Oh boy. These two have so much learning and growing to do in this book before they can be ready for the adventure ahead of them. And it was a wild ride to watch as Amelia and Jared navigated opening up to each other and falling in love – even if they were fighting it, kicking and screaming, the whole way. I loved seeing their “a-hah!” moments and it made me giggle to witness the secondary romance happening in the background of their story. I'm kind of sorry it’s over already, because I don’t think I'm prepared to let go of these characters just yet.

If you read a lot of romances like I do, it’s always notable when one comes along with a favorite trope but with a really interesting story and I’m glad to have been able to read an early copy to offer some insight.

ONE RECKLESS NIGHT does the billionaire playboy doctor and accidental pregnancy thing well, but what made me really enjoy the book was the setting of a state of the art Neuroscience Lab in the Florida Keys and a genius level successful doctor too arrogant for the common folk. Amelia coming into his life and upsetting is very controlled, ordered existence while exposing all his vulnerabilities is an entertaining story.

Neurosurgeon Jared Welch finishes his speech which once again stirs up feathers from the attendees then starts a conversation at the bar with a lovely British lady who is actually a research doctor. But when he offers her a nightcap, she politely declines and vanishes. Little does he know that they will meet again shortly as Dr. Amelia Pritchard boards his private jet on the way to his Key West laboratory.

Amelia, who grew up poor, is blown away with her two-bedroom condo and looks forward to sharing her research in age-related degeneration and traumatic brain injury that earned her this amazing opportunity. If only she can keep her distance from the draw toward Jared and vice versa. But they can’t, that is until Amelia bares her feelings and confesses that she wants more than a physical relationship, and Jared replies with a pronouncement that he can’t offer her anything more for fear of being hurt. So they part personal ways, still bound by their professional obligations.
Then they receive a momentous surprise.

Once again I am in awe of how Weston Parker creates such complex novels, this time set against the backdrop of neurological medicine that is detailed to the nth degree. And as complex as the location and plot line are, the characters of Amelia and Jared are even more so, and readers get an intimate understanding of their insecurities and frailties as they maneuver through uncharted waters. I vacillated between laughing and crying each time one of them stumbled then rose again, but through it all I was enthralled and grateful for Parker’s compositional talents. Do not miss this stunning story!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Jared and Amelia. Jared is a world famous neurosurgeon and a playboy. He meets Amelia at a banquet in his honor and she refuses his advances. Jared later learns she is the new researcher he hired. Jared is drawn to Amelia and wants her, but she isn't interested in anything other than her work. The more Amelia sees Jared, the harder it is to fight her attraction to him. Amelia knows Jared is a playboy and will never settle down, so she thinks of their encounter as a mistake. They continue to fight their attraction to one another, but it is too strong. Jared still doesn't want a relationship and Amelia knows she has to make a decision to stay or quit her job and return to England. Jared was hurt in the past and i think he couldn't accept that love was worth a chance again. I liked Amelia, but she was a little closed off to people. I think Jared needed to decide how he wanted his life to be, he avoided his family and anyone who didn't treat him like a god. I thought he was very arrogant at first and he needed to mature, even though he was successful and famous. This was another good one from Weston.

Jared and Amelia’s story is a page turner!

Jared Welsh is a famous neurosurgeon and owns Welch Labs in Siesta Kay, Florida, a research compound. Amelia Pritchard is the new doctor at Welch Labs. She is doing research on TBI after a head injury because that happened to her mom. They meet before she starts her job at a fundraiser in Miami and tries to pick her up. She knows who he is, but he’s arrogant with ego the size of the universe. He doesn’t know who she is. He’s surprised when he sees her board his private plane to go to the compound. They are attracted to each other, but are off limits to one another. Jared’s been hurt deeply once before in a relationship and he’s put up high walls. Amelia must concentrate on her research. When push comes to shove, they can’t resist each other, but they can’t commit either, especially Jared. Their story has ups and downs, mostly downs and twists and turns until realization comes to both. It’s a steamy story with intense chemistry. I loved it!

You’ll love One Reckless Night and it won’t take you long to become emotionally involved with Amelia and Jared. He’s the arrogant, billionaire owner of the famed Welch Medical labs and a famous neurosurgeon. He’s a player who has no interest in settling down with anyone, much less starting a family. She’s a brilliant medical researcher who lands her dream job with his clinic. She’s not impressed with his attitude and he’s shocked when she brushes off his advances. Their chemistry is off the charts and they continually fight their attraction. Feelings, sabotage from an ex, a dying mom, fear of commitment and lots of emotional baggage come into play. This was a great story that grabs your attention right at the beginning and keeps it. No shortage of drama or emotion with plenty of angst. Eventually an HEA with no cliffhanger. I read a complimentary copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

Jared's ego is well earned. A renowned billionaire neurosurgeon, he has no shortage of people who want a piece of him. His skilled hands in their operating room. His expertise consulting on their cases. Women wanting him in their bed.

But the one woman who doesn't seem to want him ends up his new researcher. Brilliant in her own right, Amelia is driven to study the effects of traumatic brain injury on dementia in efforts to help others suffering from her mom's condition. Amelia and Jared clashed almost as much as they were drawn together, causing sparks to fly both in and out of the bedroom. Their romance got off to a rocky start, thanks to Jared's ex, his guarded heart, and a surprise pregnancy. I enjoyed Jared's development as a character from the cocky playboy we met in the first chapters. Weston Parker delivered another great romance with this story.

DON’T GIVE UP ON THIS BOOK…I know this book runs really long—over 850 pages—but if you’ll just stick it out past the first 200 pages, it will be so worth it! Grab some tissues, something to drink, and settle in for an absolutely wonderful read. It’s one of those books that will really hurt your heart yet give you so much hope…finally.

The storyline—once you get past that first 200 pages—has everything you want in a good romance; the characters are not only well developed but also well balanced…which is critical in all Weston Parker novels; the plot is solid—no real surprises there; but the HEA is going to rip your heart out and then put it back together a piece at a time. You absolutely must add this book to your TBR list today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and totally loved it once I got past those first 200 pages!) “Brain surgery was so much simpler than falling in love.”

I really enjoyed the start of this book. I enjoyed a romance book focused around neurology and research where both main characters are genius doctors. The chemistry between Amelia and Jared was immediate and I loved that Amelia didn’t give into him immediately. However, their lack of communication really brought down their progress as the book went on. I felt like it was pretty obvious what they both wanted right from the start, but then they start to misunderstand each other’s intentions, but without really talking about it.

I also found that as the book went on, the characters and actions became kind of childish. It was a refreshing romance with characters in their 30s but the drama felt like it was influenced by a high schooler.

They say you should never meet your heroes, Amelia was looking forward to meeting the famous surgeon and billionaire Jared, who was now her new boss. When they first met he had no idea who she was, but knew he found her attractive and so made a move on her which she promptly rebutted. When they next met it was in a more professional capacity and he found himself attracted by her mind and intellect as much as by her physique. They both try and keep their distance, but are both attracted and intrigued by the other, although Jared makes it clear he has no interest in relationships.
What could change Jared’s position towards relationships, and is Amelia willing to give him a chance.
I received this as an ARC and thoroughly enjoyed following the twists and turns of their romance.

Dr. Jared Welch, owner and chief neurosurgeon at Welch Labs in Key West, hired Dr. Amelia Pritchard as a researcher at his lab. There were immediate sparks when they met and a slow burn ensued. Things blew up when Amelia realized that she had strong feelings for Jared, Then they both experienced great anguish in their lives apart from each other, but he basically had told her that he had no room in his life for a relationship and didn't want kids; his work was his all-consuming priority. They both attempted to move on with their lives but found that was impossible. Their HEA was really sweet and well worth the effort they expended becoming better, more compassionate people. Weston Parker has written another winner which is a very thought-provoking read.

The driving force in Jared’s life is his career as a doctor which doesn’t leave much time for anything else. He keeps his relationships casual and emotion free but that is being challenged when Amelia is hired to learn from him and for the first time a professional relationship is beginning to feel very personal.

Amelia may be devoted to her research, but her personal life isn’t without its challenges. A physical relationship with Jared might be what she needs however when feelings get involved it changes everything especially when it is no longer the two of them that are affected.

The emotions that Jared and Amelia’s story will have you feeling will touch your heart as they fight their feelings every step of the way until they realize how inevitable their love truly is.

Jared Welch is a neuro surgeon who also owns his own research lab in the keys. He’s great at what he does along with being hot and a playboy. He was burnt in the past and doesn’t do relationships. Amelia Pritchard is a neuro scientist who has been hired to work for his lab. Her mom has dementia so Amelia is focused on trying to help people with that and brain injuries. Both main characters come with their own sets of issues from their past. When they finally give into temptation what will happen when Amelia wants more?

Weston brings us a wonderful story about a man learning to trust love again and the woman who doesn’t back down from anything. I highly suggest reading this book it will keep you flipping the pages. I received an arc copy and this is my honest review.

wowsa, this book is absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flows throughout the book. Jared is a famous doctor, and who knows how to keep people away,but when he meets Amelia, he has met his match ,but when he finds out she works for him, can he keep it professional? Amelia is excited to finally meet her idol, but first impressions could change her mind? I throughly enjoyed this book. it's compelling and captivating and tantalizing and heartbreaking and so much more. you definitely could feel the characters emotions through out this book as well.

I have loved every single story Mr. Parker has created!

The standoffish, egotistical doctor!
Too good for everyone.
Too busy for anyone. Even family.
A relationship! Too much time to invest.
Everything was about saving lives.

But what about his life?
Jared wanted one-night stands ONLY!

Amelia has so much going on in her personal life.
She doesn't want a serious attachment either.
Or does she?

I loved the push and pull.
Loved the angst and emotions!
Loved the delicious, sexy times!

I definitely was hoping for more than "One Reckless Night!"

Thank you Weston again for another 100% winning, sensual and steamy love story, with all the feels! Jared and Amelia's story is magical! 100% recommended! As smart as they both are, they're both sort of anti-social. He's one of those doctors with no bedside manner, I've been there. She sure turns his life around. What a life she's lead, but she suffers in silence. So happy she finds Clair and Jared to eventually talk about her past. The supporting characters are outstanding again, per usual with Weston' beautifully written romances! I love it!

Wow, what a great story!!! Dr. Jared Welch, famous neurosurgeon and Dr. Amelia Prtichard, researcher at his lab, meet at a seminar where Dr. Welch is a keynote speaker. There are definite sparks when they meet but Amelia isn't interested and this is a first for the sexy Dr. Welch who has no idea she is a new researcher at his lab and works for him. And so it begins..... Will Amelia admit she has feelings for Jared? And will Jared admit that Amelia is right for him? This is a true page turner full of deep emotions, highs and lows for both, heartache and happiness and lots of great sex!!!!! You will LOVE this book!

The story of Amelia and Jared is a complex but beautiful love story about two very brilliant doctors with very different approaches. Jared is a neurosurgeon who adorable life as clinically as possible to avoid getting a broken heart. Amelia is a researcher who wants to find a cure for dementia and TBIs because she loses her parents to that your of trauma. These two are like fire and water, but the chemistry is unavoidable. The chaos that ensues changes their lives forever.

There is a ton of learning that these characters experience thru their love story, and it's great to see them change and grow throughout. This is a must read! Such a lovely ending!

Jared is a neurosurgeon who is brilliant, rich, arrogant and emotionally clueless. Amelia has just landed her dream job as a researcher at Jared's renowned lab. But she can't stand him. He pursues her relentlessly and lust wins her over. However, sometimes passion can lead to surprises. Jared has no interest in a relationship with anyone including Amelia. So much angst! And Jared is so clueless about dealing with Amelia. This is a really good romance featuring a wonderful cast of characters. Clair and Shawn are a great example. He is even more clueless than Jared. Clair is hilarious in goading him along and finally gets him right where she wants him. Great read!

Jared, what an arrogant man he was. He might have been a brilliant neurosurgeon but he came across as an entitled individual who expected women to just fall at his feet. Just when you thought you had his character sussed he did something generous but it was still hard to warm to him.
Amelia with the difficulty of being responsible for her ailing mother definitely had her work cut out in dealing with her attraction to Jared, and trying to keep her personal struggles private.
They had a bumpy journey with Jared facing some home truths before he saw the light and they got their HEA.

They are total opposites but manage to worm their way into each other's hearts. Amelia is there to learn from him, but the close proximity has Jared and Amelia experience things neither of them are ready for nor were they expecting it. As they navigate their path through their relationship it was great to see them bonding and coming to terms with what they were experiencing. Will it lead them to happiness.

Jared and Amelia have a love story that has some very tough, touching, heartbreaking, and heartwarming moments. This book also taught me some details about dementia, research, and realistic human behavior dealing with a loved one. This book is one of the best Weston Parker has written. I felt Jared and Amelia’s heart aches, confusion, joy and happiness. I enjoyed reading their journey.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Amelia and Jared. The author does a great job developing their relationship and takes you into their lives with a newfound and unwanted love. He moves the story fluidly with his descriptive scenes and delivers an entertaining story. Loved and recommend this boo/series!

This story has a lot of troupes I like to read and a gorgeous man on the cover. In one book, you’ve got a gorgeous billionaire playboy doctor and accidental pregnancy. The story stars Jared, and Amelia, whose a British research doctor. When he offers her to spend some time with him, she politely refuses and disappears but he see her,again when she boards his private jet on the way to his Key West laboratory.

Oh, Jared, you wonderful, jagged little pill! Amelia was just what you needed to bring you back to earth. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the playboy get gobsmacked by love in the form of a curvy, brilliant fellow doctor. Plus there's all the other Weston Parker trademarks: fabulous world-building, engaging storytelling, relatable characters, smoking-hot smexiness, a little angst and drama to keep things interesting, and a perfect HEA.

This is a sweet, fun, emotional, and passionate story.
I loved Amelia and Jared’s journey — they’re both complex, endearing, and perfect for each other.
The supporting characters are just as engaging.
I really enjoyed the slow-burn romance and the push and pull between them.

This is a brilliant read.
There is an instant attraction between Amelia and Jared but she's soon turned off as he thinks all women will fall for him.
She is now working for him and it isn't long before they can't stay away from each other but he doesn't do relationships.
Can he overcome his fear of relationships or will he lose her forever.
