“Troy,” said his Mother Tanya, “Don’t rely on luck only and please, think before you act.” The only problem was that Troy didn’t listen to her. “I'm the lucky monkey, nothing will ever happen to me”, he said.
After a few adventures, Troy learns to be careful and think before he act and not rely only on luck.
Author Efrat Haddi is taking young children on a journey with Troy while he learns a very important lesson.
" The Lucky Monkey " helps to teach children an important social skill that can make home life happier and school more successful.
It also provides parents, teachers, and counselors with an entertaining way to teach children why they should think before they act .
This well-written and inspiring story, delivers easy-to-digest education complemented by vibrant, delightful illustrations
This story may be ideal for reading to your kids at bedtime and enjoyable for the whole family as well! It is suitable as a read aloud book for preschoolers or a self-read book for older children.
This series is extremely boring and repetitious. In the first half of each book, the monkey does a bunch of stupid things that he knows better than to be doing. Of course, nothing bad ever happens to him, and his excuse is that he is extremely lucky. In the second half of each book, he repeats doing all the stupid things he should not be doing in the first place, and all the bad things that should have happened to him all along happen to him. Then, it ends with his mother telling him that sometimes we are lucky and sometimes we are not.
This book talks about a monkey named Troy, as he acts without first thinking about the consequences of his actions. His mom Tanya always tells him, ¨Think before you act¨. He thinks that nothing will ever happen to him, that he will always be lucky. At the end he will learn a lesson to think before acting. This book will teach children the importance to obey their parents, respect others, and why they should always think before acting.
I bought this book off Amazon for my 3 year old to read on my Kindle to her. It was an ok book. There was a lot of words per illustration so she would get kind of antsy. Maybe a better book for older children.
Nos pareció una historia monótona. Las ilustraciones no son llamativas y hace que los niños que apenas se inician en el mundo de la lectura pierdan el interés rápidamente.
There is a story, it is about a monkey that basically leaps before looking. I guess it is alright, there is a moral, but it was so poorly thought out, I wouldn't recommend it.
The monkey puts a flower on a hippo's nose, makes it sneeze, and his mommy says, "you're lucky you weren't infected." Really? I'm not impressed.
This is a great children's story. It tells a story of a monkey who is always getting into things he should not be. Even though he gets into everything he has yet to get into trouble. In the story they call him the lucky monkey because he never gets into trouble. I would read this to a classroom of first grade and below.
My child is three and loves reading along with me. She loves the story of the monkey and I love the meaning that goes along with the story line. I would recommend this book for any one with a small child.
This book is good for kids it teach them don't take things for granted and think before you act I recommend this book to everyone to read to there kids
