After the brutal slaying of their Elder, the southern clan of Sasquatch rises with one vengeance. Reaching out to surrounding clans, they rally others to their cause and grow into a formidable force. Led by the fierce warrior Aluk, they emerge from the shadows of the Superior National Forest and launch a violent campaign against the human world in retaliation for the recent attack on their sanctuary and for generations of hunting and defilement of their territory.
As the boundary between predator and prey collapses, the bloodshed escalates. Suburban homes are no longer safe. Roads are no longer clear. And the annual Squatchsota Sasquatch Convention in Duluth, meant to celebrate cryptid lore, is now caught dead center in the uprising’s path.
The forest is alive with rage. The uprising has started. And no one is ready for what’s coming.

Aluk has gotten the other Sasquatch's to send warriors. They are heading out for revenge. Who will win this battle. Action packed fast-paced with amazing characters.
Ok, full disclosure: yes, I giggled like a small girl when I saw my name in this book and I'm not ashamed to admit that. Apart from writing fantastic cryptid horror, Luka Jacobs is a wonderful person who seriously enjoys interacting with her readers. I was also quite pleasantly surprised to see the author - who obviously doesn't know me - managing to match the personality of 'my' character to me. It really was a fun, once in a lifetime experience.
Still, I have to have some level of objectivity when reviewing this book, so here goes. If you've read the first two parts of this series, you know things are going to go down, so to speak. The Squatches are out for vengeance and they are getting bold. And soon, it all turns into an all-out nightmare, working up to a climactic ending
Forgetting about 'my' character, Jacobs does what she always does: create realistic and diverse characters that stick with you, even after only a short period of time. This book isn't 'pleasant' by any means: the violence is brutal, but I couldn't help smirking, or even laughing out loud at some of the scenes. Not because they were laughable, but they were grounded in realism and show that even under the most grueling circumstances, weird and funny things happen.
Very minor spoiler here.....
The way the different tribes were portrayed was interesting, with different characteristics, both in behaviour and appearance, partially due to their habitat.
Part 2 and 3 of this series were a more or less logical continuation of the first part and I'm very curious to see where Jacobs will go next.
Luca can write!! I never thought I would like Sass hatch books, but this was so fun, so exciting...but most important, it was so well written. Luca knows how to ebb and Flo a story. And you just know every character well. Hard to do with so many. Thank you for giving me this gift.
I found this novel to be quite scary and certainly frightful. The whole situation was overwhelming to know what these people were seeing and dealt with. I pictured everything in my head when I was reading and it was so real to me. I really enjoyed the book and will keep on reading!
So it seems to me that people just need to leave the poor things along. Lots of action but didn't really care for all the killing. But than again they did start the fight.
After Aluk killed the Elder at the end of book 2. He sent for the surrounding clans to send warriors to form an Army to attack the humans . Duluth was having their yearly Sasquatch festival. Boy do they have a surprise coming.
