Pick up the latest issue of Savage Realms Monthly and fill up on stalwart heroes doing battle with the forces of evil in this epic collection of short sword and sorcery fiction. This month's crop of stories starts off with a story by the talented Jason M Waltz of Rogue Blades and his cursed hero who uses shadows as a weapon, and it ends with a twisting psychedelic journey into the underworld by new comer Sersa Victory.

Fans of Robert E. Howard, Lin Carter, Clark Ashton Smith, and Karl Edward Wagner will love this new fantasy fiction adventure magazine.

I edited and published numerous heroic titles under Rogue Blades as both RBE, a micro publisher of heroic adventure fiction, and RBF, a nonprofit literary publisher of explorations of the heroic. If you enjoy hard-hitting, fast-paced tales of ringing steel and dark magics found in the battles of lore and myth, updated and written for the modern reader, you should check them out.

Personally, I also write heroic tales. Jason M (with and without that pesky period) are one and the same. Jason M Waltz enjoys sharing tales of heroes who are willing to step into the gap...sometimes to fill it, sometimes to make it wider.

Savage Realms Monthly October 2023 Issue 23
Edited by William Miller
Narrated by Moose Matson
Audible

The stories contained in this latest Audible release include Hanging by a Thread by Jason M Waltz. Many of you know him as the main rogue at Rogue Blades Entertainment. Revenge of the Spider God by Jeff Shelnutt. Featuring the hilariously dysfunctional duo Hanaa and Ulfgar! And the final story is Swallowing the Temple of Tar by Sersa Victory.

Having already read these stories in the issue when it came out, it was no surprise to me the contents of the audiobook. However, Moose Matson’s vocal talents lets fans immerse themselves in the Savage Realms fully. Experiencing the stories in a whole new way. Moreover, Matson’s exuberance shines fully while performing Shelnutt’s Hanaa and Ulfgar stories. The jubilant glee in his voice is invigorating and quite enjoyable.
