thing that I really did like about her is that she is in no way coy and nowhere near to being a simpering miss. She is also smart when it comes to her career, and she doesn't let feelings to get in the way (at least at the start).

I feel like that's as much as I can get into without spoiling anything in the plot, what I've mentioned is basically what's in the blurb anyway.

I’m always pulled into ALL books so far that I’ve read by Sofia T. Summers. ALWAYS and very quickly. This is an age gap, secret pregnancy, dad’s business partner standalone. It’s fast paced, deliciously hot. Amelia has always had the hots for Xander. Amelia tries to keep work and pleasure separate, but it doesn’t work for long though. They can’t get enough of each other and Xander quickly proposes a no strings attached arrangement that Amelia greedily accepts, but realizes soon that she can’t separate her feelings, but also can’t stop seeing him either.
Amelia’s father Laurence ends up borrowing a lot of money from a ruthless man and puts his daughter’s life in danger when he can’t pay it back. Said man kidnaps Amelia for ransom, but her father doesn’t have the money. Xander does and ends up becoming the hero and saving the day/saving Amelia. Oh, also Amelia has been keeping her pregnancy a secret from Xander.
In the end Laurence’s actions cause his relationships with his daughter and Xander to be strained.
Excellent book and I can’t wait to read more books by Sofia T. Summers.

Amelia is a strong and smart woman but she goes weak at the knees for the new owner of NextGen, Xander. Xander also happens to be best friends and ex business partners with her Dad, Laurence.

Amelia is just smitten with Xander and one drunk night she decides to ignore her inhibitions and go for it with Xander. They hit it off and can’t help themselves with meeting up more and more times to scratch that itch. Eventually, Xander proposes a NSA relationship. Will it stand the test of time”no feelings?” Or will it all blow up in their face?

When Laurence gets into a bit of money trouble he doesn’t realize the people he borrowed from will stop at nothing to get their money back. The next thing he knows, they have Amelia. Laurence panics and sets things in motion that will alter his relationship with everyone.


This was so good. It had me going like a roller coaster. The beginning coasting to the top of the hill and the rest is a rapid fall down. Lots of action and excitement. It truly was a thrill to read.

I liked getting to know everyone, to see how Xander and Amelia's pasts had impacted them, it helped me to a certain extent to get why Xander was the way he was, although I would have liked a little more personal growth from him, and I would have liked some more depth to their connection as I felt that wasn't as strong as their chemistry. I did enjoy Amelia and Godwin's relationship, I liked seeing them together and it was that that pushed Xander into some self reflection and towards realising what he felt and what he wanted.

I have found it a little hard to review this book as the blurb (which interested me) and the title (in my opinion) are not a true reflection of the actual story, which was disappointing for me and made it a little hard for me to connect to the story as I was trying to fit what I thought I knew to the story I was actually reading. Later on in the story, a character who I liked completely disappeared, they were even missing from a scene that I had complete certainty they would have been part of any day of the week, that didn't sit right with me.

Xander Blackwell is forty-one. It is New Year’s Eve. He is giving his speech to the employees of Next Gen, a company started by his former partner Laurence Johnson. Laurence is there with his twenty-six year old daughter, Amelia, who heads the marketing department. Xander thinks Amelia is very attractive but is trying to remain professional. Also, his mother abandoned him when he was young and Xander is afraid to let anyone close to him.

Godwin works with Amelia and they are best friends. He is gay so not attracted to Amelia, but he does know about her massive crush on Xander. Laurence wants to leave the party early so Xander offers to drive Amelia home. Godwin teases her about what might happen on the ride home. In the limousine on the ride home, Xander and Amelia give in to their attraction for each other. A few weeks later, they enter into a no strings attached arrangement.

I loved Xander and Amelia together. I wanted them to open up to each other emotionally not just physically. I worried that the trouble that Laurence was in would hurt Amelia. Good story.

This author delivers exactly what fans of the genre crave: forbidden love, sizzling chemistry, and a satisfying emotional payoff. It’s not for the faint of heart, but if you enjoy your romance with a side of scandal, this one’s for you.

The book is very steamy, with explicit scenes that are central to the characters’ development and the plot. Xander Blackwell, a CEO who is the boss of his best friend's daughter one he has a NSA but multiple passionate "nights" with. As the two navigate a NSA relationship and a difficult workplace dynamic, their chemistry ignites and both don't know how to deal with it. This threatens to unravel both their professional lives and personal boundaries... but the storyline explodes with multiple difficulties and both characters have to identify what they really want from life, each other and take a chance....

Bold and powerful writing.

Daddy's Dirty Little Secret was an age gap, secret workplace pregnancy romance. It follows Amelia Johnson and her father's best friend Xander Blackwell.
I enjoyed the premise of the story but I found it hard to like Xander throughout 90% of the storyline. I found him to be selfish, controlling and just plain childish only caring about himself. Her father wasn't much better but he did try to make things right by the end. Amelia had her own faults yet her reasons were a little more reasonable. I will say I absolutely loved her best friend Godwin. I found him to be an integral part of the story so it confused me when he all but disappeared from the storyline never to be mentioned again especially with what happened!

I must say the description doesn't match the story and the title didn't quite fit either.

Xander’s complicated past and commitment issues clash hard with Amelia’s growing feelings—and when a blow-up leads to her resignation (and a life-changing secret), it all threatens to fall apart. Add in danger from her family and some serious emotional fallout, and this story becomes more than just a forbidden office romance—it’s a fight for love, healing, and second chances.

The chemistry is *blazing*, the drama is real, and the emotional payoff is worth every page. If you love age gap, forbidden dynamics, and seeing two messy, passionate people figure it out—this one’s for you. Highly recommend!

This book was not for me. The author had too much going on. The storyline with her father and loan shark had more 'screen time' than the actual romance development between the mmc and fmc. All we saw from them was sex. Nothing to show how they even fell in love. All of a sudden, loan shark issue was resolved and they are in love. What exactly do they love about each other? One day they are having no strings attached sex, the next day they're so in love. Just ridiculous. Author should have focused on their story and not a secondary character's own. No need to try to add drama. The company not going too well was enough of drama. Them solving that together would have been a way to spend more none sex time together and we actually see them fall in love on page not just being tagged on to finish the book. I would have dnfed if I hadn't been reading it to review

When Xander and Amelia both get a little tipsy at the company’s party, they just can’t resist each other, and from there they start an unusual non-relationship together.
With Xander having issues relating to when his mother left him as a child, he’s very against a normal relationship.
Throw in the mystery of what was happening with Amelia’s father and everything gets very messy.
The story flows along with an interesting mix of mystery and relationships. There’s plenty going on including the steamy make-out sessions with Xander and Amelia.
They get their HEA but it’s not a straightforward journey.
Well worth reading.

What a wonderful story. We follow Amelia and Xander. Xander is her father's best friend and is the one she has been in love with for quite some time. She gets the chance to express her feelings when her father puts her under Xander's care and with a little bit of drinking it quickly becomes hot and steamy between them. Their hot night does not remain without consequences and it makes her run away. Their story takes a turbulent turn between the fact that she has a baby and that they have to deal with a loan shark because of her father and that the steam and interaction between her and Xander makes this a great story that keeps your attention.

When she discovers two pink lines Amelia goes on the run leaving chaos in its aftermath. Will her father's problems and a pregnancy she has a lot on her plate. Tie in a loan shark and you get one thrilling story filled with twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages.

the summary is not accurate

I find it annoying when the book summary does not match the story. Is the summary the original plan for the book? I mean it was a fine story but it wasn’t a one night stand and she didn’t run away to a seedy motel. The rest is accurate I guess. He didn’t seem to be a billionaire either… I guess this was kind of generic and didn’t have the intrigue from the summary. I don’t write reviews but dang I liked the summary but did not enjoy the book as much as I thought I would.

I really loved how the FMC stood out as the most admirable character among the MMC and her father! She acted out of pure love, which was so heartwarming. It was great to see the MMC and her father redeem themselves in the end. I found the MMC's jealousy pretty amusing too—I'm so glad he took a chance on love and ended up finding his happily ever after. That moment when he looked at his daughter in awe was truly inspiring!.

Really enjoyed this age gap/dad's friend standalone story , turning the pages to read how Amelia and Xander's NSA romance unfolds , finding out about her dad's troubles , her pregnancy and then being kidnapped , yeah this book kept you on the edge of your seat , great storyline and characters , a great mix of drama , secrets , steam and more , one to read.

This is a book about childhood crushes that last into adulthood. Amelia had a tough time after Zander took over completely of the company her father had started and where she had a big role.
But things get even more crazy when things heat up between Amelia and Zander and her father gets himself in some trouble with a loan shark.

Daddy’s Dirty Little Secret by Sofia T. Summers is the story of Xander and Amelia. He is best friends with her father, and her boss…and so, definitely taboo. But, that didn’t stop them from being drawn to each other.

There are so many things going on in this story…it was engrossing and enjoyable! There is an underlying story that is gripping. There are also plenty of surprises and twists in this read!

Xander Blackwell just bought the company and is her father's best friend. Amelia works for him and is attracted to him. One drunken night together and a big surprise. She leaves without a second thought. She is found but by who. The father of her baby or the loan shark. This is a great read that will keep you reading.
