Melanie Wainright is smart, independent and about to embark on a new career as marketing director for a major equine magazine. She's got no room for a man in her life until an encounter with a sexy stranger, the hottest man she's ever seen, leaves her breathless.

Jake Hamilton, a leading Kentucky trainer, is the only man that ever set her on fire, but is he too dangerous for her heart? And can they overcome the obstacles of past and present to find happiness together?

Set amid the show and racing scene of Kentucky, Bits of Me combines hot men, smart women and horses in one steamy romance.

This is a stand alone novel, though there may be further adventures for Jake and Melanie in the future.

Not recommended for under 18. Strong sexual content.

HOT! Warning... If steamy graphic scenes aren't your thing...this one probably isn't for you. I wanted a cold shower after a few of the love scenes between Jake, who after traumatic incidents in his past, has sworn off any true relationships and Melanie, who is independant, career driven and doesn't want the complication of a man. Plus, romantic involvements she did have weren't exactly satisfactory. After an accidental encounter...their romance unfolds at a nice realistic pace.
Loved her friends. They were a little vulgar, but reminded me of my own group in lots of ways...so I really identified with some of them.
The best thing about this book is that the characters aren't whiny sniveling bores. They are smart and ambitious and real.
Its not great literature, but it was certainly a fun read!
