Three historical novellas by Lacy Danes. I am a fan of historical romances and truly enjoyed the first two novellas. The first is tale of first loves who are reunited at a risque ball. The second is a tale of "enemies" turned lovers. I thought they were both sexy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I found the last, which featured paranormal elements, to be out of place with the first two. It, therefore, really detracted for my overall enjoyed of the book. Personally, I would have preferred the third novella to be a story of the another of the characters from the first two stories.
I'm pretty sure that the best thing about this book was the warning on the back cover: "WARNING! REALLY HOT book. Pretty much made my day that did. RIP Aphrodisia. Lol.
I absolutely love books set in history. Out other of the three stories, the one I really didn't care for was called 'Checkmate'. The other two were very inspiring though.
