Amelia

All my life they’ve tried to beat me down because I am not like them. I’ve had to work ten times harder, had to be ten times better, trying to gain their approval but they’ll never accept me. They think I’m worthless and will stop at nothing to try to make me feel the same, so today I’m leaving.

Despite their Alpha being my mate, despite the physical pain I’ll feel, I’m leaving. All I need is my brother, Simon. The only one that matters.

Adrian

All my life I hungered for the love my parents had before they died too early. Instead, I’ve been ruling over my pack since I was seven. I’ve done a good job, we are the strongest and wealthiest pack on the North American continent.

But still… I’ve often wondered… will I die alone?

Everything changes when a feeling grows in me one super moon. Despite my pack thinking I’ve finally lost it, I chase it.

And there, in the woods, I find her. My mate, my Luna, but why is she with the Beta from Crescent Moon? Why does she reject me and only trust him?

This book was incredible. From the magical universe, the shifters ways of living/being, to the characters.

Simon and Amelia's siblings' relationship is beautiful. They both are truly well-written characters, full of strength, weaknesses but also humor and humanity.

Adrian is a bit more complex but as interesting and well-written as them. I loved the strong person he is, both as an Alpha and as a mate for Amelia.

Those characters (and I'm not naming them all) made me laugh and cry with them.

The plot is well thought as well, full of twists that will keep you on your toes !

So excited to have been a part of this ARC team! I love a good fantasy read. If you enjoy shifter novels with found family, this is for you. THAT CLIFFHANGER, though! Argh! I’m on the edge of my seat wanting to know exactly what happened. Adrian is a great who-hurt-you-I-will-burn-the-world-down-for-you book boyfriend. Also, give me more Simon content! I can’t wait to read the next book.

ARC review

Wow this book had me devouring! Adrian had me falling in love. Ami was a spitfire she had me cracking up left and right.
It was so well written, getting to see the growth from Amelia as she worked through her trauma was amazing. Her fated mate Adrian was everything she needed to break free.

This was almost a 5 star for me but the pet name Sweetie was just hard for me😅 (my aunt called her husband that & every time I read it the imagine of those two flashed in my head & it was icky🥴) otherwise the story line was full of twists and turns. The bond between Ami & Simon as siblings was beautiful. The ending I didn’t see coming the most, I hope there’s a second book in the works bc I will be anxiously awaiting to read it 🫣

⭐ 3.5 Stars — I Wasn’t Prepared to Be Impressed, But Here We Are

I wasn’t even in a reading mood — sick, exhausted, swamped with work. But from the first paragraph, this book grabbed me… and didn’t let go until the very last page.

I received an ARC of Goddess’s Grace by Margareta Strööm, and let me tell you — for a debut? She came out swinging. I went in with low expectations and got hit with a fiery, emotional, and deeply layered story about trauma, healing, and a heroine I couldn’t help but root for.

Amelia is human in a wolf pack. Spunky, scarred, and stubborn as hell — her character was forged by abuse and betrayal. Watching her rediscover her power in Adrian’s pack? Beautiful. Painful. Powerful. And Adrian? Whew. That man is feral in the most loyal, protective, ride-or-die way. His whole vibe? “Look at my mate wrong and I’ll rip your throat out.” I loved him.

Also, the sibling bond between Amelia and Simon? Gutted me. It added real emotional weight and grounded the story in something more than just romance. The emotional connections throughout? Chef’s kiss.

Let’s talk heat. On the steam scale, I’d give it a 3 out of 5 — so yes, there’s some sizzle. It’s not full-on explicit every minute, but the vibes are strong. The emotional chemistry? Off the charts. The bond, the devotion, the slow burn intensity? You’ll feel all of it.

❗ One gripe: the cliffhanger. I wasn’t warned. If I’d known this wasn’t a standalone, I might have waited. The ending felt abrupt — no real HEA (yet) — and I need closure. That definitely knocked my rating down.

🖤 Final thoughts: This is a strong, emotionally rich debut with character growth and a love story that simmers even without constant explicit scenes. If you don’t mind cliffhangers, read it now. If you do, wait for book two. Either way — I’m impressed.

I absolutely devoured this book. Couldn't put it down. The main characters are really well written making it easy to love them
Simon her hero, her brother her life line.
Adrian the grumpy sunshine shifter who is the best kind of obsessed and will do anything to protect Ami.
Ami the human not to be judged to quickly. I absolutely loved her character and I loved how she finally accepts herself!

That ending 😲😲😲😲😲😲
I got goosebumps and now I'm left wanting more.
I can't wait to see what Margareta strööm cooks up next!

Highly recommend as your next read

I was impressed with this book, and the cliffhanger definitely caught me by suprise. Some spelling issues here and there, but one thing I'm not a fan of is the back and fourth in their pasts to present.

She is very stubborn but from what she has lived through I can see why she is. Then there is Adrian just so all in and showing his love and patience for her, I swooned. Finally her brother giving up everything for her just warmed my heart.

Now to sit and wait for book 2.

A Gripping Shifter Romance That Keeps You Hooked Until the Last Page

Goddess's Grace by Margareta Strööm is an absolute must-read for fans of slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers shifter romances. From the very first page, I was captivated by the world Strööm has crafted—a blend of tension, passion, and unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Amelia's journey is both heartbreaking and inspiring. Raised by a pack that tormented her for being human, she finds solace only in her unbreakable bond with her brother, Simon. Their relationship is beautifully portrayed, filled with love and loyalty. Enter Adrian, her fated mate, and the story takes a turn into a slow-burn romance that sizzles with chemistry and emotional depth.

The plot is masterfully paced, with Strööm weaving in moments of tension and tenderness that make the eventual romance all the more rewarding. The cliffhanger ending left me eagerly awaiting the next installment, and I can't recommend this book enough to anyone who enjoys a well-written, emotionally charged shifter romance.

My first ever shifter romance and... Adrian and Simon did not come to play 🔥

And Ami! I just love that fierce girl! ⚔️

This story unravelled with such ease, pulling me deeper with every page.

A 2/5 🌶 level. The author gave just enough depth and bite for me to keep wanting more.

That “sweetie” though... 😅 If I had a say, I’d vote for “little temptress” or “goddess” instead (don’t hate me, author 🥹). But that’s just me being a picky little thing.

Would’ve been an easy 4.5-5 ☆ read if not for that, but still, solid 4 ☆ because your girl was not ready for that ending!!! Oh my God! 🥺

I absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves shifters, passion, and a storyline that keeps you turning the pages 💕

Thank you to the author for trusting me with this early read, can’t wait to see what magic you craft next 🖤

This is not the usual genre I read. I usually read PITCH BLACK ROMANCE or horror erotica but I figured I needed a break because I was getting way too dark or numb to it.
This book, it's romantic, fluffy, and the spice was so hot. Except for how the FMC has been treated by most of her pack, there wasn't much darkness, but the little darkness it had was delicious.

I loved the MMC, the way he talked to her, the way they fought at first. SHE SHOOTS HIM... LMAO.

I love that he's the alpha but also her mate so he gets to experience the pain she puts herself through to not be subservient to him. LOVED IT...
I have to say that this MMC influenced the MMC I was writing. Usually I write MMC's that are the bad guy and this book influenced me to write one that's not. So he really did have an impression on me. And the spice, again, it had me soooooo hot. haha I can't wait to read the next one.

Simon is beyond boiling hot. I love an MMC who's not bothered by the little stuff and then blows up.

Amelia's entire life has been spent being beaten down, all because she's not like them. Working ten times harder just to be ten times better all to try and gain their approval. But, Amelia knows that no matter what she does or says, she knows that she's never going to gain their approval. She knows that they think that she's worthless and they are going to do whatever it takes to make sure she feels that way. But, Amelia is done, she's decided that today is the day that she's going to leave.

Amelia knows that leaving is going to cause her immense pain as their Alpha is her mate. But, all she needs is her brother, Simon. For Amelia, he's the only one that matters.

All Adrian has ever wanted in his life is the kind of love that his parents had before they died way too soon. Instead, ever since he was seven, he's had to rule over his pack. And Adrian thinks that he's done a good job, they are currently the strongest, wealthiest pack in North America.

But, Adrian can't help but wonder if he's going to die alone?

Then one super moon, suddenly everything changes when Adrian suddenly has a feeling start growing in him. And even though the rest of his pack thinks that he has finally lost his mind, Adrian can't help but chase after the feeling.

And finally, there in the woods, Adrian finally finds her. His mate, his Luna. But, he can't understand why she's with the Beta from the Crescent Moon pack.

Why did she reject him? And Why does she only trust that Beta?

Goddess's Grace is the 1st book in The Yggdrasil Saga by Margaeta Stoom. This is Margaeta's debut book and I have to say that she didn't hold anything back and she came out of the gate swinging. I went into this book not expecting anything much. I tend to hold back expectations when it comes to an author's debut book. But, I was pleasantly surprised with this fiery, emotional book that is so deeply layered about trauma, healing, and an FMC that you can't help but fall in love with.

In this book we get to meet Amelia, a human who we learn is living in a wolf pack. She's spunky, scarred, stronger than she realizes, intelligent, and she's stubborn as anything – we find that her character has been forged by not only abuse but also betrayal. In Adrian's pack, we start to see her rediscover her power. And in that, it's not only powerful but just so beautiful.

Adrian? Wow! That is a totally feral man but it's in the most loyal, protective, obsessive, ride-or-die kind of way. He has this vibe that says if you look at my mate the wrong way and I'm going to ensure that you are unalived. Honestly, you can't help but love him.

The sibling bond between Amelia and Simon was one that absolutely gutted me and ripped my heart out. This sibling bond added such a real, emotional weight that grounded the story and balanced the story. It gave more to the story than just romance and gave such an emotional connection through the story and for me, this was a complete chef's kiss.

I liked the spice that we got in this story. I found that it helped the story move forward without being overwhelming. You can feel the chemistry between Amelia and Adrian and it's electric. They have this beautiful bond with devotion going both ways and a lovely slow burn and some intensity that leaves you wanting more. And you feel each and every emotion that Adrian and Amelia feel.

I loved this book and found it to be just an incredible read. The universe that Margaeta has created is just so magical. We learn so much about the shifter way of life and a lot about their beings. All the characters are just well crafted and impossible not to love. They were well-developed and had incredible arcs. The plot was well thought out and well defined and included lots of twists and turns that are going to keep you on your toes and keep you thinking.

I am going to warn you that this book does end on a kind of an abrupt ending with a cliffhanger. Now I am just waiting for the next book so I can find out what happens next.

This is a great book and an amazing read. I have to recommend this book and this debut author. I can't wait for the next book in this Saga and I can't wait to see what Margaeta Stroom writes next after this Saga. I will be watching this author closely.

I'm putting down spoilers just in case but I honestly don't think I spoiled anything that's not plot based-

I really enjoyed reading this book. I found myself wanting to finish what I was doing quickly so I could get back to reading and finding out what was going to happen next.

It has a very strong and interesting plot in a shifter world like no other I'veread about before, which I really enjoy because it's made up- so why not go wild!!! We are introduced into a world where someone who was supposed to shift into a wolf was somehow skipped and she stayed human which made her be hated by everyone that was supposed to love her. However, she's one of the smartest people alive and prooves her vital part in the shifter world.

I was engaged from the beginning by her running away from an abusive environment and knowing that her brother had her back regardless of how strong and respected he was in that same environment.

Once she meets Adrian, I immediately fell in love with his protective character and the way he only brought her pleasure. Speaking of pleasure- not sure how spicy the author wanted this book to be but I would've liked more. This was about three spicy chilis worth 🌶 🌶🌶.

I recommend this book for an entertaining shifter story but be warned, it's not a HEA...yet. I don't know if the author plans on making it a HEA but I certainly hope so. I, personally, would've actually enjoyed reading a few more chapters of this book and seeing the HEA unfold before I get engaged in another character's relationship. But what do I know??? maybe the author has an amazing plan that will bring this all together like some books have done in the past.

I applaud the author, especially for being a debut story. You can see the thought, work, and effort that went into bring this captivating story to life.

This book was amazing. Let’s just get that out of the way. And that cliffhanger? Brutal—but we’ll come back to that.

Our FMC, Amelia, is a force. She’s strong, brilliant, and fiercely loyal. She’s survived the kind of abuse no one should ever have to endure, but instead of breaking, she emerged stronger. I absolutely loved her. Her resilience and strength made her such a compelling character.

Then there’s Adrian, and wow. That man is a walking, growling green flag. Possessive in the best way, protective to his core, and the classic “touch her and die” type. He falls first, falls hard, and never gives up on Amelia, even when she’s hesitant to trust. He’s loyal, emotionally scarred, and absolutely unforgettable. Adrian is everything I want in an MMC.

And I have to mention Simon, Amelia’s brother. He’s the second-strongest wolf in their world (after Adrian), and honestly such an incredible character. He’s been by Amelia’s side through everything, and their bond is so heartwarming and powerful. I loved seeing a strong sibling dynamic that added even more depth to the story.

The chemistry between the leads? Off the charts. The banter, the tension, the slow burn, it was all so good. I devoured every interaction between them.

The pacing of the book is quick and immersive, and the world-building is rich without being overwhelming. Strööm knows how to pull you in and keep you hooked.

Now, back to that ending. No spoilers, but let me just say, it was heart-stopping. I genuinely did not see it coming, and it left me completely speechless. I’m already counting down the days until the next book drops, and believe me, I’ll be reading every single one in this series.

Thank you, Margareta, for this incredible ARC!

Amazing New Shifter Romance!!!

"Goddess's Grace" by Margareta Strööm is a fantastic new dark shifter romance. Amelia, our leading lady, is a fierce, funny, and brilliant human trapped and abused in a world of dominating wolves. Ami is a petty queen who refuses to make things easy for Adrian and deliciously fights the pull of their mate bond. Adrian, our brooding Alpha male, is only afraid of one thing: losing Amelia. I loved every time she insulted someone by calling them a dog breed, she also hilariously meets her mate when she shoots him! I just finished the book last night, and OMG, what a trip. I loved it, and the cliffhanger destroyed me. I cannot wait for the second book, and every second without answers is torture! I am so conflicted because my best friend Simon deserves his own book, but I'm not done with my loves, Ami & Adrian. (Also, I'm a why-choose gal, so I could be persuaded to accept additional boys *wink* and a grovel. Strööm did a great job of world-building, and I have so many questions. Also, I am interested in all of the top dogs in the blood moon pack getting their own dark romances. I can't wait for more Yddrasil Saga books—I hope there are at least 10!
“Goddess’s Grace” reminded me of YA books from the early 2000s, grown up and made spicy! Add this to the shelf in my heart that holds “Nightshade" by Andrea Cremer, “The Immortals” by Tamora Pierce, "Bloodlines" by Richelle Mead, “Twilight” by Stephanie Meyer, and “The Mortal Instruments” by Cassandra Clare.

Goddess’s Grace is a gripping entry in the world of shifter romance, and Margareta Strööm delivers a compelling tale that hooks readers from the very first page. Perfect for fans of slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers stories, this novel masterfully balances emotional depth, tension, and romantic chemistry in a richly imagined paranormal world.

At the heart of the story is Amelia, a human raised by a cruel pack that never let her forget her differences. Her relationship with her brother Simon is a poignant counterbalance—filled with unconditional love, loyalty, and resilience. When Amelia discovers that her fated mate is Adrian, the plot thickens into a deliciously slow-burning romance that pulses with intensity and layered emotions.

Strööm’s storytelling is both nuanced and addictive. Her pacing is spot-on, gradually unfolding the emotional and romantic arcs in a way that keeps you invested. Every twist feels earned, every tender moment hits the heart, and the chemistry between the leads simmers with real tension. The novel’s climactic cliffhanger is guaranteed to leave readers hungry for the next installment.

In short, Goddess’s Grace is a must-read for lovers of emotionally rich shifter romances. With a strong heroine, a well-drawn romantic lead, and an emotional core that resonates, it’s a book that lingers long after the final page.

I was lucky enough to read an ARC copy of this book and I devoured completely. The only reason I'm not giving this book 5 stars is only due to the length of it. I wanted more. There are definitely some darker notes to this story but not a lot of it happens on page, only mentions.

I loved the various relationships between the siblings. Not just Simon and Amelia, but also Adrian and his siblings too.

I'm trying very hard not to do any spoilers on this book, because I want you to have this ride fresh, curious reader. But, I will say this much. I think ... or rather, I hope, that the gut punch we felt isn't the end. If you pay attention to the things said by some characters in the book there are some key items mentioned about our main characters.

I'm looking forward to reading more of this series once it happens - ARC reading or not. I plan to watch for them and read them.

Goddess Grace ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Margareta Stroom
Adrian and Amelia
Amelia being the sister of Simon the second in the Cresent moon pack as well as a human, she has been treated awfully the alphas son for being too weak to be his mate because she was human. She runs away with Simon and just so happens to run into Adrian, the alpha from the blood moon pack. When he says the word mate she begins to panic and wants to run away. Will Amelia finally be free from abuse and be able to live life she wants or we meeting Adrian be a repeat of the cycle of abuse she was trying to run away from? This book does have some trigger warnings that you may want to make sure you’re comfortable with. Amelia is a very strong, independent woman who is looking to just live her life and be free and to do what she loves the most.

I don't want to give away spoilers so I'm writing a very short review. (You can see how I feel about this book through my rating 🤭)
To sum it up, I really enjoyed Goddess's Grace and the fact that this is Margareta's debut! She is one bright author y'all. ✨

Here are a few things that made me love the book:
1. The sibling bond between Amelia and Simon. This was one of a kind.
2. Amelia's strength, intelligence and mindset.
3. Adrian's leadership and loyalty. I can see how him and Amelia are perfect for each other.
4. Simon. I don't have to explain it.
5. Plot. This didn't read as usual werewolf shifter romances. Goddess's Grace had good spice mixed with an amazing plot.

Highly recommend Goddess's Grace to people who want a balance of a good storyline and spice, with character development AND amazing writing.

Review: Goddess’s Grace by Margareta Strööm
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This week, I had the absolute PLEASURE of receiving an ARC for this novel: Goddess’s Grace by the lovely author Margareta Strööm!
Let me tell you, this one was a wild ride! It was everything you could want in a paranormal shifter romance novel, and I binged it in only two days 😅 The angst, and the YEARNING was just 🤌🏻 and seeing our FMC’s growth after her traumatic past made me tear up more than once. And that ENDING 👀

For me, this was an easy 5 star read and I’m looking forward to seeing what else this author comes up with!

🖤 Fated mates
🖤 POC FMC
🖤 Possessive/OTT MMC
🖤 Wolf shifters
🖤 Slow burn

And as always, check your trigger warnings, lovelies! Happy reading!

-Dual POV
-shifters (majority of the characters/ human FMC
-slow burn & enemies to lovers for FMC
-insta love for MMC
-Touch her and die
-Burn the world down for her vibes
-“who did this to you”
-Obsessed MMC

I read this as an ARC, but all opinions are my own honest opinions.
Love a good shifter story!! Really enjoyed the character development for both Amelia and Adrian, and the dual POV seriously added to the development. Reading about Amelia’s trauma was incredibly sad, and it made me happy when Adrian worshiped everything that she hated about herself. Loved this book, the only thing that made it a 4 star instead of 5 was that plot twist at the end of the book😭 I have no idea if it’s meant to be a cliffhanger or if that’s just how it ends.

It's such a emotional rollercoaster ride, that had twists and turns, that had me on the edge of my seat. I devoured every bit of it. Obsessed from start to finish. Their story is beautiful but also heartbreaking and resonates with you. Truly inspiring..

It's filled with trauma, healing, love, spunky FMC, spice, insta love , obsessed MMC, tension, passion and so much more. The characters are great and the development is super fantastic.

It definitely had me on the edge of my seat. And that cliffhanger damn. Highly recommend.

Ahhhh so sorry for the freaking delay with this but this beautiful book is long overdue for a review so without further ado!
This is a LIGHTER SHIFTER ROMANCE
Amelia and Simon are as close as siblings could be for one being born without a wolf and one being incredibly strong.
Follow their journey as they escape one pack to be caught by another where Ami meets her MATE 😍
This is chaos, sweet fluff and fun with a side of darkish themes!
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Darkness: 🖤
Spicy: 🌶️🌶️
This book was a joy to read and reread and I am so proud to have read an ORIGINAL shifter romance and not a duplicate copy cat one❤️

Goddess’s Grace is a shifter romance that doesn’t play by the rules and that’s exactly what makes it unforgettable. This story blends raw emotion and primal magic. The love story with a wolf shifter is intense, beautifully written, and devastating to be honest. This isn’t a tale of happily-ever-after it’s a saga of sacrifice, vengeance, and the kind of love that leaves scars. The quote that opens the book “I will lay your enemies by your feet” sets the tone for a story that’s as bold as it is heartbreaking. If you love fantasy romance with teeth, mythic depth, and emotional stakes that actually hurt, this one’s for you.

A great werewolf romance with fated mates, a damaged but strong and feisty FMC, a possessive alpha, romance and steam. This story has it all.

Goddess Grace is a well written story with in depth characters.

I was very touched by the sibling relationship between Simon and Ami.

The story is heartfelt and suckes you in from the first page.

The fated mate trope is great and the dynamic between Ami and Adrian makes it feel believable and works great in the book.

Hope for more books about Ami and Adrian, and of course Simon.

It's been a while since I read a shifter romance and let me tell you, this was a good one! I love the underrated strength that Amelia has and how she grows her very tight circle throughout the story as she works through her trauma. And I love how Adrian simultaneously dotes on her and pushes her to be the best of herself. Highly recommend if you love slow-burn, touch her and ☠️, SPICY shifter romance.

A solid debut novel that kept me engaged throughout. My main critique is the alpha wolf's pet name "Sweetie" feeling out of character for Adrian being an alpha male.

The cliffhanger ending leaves questions about whether Book 2 continues Adrian and Amelia's story or shifts to Simon. Despite this uncertainty, I'm eager for the sequel. Recommended for paranormal shifter romance fans. 3.5 - 4 stars.

Can’t express how much I loved this book but cried when it ended! It has a great plot and some amazing steamy moments! Look forward to reading more by the Talented author!

I enjoyed this book for the most part, there were a few things that annoyed me a bit but I also understand why they were the way they were. Amelias rude behaviour in the new pack was a bit much at times but she did go through so much with her old pack. I absolutely loved her brother and I'm hoping the next book is about him which I can't wait for. That cliffhanger, ughhh ! haha so good, definitely a way to make sure the reader comes back again
