⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE BIG ASS STARS
He might be her dad’s best friend, but this man is down so fucking bad for her that he’d risk everything just to keep her.
I fear I’ve fallen completely in love with this book. From a plot perspective, I was instantly hooked by the stalker/FMC-in-danger vibe, it brought out a side of Stefano (our MMC) that I love. I mean, the title is Fierce Protector, and that’s exactly what this man is. He protects this woman with his entire being.
And the best part? She’s no damsel. She’s fiercely independent and fully capable of taking care of herself she grew up in the mafia life, after all, but Stefano still does everything he can to keep her safe while honoring that independence. She’s not just any woman she’s a surgeon, a doctor, and not just at the hospital… she the mafias go to girl. A BADDIE 🩺🔥

She is such a force. Confident, self-assured, and completely at ease in the mafia world she was raised in. She knows her worth and never backs down. Stefano doesn’t try to dim her light he makes her shine even brighter. Their dynamic is perfection. I was so in love with them as a couple. Say what you want, CALL ME CORNY but their love was written beautifully and had me so emotional (like I cried real life tears) UGH AND THE YEARNING?!? They were both so infatuated with each other. I was reading their inner monologues with actual hearts in my eyes 😍
They get each other. They love each other unapologetically. They’d do anything for one another. They’re the definition of ride or die one of my favorite couples of all time, no question. AND THE CHEMISTRY!! Omg I was foaming at the mouth every time they did ANYTHING. The spice was 🥵 af. Nothing better than when a man takes control of a dominant woman.
And when I say this man takes care of her? I mean he is a walking, talking, living fantasy. If I could manifest a man for myself, it would be him. He doesn’t just protect her physically he takes the emotional load off too. He does her hair. He cooks for her. He handles the little things that might not seem like much but mean everything. And then he turns around and does the big things too. It’s not a want, it’s a need.
The writing was so smooth and natural. I literally could not put it down and when I did, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I had a feeling I was going to love this one going in (age gap, bad-ass FMC, protective dominant MMC, mafia storyline, cute pet name, fake dating, forced proximity, banter, angst it checks ALL the boxes) But I didn’t know just how much I would love it.
This story was so solid 335 pages packed with everything I love. The plot was fully fleshed out, never rushed. The relationship was beautifully developed. The pacing was perfect. I have zero notes and nothing but praise for this book.
Do yourself a favor make sure this is on your TBR. You’re going to want to experience a love like Stefano and Katerina’s.

This book was fast and dirty, like a quickie in a back alley behind a nightclub you definitely shouldn’t be at, but… here we are. Was it a literary masterpiece? Nah. But did I still have a good time? Absolutely.
The plot was predictable as sin I saw the twists coming like a drunk uncle at Christmas but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the ride. Sometimes you want a story that’s a little familiar, a little dramatic, and a lot hot. And that’s exactly what this was.
The real star? The chemistry between Stefano and Katerina. Off-the-charts. Sparks-flying. Pants-optional. They had me side-eyeing my Kindle like it owed me a drink and a cigarette.
If you’re in the mood for a quick, spicy read that doesn’t require a deep emotional commitment, Fierce Protector delivers. It’s the book equivalent of a one-night stand with a man who calls you “kitten” and means it in a good way.

the tension between Katerina and Stefano in the duet before this was PALPABLE and finally getting their story was everything i needed and more.
i was gripping the edge of my seat the entire time they fought their connection, and when they finally decided to do something about it 😮💨😮💨😮💨 I WAS ON MY KNEES. Stefano Tiero could tell me to lick the bottom of his shoe and I would comply 🙂↕️✋🏼

the way that i inhaled this book has to be studied. this was so FUCKING GOOD. shoutout to my bestie britt who is constantly adding more books to my TBR <3
this follows Katerina and Stefano. Katerina is basically the mob doctor. she takes care of any casualties that they have while also getting to live her own life and work at her hospital. those were the stipulations of her having her own life. stefano is the consigliere to Don Aurora. Katerina has been in love with him for years and did i mention that he is her dad's bestfriend. yeah he is also 14 years older than her which we love.
katerina currently has a stalker and she thinks its one of the nurses that she went on a date with. stefano is made aware of the situation and obviously gets very protective of her. protective of her enough that they start dating and flaunting it in front of her coworkers to see if the stalker stops and takes the hint. we all know what happens when there is a "fake" relationship, real feelings start to come out.
i mean to say that i am obsessed with this series is an understatement, and this one took the cake. she is a little tamer than the first two but filthy which we love. we also love a daddy kink. i mean this man is possessive of her, wants to protect her, dominant, what more can you ask for. i mean he literally installed her pole that she works out with in his home gym. if that is not love than i don't know what is.

Laura, you unhinged genius. Fierce Protector is not your garden variety mafia romance, it’s a whole fever dream wrapped in gunmetal grey suits and sexual tension so thick you could cut it with a scalpel (which Katerina probably has tucked into her boots, let’s be honest).
We’ve got Katerina; sharp tongued, spine of steel, don’t touch me unless you’re Stefano bad bitch energy. And Stefano; the kind of broody, overprotective mafioso who you know is two seconds away from carving your name into his chest. The man makes “possessive” look like a love language. Their dynamic? Absolutely feral. Banter? Unhinged. Tension? Unholy.
Also, shoutout to Laura for throwing every possible chaotic plot device into the mix like she’s hosting a mafia-themed dinner party with extra spice: stalkers, turf wars, forbidden yearning, emotional trauma, and enough sexual tension to knock a nun off her feet. And the dialogue? Top tier. Quippy, sharp, and often hilarious in that “oh no, I’m laughing while someone’s bleeding out” kind of way.
Now, if you’re someone who likes their heroes squeaky clean and morally upright…this ain’t it. Stefano operates in the grey, leans into the black, and you will love him for it. Or you’ll want to throw him into the sea. Possibly both.
Tiny caveat: it’s technically a standalone, yes, but if you haven’t read the earlier books in the series, prepare to get lovingly smacked in the face with spoilers and emotional backstory you should care about, even if you don’t understand it right away.
Bottom line: Fierce Protector is a wickedly addictive cocktail of danger, desire, and delightful dysfunction. It’s dark, it’s hot, it’s got that morally-questionable-but-somehow-still-endearing vibe, and it’ll absolutely ruin you in the best way. Welcome to the Bianchi madness. A well written plot that centres around Katerina, a surgeon who also works for her family as a mob doctor. Stefano is older than Katerina and is extremely protective of her, and I loved this. This book had moments when it turned dark, but I enjoyed these moments as it allowed characters to stand up and show how much they cared for each other.
Laura delivered an outstanding book that I enjoyed.

I’ve been obsessed with Laura’s books since Broken Princess, and it’s safe to say there’s no going back. She knows exactly how to write about strong, amazing women and the kind of men who are completely obsessed with them—and honestly, I’m here for it.
If you read the first Bianchi Chronicles duet, you know there was something going on between the doctor and the consigliere. And wow, this book delivers. That tension finally explodes, and what starts as a fake relationship to scare off a stalker turns into a swoony, spicy, super emotional love story.
Stefano? Total daddy vibes. Protective, commanding, low-key obsessed—chef’s kiss.
I loved every second of it and now I’m counting down the days until the next one. Laura, just keep them coming.

I was lucky enough to be picked as an ARC reader! I have read the other books in this "series," and Laura did it again! Such a good read! It has Spice 🔥🔥🔥 plus a good storyline! Laura is easily becoming one of my favorite authors, as she just has the right words to give you all the feels while reading!!

Ive been waiting (not so patiently) on Stefano and Doc Em’s story and it did not disappoint.
Im loving the FMC’s in Lauras books as she writes them so well! And i loved how this interconnected with the first 2 books, loved the cameos from Aurora and the guys. Nico and Benny in the hospital 🔥
Stefano was everything i hoped he would be. Strong, dominant and hot AF. Doc Em was a bad ass woman, took no prisoners. The two of them were perfect for each other. The gym/mirror scene … yes please 🙏🏽
Now the twist… part of me saw it coming but i had no idea what was going to happen when it did! If i was capable of reading a book whilst covering my eyes at what was happening i would have. Repeatedly saying No No No whilst reading 🫣🫣🫣🫣

I had read the first two books in this series and LOVED them. To say I was foaming at the mouth to read this one is an understatement, and it didn't disappoint. This one wasn't as dark as the earlier books, but I feel like their storyline didn't need to be on that level. I like that the time line overlapped the first books, but you got either a different scene or vantage point. You dont feel like you are re-reading the other books. Overall, I loved connecting deeper with these characters and I'm so excited for the next book.

Fire!!!!!! This book was so good, I wonder what it feels like for an author to spend months writing a book to have it devoured in 2 hours it’s so damn good you can’t stop 🤣
I am not a big ‘re-reader’ of books, even a series or author I love, once I’ve been in the moment with a book for the first time I don’t normally get that feel for my all time favourite books a second time. There are exceptions to the rules and Laura Bennett is one of them.
I loved the Broken and Brutal duet. I did re-read and this book is as top tier as those.
It is ‘interconnected’ loosely with the first two books, in that the timelines have some cross over but with different outcomes and perspectives of our mains characters the FMC Katerina and MMC Stefano. There are NO repeat scenes, repeated dialogues, this is not a copy and paste it’s just some areas of drama are at the same time and have some cross over mentions only! So you could read this as a stand-alone, however: with how good the books are I’d recommend reading Aurora’s story.
It is also where we get a feel for the heat and spice of Katerina and Stefano.
Katerina is a mafia daughter, top surgeon with a no nonsense attitude, she’s not only good at what she does, she’s great, but between the hospital shifts and her helping out the family (mafia) she’s bordering on two lives trying to keep one from the other but not really feeling apart of either.
It takes a lot to rile her up, so when she starts getting notes and messages, she thinks it’s a colleague who couldn’t take no to a second date for an answer….. she isn’t taking it too seriously until Stefano hears about it.

This book was edge of your seat, heart racing, swooning and ‘daddy’ giving in all the absolute best, salt & pepper hunky MMC ways. I love an FMC with fire and sass, an MMC who’s walking death and fear but both only soften for each other.
This book felt like a journey of fate for the two, that sometimes you can’t help who you fall in love with, even when it’s your dad’s best friend.
Loved the book. Can’t wait for more from this family. I finished the book in 2 hours it was that good.

I am not a big ‘re-reader’ of books, even a series or author I love, once I’ve been in the moment with a book for the first time I don’t normally get that feel for my all time favourite books a second time. There are exceptions to the rules and Laura Bennett is one of them.
I loved the Broken and Brutal duet. I did re-read and this book is as top tier as those.
It is ‘interconnected’ loosely with the first two books, in that the timelines have some cross over but with different outcomes and perspectives of our mains characters the FMC Katerina and MMC Stefano. There are NO repeat scenes, repeated dialogues, this is not a copy and paste it’s just some areas of drama are at the same time and have some cross over mentions only! So you could read this as a stand-alone, however: with how good the books are I’d recommend reading Aurora’s story.
It is also where we get a feel for the heat and spice of Katerina and Stefano.
Katerina is a mafia daughter, top surgeon with a no nonsense attitude, she’s not only good at what she does, she’s great, but between the hospital shifts and her helping out the family (mafia) she’s bordering on two lives trying to keep one from the other but not really feeling apart of either.
It takes a lot to rile her up, so when she starts getting notes and messages, she thinks it’s a colleague who couldn’t take no to a second date for an answer….. she isn’t taking it too seriously until Stefano hears about it.

🇬🇧 After reading the first two books, it’s safe to say I couldn’t wait to learn more about Stefano and Dr. Em… and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how their story turned out!
Laura Bennett proves once again that you don’t need an over-the-top plot to deliver a book full of delicious chemistry and a story that hooks you from start to finish. Even though the timelines overlap, it never felt boring or repetitive — quite the opposite! It was amazing to see these two take center stage in each other’s lives and on these pages.
The dialogues? Absolutely everything!💥 Both Dr. Em and Stefano are sassy and always have the perfect comeback, and the smut… oh my God, the smut! So delicious and so natural, never forced!
The age gap — not usually my favorite trope — was executed so well that I have to admit… I might have unlocked a little daddy kink thanks to Stefano! The man KNOWS how to talk! 🫠🫣

Katerina and Stefano are 14 years apart in age but that didn't stop her from developing a crush (for lack of a better term) on him.
As doc on call for the family and a surgeon at the local family Katerina has a reputation of being a cold hearted b*itch, she independent and take charge, she doesn't put up with any BS, but she's also seen loss and been in situations that even the hardest of people would crumble.
Stefano just wants to take care of her, be her safe space and keep her safe so when Nico (the little tattletale) tells him that she has a stalker, well that just seals the deal and Stefano is all up in Katerina business , telling her want to do, Whether she likes it or not (she loves it 😂).
I loved Katerinas independent personality and the way Stefano didn't try stifle it but instead became a safe space for her to just be soft 😭
Stefano and Katerina were so fun to read, I had a visible smile on my face at least 12 times, they're dynamic was fun and natural. The story progressed rather quickly but didn't feel forced or thin and the banter between the two of them was beautiful.
Yes their relationship was quick but it felt foregone and that made it believable, the two of the were definitely a case of IYKYK and Im so glad I got to read their story.
If you've not read Broken Princess and Brutal Queen (5⭐ duology btw) prior to Fierce Protector, I definitely would as some of the timeline has an overlap and having that knowledge makes this a fuller story. There's no wondering.

I already loved Broken Princess and Brutal Queen (because hello, I’m a proud Why Choose girlie), but you know what else owns my heart? Age gap mafia romance, and this book delivered.
Stefano and Katerina have been toeing the line for years, until one night, at a wedding, no less... they kiss. Instead of dealing with it like a normal human, Stefano does what any emotionally repressed mafia man would do: he ghosts her… for four years.
Why? Oh, just a few little things. Like the fact that he’s 14 years older and her father’s best friend.
He wants her ... bad ... but he knows it’s wrong.
And that, my friends, is why we eat this trope up.
Katerina, whom we met as the sassy mob doctor in Brutal Queen, is still a total badass. She knows what she wants (Stefano), and she’s not afraid to push until he breaks. And trust me, when he breaks? It’s worth it.
When creepy notes start showing up in her locker at the hospital, Stefano steps in as her self-appointed bodyguard. Oh, and did I mention there's fake dating? The tension is off the charts. These two are pure gold. Their banter, the angst, the slow burn? I was GIDDY.
This one also hit me with some unexpected emotion. I especially loved that both characters are mature. Katerina is 34, an established surgeon who doesn’t just roll over like you see in some age gap romances. And Stefano, at 48, brings all that brooding protector and daddy energy in a way that actually feels earned.
Laura keeps me fed and entertained, and I cannot wait to see what’s next from her.

I am absolutely obsessed with Katerina and Stefano😫. I had a long travel day yesterday and this was the perfect book because I absolutely devoured it. Katerina and Stefano’s story overlaps with the first two books which is Aurora’s book- I quickly caught up on these two books before reading this one but if you do dive into this book first you won’t be lost what so ever as the author explains this world quite well👏🏼
Ok first things first is Katerina is not a woman to be messed with and I absolutely LIVED for it. Normally in the mafia romance genre a the FMC would come off as innocent and meek which is perfectly fine but sometimes you just can’t compare to a feisty heroine, who goes after what she wants and also can I just add our FMC is a badass doctor💅
When it comes to Stefano and Katerina there is no denying that these two are attracted to one another, and while both make their interest quite known- Stefano backs off out of respect for her father, which is also his best friend.
Four years pass and when Katerina starts to get unwanted attention from a secret admirer Stefano doesn’t hesitate to step up. These two decide to fake a relationship, but in all honesty the relationship wasn’t at all fake even from the get go- the chemistry was impeccable and tension between these two well you could cut it with a spoon🤭
While Stefano is protective and possessive of Katerina, he understands she is a fully capable woman. He doesn’t try to dim her light 👏🏼
Overall I absolutely loved this book and I’m grateful to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

This series truly has my whole heart.
I went into this book already loving Stefano and Katerina because of their loyalty to Aurora and all the help they provided her and the boys in books 1 and 2. But UGH, I think they just became one of my favorite characters, and it’s honestly hard to top Enzo for me. There was so much yummy tension from the first page!! I had craved hearing about what both characters had felt in regards to the coup and the immense betrayal on behalf of the De Luca Family, I was so glad to see some of those overlapping moments through the book. And I think this was done so well, because it also didn’t feel like the original story was rehashed over and over again.
The way that Stefano is possessive but also an absolute SOFTIE for Katerina had me swooning! She deserved nothing less!
Also, that alternate POV chapter?!? Hell.Yeah. I love when you a story has every perspective. 👀

Stefano, what a perfectly gorgeous grey fox specimen of a man he is! I loved his protectiveness, loyalty and his love for Katerina.
Katerina aka Doc Em, well seeing her in the previous two books I knew her story was going to be good and I throughly enjoyed seeing more of her feisty, no shit taking character! And she really is one hell of a tough cookie, I mean to literally be laying there after what she went through and tell of to fully grown men whilst hissing in pain, I mean I certainly wouldn’t want to mess with her!

YES I’ve been waiting for Stefano and Katerina for soooo long and their story was better than I hoped.
The plot was really thrilling and gripping. The plot twist was unexpected and a little gory to be honest but our Doc Em is a bad bitch so obviously she pulled through. I liked how the timeline overlapped with Bianchi Chronicles so we were able to read things from Katrina and Stefano’s POV. The time jumps were set really well and didn’t make me feel like I was missing anything either.
Stefano is an absolute daddy. Straight up, I would let that man do anything to me. Not only is he drop dead sexy, but his personality is so much gentler than you’d think for a Consigliere. Like, yes, he’s gruff and possessive and dominant but he is also so caring and loving to Katerina and I think that’s exactly what she needed. Caretaker of sorts. She is such a fantastic character, who perfectly portrays what it’s like being a woman in society. She’s headstrong and independent but eventually understood that she not only needed but wanted someone to take care of her sometimes.
The spice was delectable. Every scene was hot and steamy and passionate but full of love/longing. I loved the epilogue and the bonus chapter, which gave me an insight into their future.

Stefano is an absolute daddy. Straight up, I would let that man do anything to me. Not only is he drop dead sexy, but his personality is so much gentler than you’d think for a Consigliere. Like, yes, he’s gruff and possessive and dominant but he is also so caring and loving to Katerina and I think that’s exactly what she needed. Caretaker of sorts. She is such a fantastic character, who perfectly portrays what it’s like being a woman in society. She’s headstrong and independent but eventually understood that she not only needed but wanted someone to take care of her sometimes.
The spice was delectable. Every scene was hot and steamy and passionate but full of love/longing. I loved the epilogue and the bonus chapter, which gave me an insight into their future.

Omg! I have been waiting for this book forever! I read the first two books in this series and was intrigued by the sparks that kept firing between Katerina and Stefano, hoping that they would get their own fiery story. I was so excited when I found out that yes they would get to tell their love story! But omg! I was not expecting the twisted storyline that Laura decided upon when she gave it to us! Who knew that psychopaths come in all walks of life? Certainly not this life! The deranged outlook that the villain had in the book made it hard to put down! And the fierce love story between Katerina and Stefano made me cheer for them throughout the book! It was hot, it was spicy. The love scenes were intense and each one burned hotter than the last! I loved it! I cannot wait to see who Laura decides to introduce to us in her next segment of the Bianchi Mafia!

This is book 3 in the Bianchi Chronicles and it is on par with the other two books.
This time around we are introduced more in-depth to Katerina (aka Doc Em) and Stefano (the Bianchi consigliere), both of whom played a big part in the other books. Stefano is Katerina’s father’s best friend so their relationship is precarious from the start - a stolen kiss at a wedding. Fast forward 4 years, throw in a stalker for Katerina (it was mentioned in the second book) and things between them heat up as Stefano takes it upon himself to protect Katerina. Add in a 14 year age gap and there is a lot of drama surrounding the couple.
I did figure out the stalker’s identity fairly quickly, but the reveal and the ending was wow! Also, the storyline is not nearly as intense/violent as the first two books, but I wasn’t mad about that as the others had some sections where I had to put them down and take a break (not a bad thing though).
All in all, this series is a really great read and I’m happy I discovered a new author to watch.

With an obsessive stalker thrown into the mix this duo get pushed closer together… will they be able to keep denying these feelings?
This is my first read from Laura and I’m obsessed. The writing style is perfection, duel POVS to understand the characters more and their feelings, plenty of spice and drama and it’s just amazing. I didn’t read the first two books of the series prior to this (I wish I did) BUT the book still made sense and I was able to stick with it until the end. The twist of the stalker reveal along with other bumps in the road it’s making me want to read the other two so badly!

Absolute perfection! I absorbed this book in 1 day and now i'm in the middle of the worst book hangover i've ever experienced. It takes place and weaves throught the previous book's timelines and adds a different perspective to those stories.
Doc Em was a force to be reckoned with in book 1 & 2 and this book is no different, this story highlighted her strength but also her vulnerabilites.
Stefano is the most green flagged MMC I have ever read, he was exactly who she needed and his tenacity and protectiveness was swoon worthy.
This story has all the twists, turns, shocks and plenty of delicious spice that Laura does expertly. Some fun cemos from the Bianchi boys who are up to their usual tricks.
I cannot wait for the next book and an extended epilogue *cough* more like demanding *cough*

I will be first in line for anything Laura Bennett writes. You can see, hear and feel the scenes as they unfold. Doc Em was everything I hoped she would be and more. Strong, successful, loyal, and sexy as hell! From the minute we first met her in Broken Princess, I could not wait for her story. Stefano’s Daddy vibes were a perfect match for her. Absolutely loved the scene when he proclaims there is no stopping, no slowing down. He earned his title of Fierce Protector. I mean the man broke down and stormed through a door because she dropped a wine glass. Touch her and die? Actually annihilation would be imminent. Their characters were so enjoyable to read. Loved the flow of the storyline taking place at the same time as Broken Princess and Brutal Queen and revisiting some of the characters from a different perspective. Can’t wait to see what’s next from Laura Bennett.

I’ve been waiting for this book for so long and it did not disappoint. Although you don’t have to read the broken and brutal duet first I would strongly recommend for one because it’s amazing and my favourite duet but also the story over laps and you will get more of an understanding about what is happening throughout. Doc Em does not need a man, she doesn’t need anyone but she wants Stefano, her father’s best friend and has done for many years - it turns out the feeling is mutual and after denying themselves for so long they finally give in to it and it’s delicious! My kindle highlights are plentiful! Loved the glimpses of characters from previous books - would have liked to have seen more but looking forward to the next book of the series

This interconnected standalone ties into events from the previous two books, and even though I started with this one, I so need to read the other 2 immidiatly!! I absolutely zoomed through this book within a few hours. Oops..
I adored the fake relationship between Katarina and Stefano and how it slowly, blossomed into something more. Katarina was such a beautifully written, strong-willed character and i absolutely ADORED her. And Stefano? He was so perfect for her!! He always seemed to know exactly what she needed, when she needed it, and their chemistry was amazing!
I also so did not see the ending coming at all haha! It really ended up surprising me but in such a good way.
I really can’t recommend this enough!
