Endless Love

Rate this book
Horrified and devastated upon witnessing the brutal murder of her husband at the hands of her family, Zara Hamilton narrowly escaped with her life, and that of her unborn son, intact. For years she lived in anguish, anger, and mourning over her husband’s death, while struggling single-handedly to raise their son.
Jaden Hamilton has loved Zara for as long as forever. He was first drawn to her as a friend and mentor in high school; recognizing that their love had grown to the forever kind, he married her. Jaden was shattered when she died, and vowed to destroy Zara’s family following their violent assault on him, and their role in his wife’s death.
Years later, he was stunned to discover his wife alive and well in another country. After being beaten, shot, and left for dead, how can he ever forgive her for not trying to gain justice for him, for depriving him of his son’s formative years, and for his years of torment? Consumed with rage and utter contempt, Jaden was determined to execute his own brand of revenge and justice upon Zara and her family.
The years of fending for herself and raising their son made Zara a strong, independent, confident woman. Certain of her ability to overcome an angry, stubborn husband, who had once loved her so fiercely, she fought to regain his love and trust. With no pride or safety net, she was determined to prove that he was her first love—her endless love.

The first romance novel I ever read was Cinderella! I devoured Disney’s version of romance until I was eleven, and then I discovered Mills & Boons. In those days kissing was the most explicit intimacy disclosed: the hero and heroine went to bed and came out the next day with smiles! I had no idea what happened, but I was intrigued. My mom had shelves and shelves of them. Over the long summer breaks, I barely left my bedroom! My busy parent had no idea what I was up to. I’ve always been fascinated with love stories. I started writing in college, but I never expected anyone would ever read my whimsical musings. LOL! Now years later, after husband and kids, and a solid career in finance I’ve started publishing those early ideas.

I write my stories so that every woman would be inspired to find the other half of themselves. With every story I tell, my Caribbean sisters are highlighted. Our culture is a melting pot of all ethnicities, where love has no color. We love who we love and make no apology for it. These stories are also infused with my love for sports and action thrillers. I’m an avid sports fan. Tennis, football, track and basketball are my favorites. I devour dramas and action movies. So it’s to be expected that my books have a healthy dose of adventure.

Writing romance novels has been a dream I never knew I had. It was born out of suddenly having a little extra time with the kids out of the house. I absolutely love this creative outlet.

Author’s Creed
I like women strong, and my men stronger!
I like my sex raunchy but meaningful!

A real Endless Love

Z and Jaden were meant to be. There story was epic because no matter how hard her family tried to destroy them they finally got their happy ending. What a shame how her father thought he could just discard their union. I loved it and look forward to other novels by Ms. Mortimer!

4-ENDLESS LOVE
This woman had truly loved this jerk after the way he treated her and then expected her to still fall in line. Zara and Jaden were friends long before they became more. He was her confidant. She was his connection to something more. She was soon becoming his everything after seeing her on her 17th birthday. Then that was where the family intervened. There were choices to be made. One life stolen, another life lost. They both walk away in different ways in different directions. They both find that life has much more in store for them in the coming decade.

The background of this story was intriguing. It was full and captivating. I also wanted to know more about Jaden's brothers of the heart. They were a small part of the story but felt important. After finding each other again you would think this would be the beginning of their happiness. Not so. For Zara this was where things get even more complicated and not so happy. Jaden did all he could to break her. When he finally breaks her. He wants to then listen to what she has been trying to tell him for the past several weeks. I would have really liked to see him beg more or even longer. He treated her like she was nothing. Then he was all ready to let her live like that until he was satisfied. Nope. Not. Happening. I need one author to let this be known and make him suffer. I am not talking about for a week or even a month. Women are supposed to have fire and fury. I don't see that being over with because he says he is sorry.

I still want more of D.M. Mortier.

Never ending

Zara and Jaden's love was never ending, despite the circumstances that caused their separation. Zara's family's selfishness caused them to lose nine years of life together and missing out on raising a family together. Jaden made me want to throat punch him for his treatment of Zara after reconnecting, but I'm glad that he finally came to his senses.

When I first started to read this book, I loved it.
After they found each other and Jaden started controlling Zara with sex and threats, I liked it less.

I didn't care for all the dirty language or all the sex in the book. The book could have been written and been just as good without those parts. (I just skipped reading that part)

I did like the way it ended with them as a family.

Love stands the test of time

This book was full of drama, lies, and revenge. Zara and Jaden were in love with each other since they were young. Tragedy happens and both end up living nine years believing that each other were dead. They are reunited unexpectedly. Sparks fly and tempers rage. I didn't like how Jaden treated Zara or how she just let him have his way with her. Besides Jaden's ridiculous behavior I really enjoyed reading this book.

Beautiful story line

This book shows you how true love between two people can withstand heartache and misunderstanding. if you are a romance fanatic like myself; you will love this book. it about young couple that has been in love, but due to the heroines family(mainly her father) their love was challenge for many years before being United after nine years of separation. This book also shows you how greed can make a person do stupid things. but love always prevail in SICKNESS and health forever more

I liked this book ,Jaden and Zara are a very passionate couple . I would have loved to see them interact more as a family , I wanted t watch them connect on a personal level rather than the sexual level displayed in this book. Overall this is a pretty good for a first book .

I enjoyed this book

Wow what a good book. I enjoyed how Jaden gave her time to grow up and how their love withstood the time. Sometimes we need to get to know each other first, like some say friends before becoming lovers.

This book needs to be made into a movie, it was very good. Jaden, Zara and her dysfunctional family made this story an engaging and interesting read.

WAY too much purple prose for me:

From the jagged edges, it was evident he had suffered greatly while receiving it. His dark, raven stare appeared cold and hard with an air of cynicism, but still sharp, intelligent, taking note of everything around him. His grey suit was obviously custom made, because it fitted him superbly. He looked elegant and dangerous at the same time. His posture was arrogant and brutally imposing.

His gaze lost some of its coldness and instead blazed with instant disbelief, then recognition, and stunned awareness. His nostrils flared
(Ya gotta love the old 'flared nostrils ;) ) and his breathing became visibly labored. His emotionless shield was obliterated for a brief moment.

She was confused by the harsh, angry look Jaden gave her before he slowly turned to Tony and fiercely whispered a few words to him. Tony looked initially perplexed and shocked, but upon spying the almost savage look Jaden had in his stony eyes he abruptly sprang into action and herded people out of the room.

He was absolutely stunned to see his wife, alive and well and living on this island paradise. He was initially paralayzed with grateful, searing elation when he'd first glimpsed her. His emotions ranged from piercing joy, paralyzing disbelief, and excruciating, mind-numbing desire. But now, an omnipotent rage, the likes of which he'd never felt before, reigned supreme. It flowed like hot lava through every pore in his body.

I gave up when his 'feral emotions' were checked by her 'woeful, unceasing tears'.

This reads like squeeing fanfic.

Not rating.

Once again

I read a book by this author where the heroine is really immature. I understand that she was really young when everything happened so she was overwhelmed and just wanted to run. However it’s inconceivable that in 8 years, away from danger, she was quite happy to ignore that her family murdered her husband. Even if she didn’t want his brothers to be in danger too, she should have contacted them at least to tell them he was dead. Now all this time after, I found it incredible that she’s upset that he is angry with her. It’s obvious to me as to why. Not telling him straight away about his son was foul. She was looking after number one again. Once again we have a heroine who can’t understand why her man isn’t falling at her feet straight away. She’s hellbent on talking about her side of the story but she never asked him what happened, how he survived etc. Let’s be honest all she had to suffer through was an attempt to mary her off and the “loss of his life”, he on the other end had to literally fight for his life, then his freedom when they accused him of abuse and finally mourn her. I would think that he should be given a little leeway and time to overcome all of that. Bringing up their disagreements in front of their son showed her childishness. I don’t understand why in a lot of IR book, fathers are treated like they are expendable.

From heartbreak to Love everlasting

Loved how Jaden and Zara's story started out with then being friends and because of her age, Jaden didn't take advantage of her. Once they were age appropriate their love was even more special, and admitting that to each other was nice. What Zara's family did to Jaden and tried to do to her was disgusting. Each thinking the other was dead was heartbreaking, so I loved that they got the chance to be together again, and Jaden learning he has a son. Jaden however was less likeable when he made assumptions about Zara's involvement in what her family did to him, and worst by not letting her explain why and how she was on that island so far away from home. She sacrificed a lot to protect herself and their child Dante. Her father and brothers hopefully will never get out of jail. So, in the end, their "Endless Love" was stronger than anything, and their greatest blessing.👍

Love prevails!

I read the books out of order starting with the third book and wanted to read the series. Jaden and Zara met when the timing wasn't quite right. Zara knew he was it for her and lived her life that way. After a tough time it was crazy how their paths ended up crossing again. At some points it felt unrealistic but overall I enjoyed the story.

Good Book

It was a shame what Zara father and brothers did to Jaden. She thinking he was dead. Jaden thinking Zara was dead also. The shocking moment they finally see each other again. It was a little touchy at first. Glad they finally was able to really be together. Very good book.

A hit mess!

Jaden was a hot mess, he was so angry with her, but his love wouldn't let her go. No matter how much he declared it was just lust, but truly you could see his hurt, love, and frustration. But she was better than me cause I would have been so damn mad at him we would have ended up in divorce court.

All the potential in the world, the developing storyline was interesting and had the makes of a wonderful novel; however, I never could become engaged with my attention fully invested. I will definitely have to give this story another try later on.

Good story

Jaden and Zara were a very passionate couple. I do think she gave in too easily to Jaden after he treated her so horrendously.
