I was given an ARC of this book and I enjoyed it.
King, queen, prince, father, mother, son, each facing battles and choices to vanquish the enemy and save the realm. I particularly liked Gwendolyn's quest because of the philosophical and moral choices posed. There was plenty of action and a great sense of place.
This was a good fantasy story with magical elements, where evil attempts to take power.
Well-written and engaging.
