40 Prayers Of Praise

by Adam Houge

The number 40 has always been significant. Moses sat on the mountain in the presence of God for 40 days. Jesus fasted and prayed in the wilderness during His temptation for 40 days. It rained for 40 days and nights in the flood, and you can bet that Noah prayed on every one of those days!Consider taking the next forty days to sit in the presence of God and pray. Be renewed by His Spirit and dedicate yourself to a life full of His praises.

I used this for my morning and evening quiet time, and enjoyed it. It wasn't very deep, but I think its purpose wasn't to be an devotional to end all devotionals, but to be a spring board for your own exploration and meditation.

Great book to remind us to give praise to God in prayer

I love all Adam Houge's books. They always resonate with where I am spiritually. I appreciate this book because it's a reminder to praise God in our prayer time not just petition.

A Good Prayer Guide

This wasn’t exactly what I was looking for when I bought the book, but having said that I am sad that I reached the end.
It’s a good little prayer guide to get you started in your own intimate time with the Lord.

Uplifting

An uplifting and humbling daily devotional. Adam Houge always writes in a way which encourages me to honestly consider my shortfalls and strength of faith.
