Blood type: B Zodiac Sign: Capricorn Height: 154.5 cm Kotomi Aoki (青木琴美) once shared an apartment with fellow Sho-Comi manga artist Iori Shigano. She received the 2008 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo for Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu.
I truly wish someone would compile all the volume into one record in GR. I don't feel the need to review every volume when I can do if as a whole.
Anyway, I have no problem with the theme. I mean, I've read Flower On the Attic.
If you prefer the shorter version, there's an anime. But, it didn't cover the whole volume.
The artwork was okay. And it did feel a bit creepy because it's like Yori was forcing Iku to accept him. But, as time goes by, Yori realized he have to give Iku time and space to decide her own feeling.
Yori and Iku continue to be such a cute couple. Now, this being the 7th volume, the angst and sadness that both feel at not being able to be together and open about their relationship is getting just a bit old. However, the strong emotions are realistic and pretty well written, imo. There love is also very strong and deep. I really hope and wish they could stay together forever despite everything.
Yano continues being Yano. A bastard sure, but he also has a good heart and places Iku's happiness and relationship above his own feelings. Hope he finds someone who will love him as much.
Now, although the repetitiveness of Iku and Yori not being able to be together is getting a little well, just that repetitive, there is still enough funny and cute moments, as well as some good twists that doesn't really take away the enjoyment of this volume and overall manga.
For example, that freakin ending of this volume!!!! That girl, Yano's ex! Oh, has she gone so low, I cannot even!! I just had to roll my eyes at her statement that a girl's worst enemy, rival, whatever, is another woman! Like wtf!!! If that isn't some internalized mysoginy then I don't know what is. Also, the trope of mean girl and petty ex trying to make the life miserable and impossible of the current girlfriend is just urgggghhh. However, considering how good this manga is - I can let it slide. Especially since this was written in a less, let's say PC time.
Still, wtf with that ending?!!! It literally looked like Iku was going to get gang raped, touched, or have a incriminating picture taken while that girl just watched!! The f ia wrong with her!!! Ofc, I could not wait until the next volume so snuck a quick peak cause omg!!
Whatever happens afterwards is sure not to be good. Will people finally learn the truth? What about the mom? She keeps suspecting. And then are Iku and Yori really twins? Half siblings? What??? Oh, please let them be related by blood in some shape or form!!
Diosito ¿porqué continuo con este manga? No sé quién es más despreciable, él o ella. Ni siquiera las situaciones se solucionan bien :( mátenme o algo por favor D:
