As a wild child, Stefanie Sutherland-Thomas never backed down from a dare. But the responsible, low-key role she has grown into as a widowed single mother and Army nurse has her feeling stuck in a rut. When her best friend challenges her to do something daring while on vacation, Stef picks up the gauntlet. Her to have a one-night stand with a random island hottie. But Stef gets the shock of her life when she discovers her casual hook-up isn’t some random stranger; he’s her brother’s boss!

Dustin “Hawk” Patrick knows a thing or two about taking risks. The ex-Navy pilot gambled by striking out on his own and now owns one of the fastest growing helicopter shuttle services in the Gulf South. But now everyone wants a piece of his business. Desperate for a reprieve from the pressures of work, Dustin uses his best friend’s wedding in Turks and Caicos as an opportunity to engage in a stress-free fling. Until he discovers his hot island angel is his best friend’s sister—in other words, off limits. But after just one taste of Stefanie’s passionate kiss, Dustin knows he can never let her go.

When it comes to love, will Dustin and Stefanie dare to let their desires take control?

Spend the day with me tomorrow. Let’s make the most of our last day here.”
She shook her head.
“Wait a minute,” Dustin said. “I know how to make you say yes.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Don’t say it,” Stefanie warned.
A wicked smile curved up the corners of his lips.
“I dare you.”

I Dare You is book 5 in the Moments in Maplesville series by Farrah Rochon. It is a quick read and a good one.
Stephenie Southerland- Thomas is on the island to celebrate her brother’s wedding and is considering a dare her best friend Tania offered. Tania dared her to have an affair while on the island and relax. However, Stephanie is finding it hard to find anyone. Then Dustin walks into the bar and starts talking to her. They hit it off and eventually go to his hotel where she finds she is unable to go through with it. Dustin had already had qualms about going with Stephanie as he knew he was her brother’s boss and friend so wasn’t too upset when she left. However, he couldn’t get her off his mind.
When they meet at the wedding, he convinces her to spend time with him on the following day to just have fun. They spend the rest of their time on the island together and have fun. Stephanie is afraid to let her wild and dangerous side out. Will she be safe with Dustin? How will her brother and son, Jacov, respond to him?

I know Maplesville is a fictional town but Farrah Rochon's writing makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. In I Dare You we hear about Steph and Dustin's love story. They meet at Steph's twin brother, Stephen's wedding and sparks fly. Steph has been told she is a stick in the mud and she is out to prove to her friend that she can get wild and let loose. She picks up Dustin in a bar, not knowing that he is her brothers boss and the Best man in the wedding.
Farrah's Moments in Maplesville series is one of the best one yet. If you haven't read this series, pick up the first book in the series, A Perfect Holiday Fling, and visit the town of Maplesville......I DARE YOU!

I swear, every book in this series gets more amazing than the last. I was waiting for Stefanie’s story to unfold right after reading Stefan’s (her twin brother). Longing for it actually. A military ER nurse can only have a fabulous story line. And she does.

One thing I really enjoyed about this novella was that it started out hot and heavy, simmered for a while as a friendship grew between Dustin and Stefanie and then it blazed again. A wonderful romance.

I’m so happy I have book five on my Kindle to jump into.

I purchased this book from Amazon.

Great read!

I enjoyed reading this story about Stephanie and Dustin. With Stephanie having two tragic things happen in her life, I do understand why she was scared but thank goodness for Dustin he was determined to get the woman how tilted his world on it side. I definitely read this story.

Stephanie is responsible, a widowed single mom, and low key; Dustin is an ex-Navy pilot who likes to take risks. When Stephanie's best friend dares her to do something daring, she tries a casual hook-up with Dustin. Little does she know that Dustin is her twin's boss and best friend.

Lovely story. A heroine resisting her wild side and a hero daring her not to. Enjoyed this one in the series just as much as the first three. Great addition.

This was a cute little novella. Less than 200 pages so a quick read. I always love Farrah Rochon’s writing style and the interesting background she gives her characters. Super cute!

Nice story. Wish it was a little longer

I really enjoyed reading about Dustin and Stef but I felt like it wrapped up rather quickly. But it was a nice story and it's always fun to see how the couples from the previous books are doing.

I'm not sure if I want to get the next books in the series tho since it seems to involve new people and I'm quite attached to this group. Lol.
