This is a book that I wish I had not spent money on. I had a particularly intense genetics course in my bachelor's program, which laid a good foundation for genetics in medical school, but which I didn't realize until much later (our genetics course was in the first block of medical school, and I bought several books in a panic-induced book spree). Having said that, I think the book itself is good, it just wasn't what I needed. It gives a focused explanation of genetic concepts as they relate to medicine. I think it would be great book for medical students with little or no experience in genetics who want to get a solid basic science knowledge base. Others who either have more experience in genetics or who don't mind not knowing the details would probably be fine with other, less in-depth resources.

Very educational book that taught my lots of new information. Very good book for people wanting to learn the subject. I know a few work friends that have benefited from the information provided within its pages. The sort of book that can help a persons career and skill set. Good book.

Very much a book on genetics for (semi-)beginners, nice explanations but it repeated itself a lot. Sometimes it felt like I was drowning in clinical examples without it actually helping me understand what they were trying to say. The questions at the end of each chapter are really nice though. (Had to get through this in 1,5 day which was just lovely)

I read this as part of a genetics class many years ago. I remember it doing a good job of explaining some very difficult topics. However that may also have been the teacher's excellent discussions. It's too long ago to differentiate the two

No es el libro que por elección quisiera leer, pero es de la licenciatura y lo acabé :).
Me gusta que va desde lo más sencillo (por si no hay noción de mucho) y poco a poco se va complicando, también que tiene explicados casos clínicos. Me motiva a seguir por esta rama de la genética 🧬 y poder especializarme en algo que tenga que ver con genética en el diagnóstico prenatal… o maybe cambie de opinión después, Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ jaja
