Oh, why?! I don't like sensei romance, but this one was not even good to top that. The girl was a mess, not really knowing what she wanted. It was obvious that her best friend was in love with her, but she just kept following her teacher everywhere. Didn't get the ending at all, and the twists were obvious and boring. Sorry for being meanie, but I expected more from it.

So Basically, Chocolate Cosmos (which are brown flowers that smell like chocolate) is about a girl who goes to the beach over summer break and meets this really cute guy. He was selling chocolate bananas and smelled like chocolate. They realize that they go to school together and she thinks it is fate. Then when they get back from break- she realizes that he is a TEACHER- one of HER teachers- and isn't interested in a relationship. Or is he?
This manga is really cute, they made a culinary baseball interest group just because they liked a manga about baseball and because the hot teacher is a good chef haha.

This review is for the Italian edition.
I love Nana Haruta's works, her art and almost all of her stories.
I like Chocolate Cosmos, although I prefer Love Berrish than this. :)
But still, it was a nice story.

Die all Zeit verbotene Kombination schlechthin.

The set-up for this manga was one of the most ridiculous things ever. This all happens within the first chapter or so, so it’s not really a spoiler. The main character Sayuki goes with her friends to the beach and meets this cute guy that works at a chocolate-covered banana stand after he throws something at her head. They wander off together and she paints his nails, but then he leaves without telling her his name. She goes back to school post-vacation only to learn that the guy is actually her home-economics teacher. It was bizarre. Personally, I thought there was something kind of weird about Hagiwara creeping on Sayuki given that he knew he was her teacher. It’s fine in stories where the two people hook up and then show up to class and realize that they are teacher/student. However, to knowingly hit on a high school student that is unaware of your job makes it seem like you’re some kind of pervert. Sayuki was asking what his name is and he just smiled and told her that they go to the same school. There was just something super sleazy about the way he was acting. I know this is only a manga, but he was one of those characters that I’d have reported if they came up to me in real life.
I was fairly indifferent towards this volume as a whole. I never really connected or got into the characters, so I was just pretty much reading this for fun. Aside from the main love story, the rest seemed like a jumble of random things that were picked from a jar. A huge part of the story was how Sayuki and her friends wanted to start a baseball club at their school, all with their own ulterior motives. There was this crazy ass lady on the club council that was rejecting their paperwork or whatever. Towards the end of the volume, she has this outburst that had me thinking about how awkward that would’ve been in to witness in real life. I thought that she had this grudge against Hagiwara because , but apparently, she . By that point, I was just going along with whatever zany thing the characters did. Overall, I feel like this is one of those mangas that are good if you’re looking for pure fluff and not wanting to think too seriously about what is going on.

I liked the sweet atmosphere and the idea of a story about first love and the confusing feelings that come with it. Sayuki was a nice character to follow, especially because the story focuses on her emotions and her desire to experience something special.
The relationship between Sayuki and Kyou had some interesting moments, but I felt that the story could have explored their feelings and characters more deeply.

Soooo, book number four of March 8, 2016 - clearly my students didn't give me enough to do. This was a delightfully gooey shoujo romance, however, so it wasn't all bad. Hopefully it will get a print release.
