The day of the ritual has arrived at last, and Gwynne is finally going to be with her two mates. Like any woman in her position, she's filled with apprehension, excitement and longing. But the night ahead is going to be amazing: two strong, gorgeous men to herself. What could possibly go wrong?
Things in the clan are difficult, though: the only female shifter in the pack seems to hate Gwynne. To make matters worse, she's not allowed to go out on her own, which means that essentially she's a prisoner in her own new home. And oh yes: there's a rival group of shifters who wants her dead.
Why was it again that she thought it was a good idea to leave the twenty-first century and head to this one?
Oh, right. The two incredibly hot men who are chomping at the bit to be with her.
Fair enough.
This 20,000 word novella is the second in the Sought by the Alphas serial, after Encounters. A new instalment will be released every few weeks unless the author is trapped under a refrigerator or other large household appliance.
Recommended for readers 18+ due to explicit language, some brief moments of gore and adult situations.
Absolutely loved and wrapped up in this story! Not intended for children. But these characters are in a wonderful romance set by destiny and a arranged marriage with unbelievable situation. The series can go in many directions and can not wait to find where it leads.
It's getting better I can say that however I don't really feel the emotion that the characters feel. Rauth is a asshole as well I prefer Lachlan instead. Gwynne it's starting to come into her doer and the boys are in terrible keeping secrets from her. Dun dun dun
If you like great chemistry, sex, beautiful Celtic landscape, shifters, romance, intrigue, and time travel, you will LOVE this book!
I was given this arc by the author for an honest review.
I found Rituals: Alphas Book Two by Carina Wilder to be an excellent sequel to the world she started with Encounters. Gwynne has traveled back to the past to mate with the two Alphas who have sworn to protect her. As she strives to unravel the mystery of who she is, she embraces what it means to be the Cwen (Queen) of these two alphas and to learn how to live in their medievel world that lacks many of the creature comforts that Gwynne had come to appreciate in the 21st century. She also starts to know others in the clan such as the female wolf shifter Bree who despises her, her sweet newly appointed human maid Ygrena, and Hallam, one of the wolf shifters. As Gwynne fulfills her destiny with the rituals she notices that she starts to feel differently inside yet doesn't know what or why she is feeling this way. This story has great chemistry, sex, beautiful Celtic landscape, shifters, romance, intrigue, time travel, and a surprise ending. This is definitely a 5 out of 5 and the I am so ready to read the next book in the series!

Well has much as a hate cliff hangers... I’m really enjoying this series so far. When you have a writer that can touch more than one emotion, well then you're a happy reader. Color me happy. Yes another quick little read, sometimes I wonder if the writer could just smush them together and make just one book. That being said, Rauth almost redeemed himself, the type of male is pretty typical for that time frame. But then his cousin Lachlan is quiet a bit different and is from the same era. I can't even imagine Gwyenne and the total backwards culture shock she is in. Did they even have running water back then. (smiles) With the shifter fight around the corner the tri-couple will take time out for the ritual. It is imperative to make sure it happens. Neither male can or will say much of what Gwyenne should expect. Even so she does very well with trying to adapt. Gwyenne still wishes to know more of her parents, of what and how is she the Savior of the clan. A one sitting read, that is fast paced. You will need to read Encounters before reading this one. A bit of magic, a lot of alpha, a bit of danger, tossing it around with some much need “ritual” loving and you have a story that will have you wishing you had the next book in your hands. I cant wait to get the next one in my hot little hands. Enjoy the experience of Ritual.
Gwynne will finally be with her two alpha's Lachlan ( who she does seen to favor) and Rauth ( they are learning to care, just not as much, yet) They are as different as night and day. She came back in time to save their people with Lord Lachlan, when he came forward and met her and explained. But a letter left by her mother sent her their to find her destiny, and she will be strong enough to do it, she will. But though all is done to protect her (since the first ritual, she has felt different and no one has told her anything) But Kapral (who wants her dead ) has tried to get to her twice, and now he has. her guard must choose between saving Gwynne as the Loads ordered or saving the castle . Torn till told go, not Gwynne must face Kapral alone. Can she survive? What is this strange feeling of power? What is making her feel sure she can kill this shifter/Bird ? She pulls his hands off her. Then he said "he said this would happen" then she ask "who" "your father" Now she saw her hands have changed,to what?
Wonderful, mystrey , shifter love story....WITH TIME TRAVEL......Can't WAIT For The Next One
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Carina Wilder. This is #2 of the Sought by the Alphas series by the author.
Gwynne is awaiting the night of the rituals to become Rauth and Lachlan queen. Things do not go as planned when the flyers attach the castle. Now the flyers have added more evil to the attach. Gwynne is trying to deal with being in the 1300's but sometimes it just get a little hard to do and trying to stay safe can be a problem.
I love the character of Gwynne because the author wrote her as a semi strong character but as the story goes on she gets stronger. Another smooth flowing story from the author.
This is for mature paranormal romance readers because of sexual content. This is #2 of the series by the author and it is best to read the other books first as this book starts where book 1 leaves off.
This is a review for Rituals, Trial by fire, Kinship and Dragon queen. These are parts 2-5 in the sought by the alphas serial. I did like the idea behind this I just did not like Rauth. He was a complete jerk for all of the series. He just did not have many redeeming qualities. I am not sure if it was the writing style or what but just did not love it. I just finished them because I could read them for free via Amazon Unlimited (totally worth it by the way) and I wanted to know what happened. Thinking back there is one thing that I think the author should have incorporated. I really would have liked the trio to have some kind of mating mark or something. I mean if you are going to call their joining a "Ritual" I think they need some kind of mating mark.
I was given this book by the author for an honest review
Despite the fact that i liked this book more than the first one i still have to say that keeping all the manerisms of the era and refering to her as Lady and all that jazz doesn't fit well with the sex scenes that were more brute and the talking more intimate and nowdays. I think that the effort of merging the two eras failed. Other than that the book is fast paced with hot as hell sex scenes and the a story that unfolds nicely. The characters are well written and the world building is nicely done. Its a really nice efford and its has a lot of pontentials and a series that i would keep reading.
I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review.
As much as I hate serials, I am really enjoying this very different story of Shifters. This is book 2 and it is getting better as it goes along....Gwynne has finally come to terms with her 2 Alpha's and the year she is in, although she does miss technology. she loves the idea of having 2 gorgeous men with completely opposite personalities catering to her sexual fantasies she never knew she had....
What are they keeping from her though, something is up and she is about to find out that she has never been what she thinks, but what is it that makes her so special???
HOT, HOT SHIFTERS!!!!!! I wish it was all one book. I hate having to wait for the next part. This one starts right where the first one stopped, but it ended too soon. I had an idea what she was going to shift into. Can't wait to find out the rest of the story as to why. Also, not sure who the good guys are, and what happened to her mother. Can't wait for book 3. Will she stay in her time or go back in time again? If you haven't started this series yet, you are missing a great read. Rituals is a Hot, Hot, read. I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Patsy Sacco
Book given to me for honest review. Continues the story from Encounters:Sought by the Alphas Book One. Gwynne was taken from 2014 to 1348. She feels that she belongs here and is ready for the Ritual. She has many questions and no answers. She loves both Alphas equally but in different ways. Ruth is lust and safe. Lachlan is goodness, loyalty and faithfulness. The Ritual is postponed because there has been an attack.
In this book we meet Rauth, the Alpha leader. There seems to be a confusing mix of meshing modern times with the 1300's but I'll let that slide. Lachlan and Rauth are hot, though they are completely different from each other. Rauth is all badass and brooding where it seems as though he sees Gwen as a means to an end (what end?); Lachlan seems to be tender and caring, truly respecting Gwen as both a friend and lover.
I'm enjoying the books about the parents and how they came to be. This series is just as good as the one that follows. One of the things that I like the most is that although this series is about the parents it's not necessary to read before reading the next series. Excellent job keeping them tied yet separate.
The second book in the series did not disappoint it picked right up where the first book end. I found it very intriguing and entertaining and once again you get so caught up with the book and then it just leaving you with this anticipation can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
I'm really loving this story! Things are happening that I wasn't expecting. I really am enjoying this series. Did I say that already? Lol I think others will enjoy it too!!!
Kindle Unlimited book. She is getting into her position as mate to the Alphas and as Queen. What will happen when she disappears? What did she shift into?
Several smoking hot "ritual" ménage scenes. Gwinnett has gone through the ritual with her mates, but do they really love her or even care for her, or is she just a means to an end?
Fantastic!!! Must read the next book. Leaves you hanging, but entices you to continue. You know there must be a traitor somewhere or at least, it sounds like it.
Luck girl two men. The females don't like her but Wynne won't quit with those men.giving her so much attention. Fast paced but like her books like that.
