Werewolves meet the Wild West in this thrilling final installment of the Wolf Brides trilogy.
Lucianna Whitlock has her entire life planned out for her by men determined to use her as a pawn in high society marriage games. But when she balks against the cruel man who has won her hand, he rips her life apart.
A strapping cowboy, half-feral and fully terrifying, saves her life from her ex-fiancé’s vengeance. When her only hope is to escape to America beside the stranger with the inhuman eyes and that thick, southern drawl, she’ll have to decide whether escaping her old life is worth leaving everything she knows behind.
Gable Dawson has been running as a wolf for over a year, but saving Lucianna is breathing new life into the human form he left behind. To keep her safe, he’ll brave the rough waters of the Atlantic on a merchant ship, and travel back to the home in Colorado Springs he’s been avoiding for years. He’ll need the help of his pack to keep his woman safe. If anyone is worth facing his sordid past for, it’s Lucianna.
And if he can claim his mate and protect her from the reach of the brutal man who’s hunting her, he just might save himself along the way.

T.S. Joyce is devoted to bringing hot shifter romances to readers. Hungry alpha males are her calling card, and the wilder the men, the more she'll make them pour their hearts out. She werebear swears there'll be no swooning heroines in her books. It takes tough-as-nails women to handle the shifters of Bear Valley.
She lives in a tiny town, outside of a tiny city, and devotes her life to writing big stories. Foodie, bear whisperer, ninja, thief of tiny bottles of awesome smelling hotel shampoo, nap connoisseur, movie fanatic, and zombie slayer, and most of this bio is true.
Bear Shifters? Check Smoldering Alpha Hotness? Double Check Sexy Scenes? Fasten up your girdles, ladies and gents, it's gonna to be a wild ride.
OK, so here we have another great heroine! (Not as good as Kristina, but still good!)
Lucianna is a high born English lady that find herself the only survivor (barely!) of her family. Her spurned fiancé killed everybody, her parents and her little brother too, in her country manor.
The last Dawson's brother, Gable, while in wolf form sensed the massacre and jumps to defend the last living being and in his fury kills the hired men who killed everybody.
Still covered in their blood he discovers Lucianna shot several time and berely alive.
And thus their story begins.
The creazy murderer is after Lucianna and they must flee.
Lucianna's change begins when she discovers that, besides being the target of a deranged sadicstic fiancé, she's also lame and scarred... She's not a pampered lady anymore!
I loved her transformation from a useless lady to a strong woman! It was excellently done!
I also appreciated that she discovered Gable's secret without all the drama Lorelei made! She just murmured: Wolf while in his arms after their first time... Sigh...
A small thing that was not necessary in my opinion and that I didn't much liked is his child by an Indian woman he didn't know he had... It was unnecassary...
I am determined to finish this series. (For some reason, I’ve already read book four, so this is the last one) And this was my favourite yet! It’s less focused on the historical aspects (which has been the weakest and my least favourite part), and more a rural living off the land type story, which was much more engaging for me. I loved Luc’s connection with Gable’s wolf, it was a different approach and it worked. There are some giant plot holes I chose to ignore (like Ralston arriving in one day) but it was a really sweet love story.
Not as good as the first two in the series. Been trying to let historical inaccuracies slide but poorly researched horse details will throw me out of the story every time. Two minutes of research would have solved this issue. If I were to write a book I would look up details on stuff I wasn’t an expert on. Ballet for example, I would have to look up every damn thing about ballet. I know I don’t know anything about it. I believe authors should be aware of what they don’t know. It’s so simple nowadays to research this stuff.
The only disappointment with this book was that it ended the series. Lucianna's and Gable's story maintained the high quality and standard of the series. There is still so much that could done to continue this series. I would love to know the parents story, to find out what happened to Gable's son, and if the next generation had it easier as this pack gained friends. Also, did Katrina ever have children. Big recommendations for this book and the whole series.
This has been one if the best series I've ever read! When I first started reading romance it was books set out into the wild west. Then I found shifter books and fell in love. With this book I get both tied together.
This was the best book of the series! I loved the growing affection between Luc & Gable. The happiness of their love makes you cry at times and belly laugh at others! This whole series was enjoyable and well worth rereading many times over.
The brother that didn't come home from the war is in England. He hears a boy cry and he changes into Gable Dawson and runs to try and save him. When he gets to the house they are all dead but Lucianna. She was being forced into a marriage by her father to an evil man. Finally at dinner her mother stand up and tells the suitor the marriage is off and to leave. The man stands and starts to leave but tells his man to kill them all. Lucianna and her little brother hide in a secret chamber in the wall. They almost make it but the little boy sobs they shoot into the wall. When Gable finds them her brother is dead and she has been shot several times. That begins the book and there is so much going on. It was so exciting and sad. This was a very good read. Really liked it.
Wao! This one was a very emotional story with very raw and intense violence. Luciana lost everything when she dare to refuse a marriage proposal from the wrong man. Gable was more wolf than man but he was Luciana's salvation. Now they are running from a crazed man intended in finishing what he started. I adored this series and Kristina, Lorelei and Luciana were fantastic mates to those hard headed wolves men. I was a bit disappointed though, that Kristina didn't get to have a baby herself. Nonetheless, highly recommend this book
A sequel to keep the reader on their toes! I love the new spin on shifter romance. In separate settings, the main character, Lucianna, befriends Gable as man and wolf. I love how she met them separately but put together their dual nature on her own. An intelligent heroine that still sweet and likable, Lucianna is someone I would want to befriend. She endures the massacre of her family, a deranged fiancé, life-threatening injuries, pirates, escaping prison, and a cross country train ride with strength and dignity befitting her backstory.
Gable is an angst-ridden alpha wolf who has seen the darker side of humanity during the American Civil War. Although he mentions utilizing the same pirate group to get to England that Lucianna uses to get to America, it is not explained why he ran to England to rehabilitate his wolf. With the overcrowding of England at that time period, it would make more sense to go to Canada or further west in the USA. Gable is complex and broody without being a toxic male character. He keeps his values despite fighting his wolf and is never violent toward Lucianna. A part that fell flat for me, was his reuniting with the other Dawson brothers. It was narrated from Lucianna’s POV and readers miss out on Gable’s emotions. The guys drink in the bar without Lucianna for hours and the reader misses out on the conversation. I’m still wondering how they managed to catch Gable up on the homestead without mentioning their wives.
The villains are underutilized in the plot of the book. While there is mention of Ralston’s reach into the States, once Lucianna boards the train he is absent. It takes the Sheriff luring him to Colorado that we see him against in her final scare. I would have loved to see him come to town and interact with the town’s people who have grown to accept the Dawson family. Did he eat at Cotton’s or stay at the saloon? I would have loved some build-up to Lucianna’s showdown.
Overall, another fantastic installment to this series with a special surprise twist in the end. It is this twist that brought tears to my eyes and the desire to seek out the next book. Great writing, unique setting, loveable characters are the cornerstone of this great book.
Gable Dawson was away from his hometown of Colorado Springs for so long. He was in England when he came across the massacre of a wealthy family, the Whitlock. The culprit was an evil and cruel man named Ralston Bastrop. Gable was able to rescue Lucianna who'd survived the ordeal unlike the rest of her family.
Lucianna Whitlock lost more than she'd imagined when her father had agreed to her marrying a craze, evil man. In her father's eyes it was a way for him to expand his business but for the Whit women it was a life sentence to hell. Finally her mother put her foot down and in a spilt second her whole life was turned upside down.
She was saved by a brave and handsome stranger by the name of Gable Dawson. She would have scars but she was happy to be alive, she couldn't stay on British soil so she decided to go to America with Gable. They grew closer as they were preparing for their trip. The said trip was a long and adventurous one, she found herself in the company of a white wolf and some amazing people.
Gable's homecoming was better than he'd expected, he found his brothers changed and he liked those changes. But he still felt guilty for leaving them without an Alpha and a brother. Having Luc with him was a wee easier, the way his sisters-in-law and brothers made her feel welcomed into the pack was heartwarming.
Loved all the life changing events that the Dawson Clan had to face. They handled them with love, respect and acceptance.
DAWSON BRIDE is the third book in T. S. Joyce's WOLF BRIDES series. It was heartbreaking, fascinating and oh so irresistible. Another magnificent job by T. S. Joyce. Two thumbs up
This was another solid read in this series. While I still find the idea of a historical Western Shifter romance a hilarious concept, these books just work for me as they're entertaining, written well, have likeable characters and a sweet, slow burn romance. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are references to characters from the previous two novels throughout. Gable is damaged and somewhat broken after fighting away from home at war and spending too long in wolf form. While still in England he comes across the massacre of Lucianna's family one night after she'd said no to marrying an influential and psychopathic lord. Alone, penniless and on the run, Lucianna is protected by Gable and travels by sea with his wolf to his family ranch in the USA.
Their romance is sweet and builds from fairly early on in the story. Gable is scarred both physically and mentally from the war and finds possible redemption in Lucianna. She's an innocent miss from a well-to-do family but thankfully not insipid. The dynamic between Gable and his brothers is well written and you finally learn more about Jeremiah's wife's passing. Just a bit of a warning for readers - when he was younger, Gable left his lover without a word so there's a little bit of drama in this book resulting from that. I found some of this plot line really sad so it took a little of the shine off the romance side of things and ended the book on a bit of a downer (even though there is a happy ending).
There are a few typos in the book, but nothing ground breaking apart from an obvious your/you're error. Overall it was an entertaining read, although a more meloncholy and emotional read than the others.
Sought after Lucianna Whitlock was sure her last thoughts would be ‘even bleeding to death in a hidden passage is better than marrying that cruel, crass American and leaving England.’ But fading in and out of consciousness¸ Luc was certain demon eyes stared back at her. But it wasn’t a demon it was oldest Dawson brother, Gable Dawson.
Having seen evidence of Lucianna’s troubles, heard her story and claimed responsibility for her, damaged white wolf Gable is certain the only place safe for Luc is on his family homestead, protected by him and his brothers. With her family murdered and her mad fiancé searching the English countryside to find and punish her for refusing him, Luc agrees. Rating: 4.5stars
I have read all the other books T.S. Joyce has written, but was always avoiding this one. Now, I do not understand what I could have been waiting for. This was the third and final book of this series, but in each one the Dawson brothers ended up picking the most perfect bride that would accept both sides of themselves, man as well as wolf. Living in the old west of America was never easy, and each pairing brought an unfortunate element of danger, but the love of family and good friends always won out in the end. I highly recommend this series!!!
A tale about a broken wolf, Gable, and a broken woman, Lucianna. Gable rescues her from an untenable situation and spirits her away to his family's ranch. Several difficult situations arise in true Dawson fashion from they must extricate themselves. The situation where a young family member is brought home to the Dawson homestead was one of the best emotional scenes ever. Needs some editing issues remedied and there were some matters which seemed incomplete, but it was a nice trilogy.
The characters are well developed, the story lines satisfying and the end of each book leaves the reader craving more. T.S. Joyce is an expert at keeping it real. Her main characters are wonderfully flawed and lovable. Her villains are reminiscent of evil many of us have faced in the real world. I've read most (if not all now) of T.S.Joyce's books and I still mourn when a series end. I will continue to read everything this happened author decides to share with us.
Each brother was broken in this series and Gave was no different. It would take an extremely strong woman to help heal him, if she lives. This book has adventures plus. From a massacre of whole family in the outskirts of London, England, a voyage on an almost Pirate ship to the planes and mountains of America, you'll find them all here plus some tears, giggles and laughter. Can you imagine a big, strong, good looking cowboy in a dress? You'll love this as I have. Should be more than 5 stars.
I have read all the books in this series and they are all amazing. The storyline is captivating and from book one to three. You will never get bored or want to put them down. The Dawson brothers are werewolves and settled in the wild West close to a small town. Over the course of the books each brothers escapades end up with a women in their lives. Theses women's tales in themselves are exciting, thri!ling and they didn't picture themselves in the wild West with handsome males. Great author will delve into the other series.
What do you do when you've read all the books an author you really enjoy wrote? Read them again.
I love anything T S Joyce writes and the. She creates complex, relatable characters whose flaws only make them more believable. My favorite characters are frequently the more audacious with slightly twisted senses of humor. Her dialogue is engaging and flows. And I love how good always wins when "family" pull together and family is what you make it.
I enjoyed the series. Liked the different spin on the shifter family life. My favorite couple was the 2nd brother. This books couple was good. But I felt like it needed more. The conversation during the drive of the cattle to homestead is one thing that could have been improved. It felt like, wait this is coming out of left field. Glad of how the Ute life were woven in, and the wrap up.
I read all three books and could not put them down. My favorite genre is shifter romance and especially when wolves are the shifters. Each story was romantic and also had some action and suspense twisted in. My favorite part were the strong female characters. This is the first series that I have read from this author and now that I have finished I am looking for another series from T.S. Joyce.
This book has everything from horrific tragedy to immense joy. The hero is a werewolf cowboy, war hero & the lady is just that. She goes through a strenuous, tension filled evolution to become the tough woman he needs. Love powers all of these books in this series. Sometimes its not a fun read, but the endings are always worth the pain.
It was great to finally meet Gable after hearing so much about him in the first two books. Lucianna was a darling girl and like Lorelei had been through much at the hands of a bad man (although it seemed a bit much more given the violence of it). I really was shocked her story started out so...but it suited them and the love they were able to grow from it. It saddened me that she'd forever have that limp...but then that's how they came together.
I'm going too kiss these guys and girls I've enjoyed every minute of these books and even been a little scared that the guys didn't make it as their wives did its a shame there where only 3 Dawson brothers perhaps someday we can revisit these guys as the dons get older please t s Joyce
I messed up on my review of the second book. So if your reading this I want you to know the second book was great. I loved watching Lorelei heal along with Jeremiah. In this third book, I was surprised by the beginning story setting but it was exciting to read the journey of Gable and Luccinia. Such a good series.
This story. It was completely heartbreaking at times, hopeful at others. It was engrossing and entertaining, sexy and interesting. It was only a story, but it feels like so much more. And just when I think things are “settles”, a new twist occurs, keeping me on the edge of my seat. I loved it.
I'm thrilled I finally got the chance to read the whole series. This story was fantastic, an epic adventure spanning 2 continents! Gable finally comes home and brings an injured Lucianna with him. Together they heal each other! It takes strong women to be Dawson Brides!
Those Dawson boys sure know how to pick their women. Gable got more than just a mate. Death is never far nor is justice for the wrongs done to their women. Lucianna found love after so much death with Gable his brothers and their wives. A strong pack/family with close friends turns out to be more than any of them had ever expected.
