The Three Treats to Tempt You bundle contains the first three books in the Treats to Tempt You contemporary romance series as follows:
Book 1: Treat with Caution A fun and sexy enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance. Both Tasha and Kole are confident their attraction is only physical. Both are going to get into trouble. But who will win the bet on Midsummer night?
Book 2: Treat her Right A fun and sexy friends-to-lovers contemporary romance. Maisey does her best to resist the best-looking guy in the whole of New Zealand. But when the chocolate starts to melt on Joss’s warm body, it seems only polite to offer to lick it off… And that’s where the problems start.
Book 3: A Rare Treat A poignant but sexy contemporary romance about finding love again after grief. Elle is more than happy to spend a few days showing gorgeous English teacher Stuart a few tricks of the trade to help him move on from his grief. But once she’s let the tiger out of his cage, it proves impossible to get him back in. And the new and improved Stuart isn’t going to let her go without a fight.
Warning: it’s not only the weather that’s hot and sultry in these contemporary romances. Be warned. Adults only.
USA Today bestselling author Serenity Woods writes feel-good romances full of friends, family, and falling in love. Most of her stories are set in Godzone, aka Aotearoa New Zealand, where she lives.
A great group of friends challenging each other then suddenly sparks flew as they paired off. Also liked the couples banter as well the heat between the sheets (other convenient surfaces). Loved the scenic description & bird calls. It added to emotionally charged or contemplative moments. Looking forward to more from this author.
A little bit of heartwarming romance and a lot of hot sex. If this is what you dig, then get this bundle plus the two other books in the series. Not as wild as the Shades of Grey books (no S&M or any of that sort), but I don't think there was a single chapter without a sex scene here.
I truly enjoyed all three stories in this box set. The last story with Elle and Stuart was my favorite of the three. I'm really looking forward to reading Caitlin and Fox's story. They are some firecrackers and very funny.
Treat with Caution - Friends to Lovers 4* Tasha and Kole have been known each other for 11 years, since his younger sister and her became best friends aged 13 and they have teased and taunted each other for years. Tasha is annoyed with Kole, they both want to lease the same shop for their businesses but Kole got in first and refuses to budge. During the slanging match, which becomes personal, Tasha says that he would fall for her before she would ever fall for him, things escalate and a bet is born that whomever falls for the other (to be judged by their friends) in the next 8 days will win the shop. What follows is sex, sex and more sex. Note: Strong language.
Treat Her Right - Hot, Sexy and Emotional 5* This is Maisy and Joss' story. Joss is mired in responsibilities; his sister is trying (rather unsuccessfully) to cope with her husband having walked out on her and their four young children; his mother is wheelchair bound and her carer, his father is suffering from dementia; and he is in a new doctor's job trying to build up his reputation and patient list. The last thing he needs, or can cope with is a relationship. Maisy can see no sign of the old, wicked and naughty Joss; he is dull, dull, dull. He needs to lighten up, have some fun and not worry so much. She takes each day as it comes and, despite struggling with depression, makes sure to surround herself with colour and sparkle and extracts as much humour and joy from the world around her as possible. They are old friends, complete opposites and nothing will ever come of a fling between them, or will it? I really found myself rooting for these two and cried buckets before the HFN ending. Note: Strong language.
A Rare Treat - Poignant and Sexy 5* Stuart has suppressed his passionate nature for so long that it has become a straight jacket that he is unable to free himself from but over the course of one long weekend he is healed by the beautiful and very sexy Elle. Note: Strong language.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
Since I read these all in a row I found myself noticing how the stories were quite similar with every relationship having an "oh no I love x person! How did this happen?!" moment. But overall it was some light enjoyable reading. Here's a summary of my thoughts on each book:
Book 1: The bet about the shop was silly. Kole had signed the paperwork. The fact that Tasha thought she was entitled to it was ridiculous. But I admit they were cute together.
2. I didn't like the comparisons of Maisey to Joss's ex Ana e.g. Ana had small boobs (and Joss prefers Maisey's big ones FYI). And Ana didn't like certain things in the bedroom (but hello Maisey). That felt a bit unnecessary. But it was good to see Maisey's character growth and see her dealing with the loss of her brother better.
This boxset gives you the first three books in Serenity Wood's Treats to Tempt You series. It's set in the north end of New Zealand where the author lives herself. She obviously loves it there as this comes across in her descriptions of the area.
They make a lovely summer read and that's exactly what I did - I devoured the whole lot in a week while on a quiet camping holiday.
Beautiful (but sometimes insecure) girls and hot (but slightly insecure) men, friends for years, all with their individual issues, but all with a secret (or deeply buried) lust/love for one of the opposite sex. Cue many hot and steamy moments.
The first three book in the Treats to Tempt You series. Treat with Caution the love story of Tasha and Kole. Treat Her Right the love story of Maisey and Joss. A Rare Treat the love story of Elke and Stuart. Three love story that happen in NZ the book circle around four girls who own a sweet shop. The first two I would give 1 star each and three 5 stars.
Loved all the characters. They played off each other well and the chemistry between them was unmistakable. Each different storyline was well constructed and believable with the characters developing added depth as the book progressed. I came across this author by chance and have working my way through their catalogue. Give her a go you won't be disappointed if you are a fan of romance.
Serenity Woods has done it again. Three wonderful books to delight and excite you. Her descriptions of New Zealand make you feel like you've just come back from vacation. Lots of sexy action, but tastefully done.
An enjoyable trio of stories. I particularly enjoyed how the sneak peak at the story for the next book wasn't just the first chapter...instead it was a a scene or two that set the tone for the story to come.
These love stories rock with no no sense heroines and heroes who are flawed,. Real people willing to face their fears.. great reads for the modern no nonsense, sexual females unafraid of passion and compassion. Loved the booksm
I really enjoyed reading this set of books. I could hardly put it down until I was finished reading all three books in the set. Now I need to purchase the rest of the books in the series.
This collection of books are all stand alone but many of the characters show up in later books as well. The characters are complicated but rich in skills and they, family and friends in this special group, empower each other, laugh and cry together. Wow.Well done!
Overcoming the obstacles of self-doubt, lack of self-confidence made each story a unique read. Truly enjoyed reading it. Could use a read through for a few errors but nothing to horrible!
I absolutely loved these first 3 books in the Treats to Tempt You series. In the first 3 books, I absolutely loved Stuart and Elle's story and would place it a little higher than Tasha & Kole and totally give both of them 5 stars. I enjoyed Maisey and Joss as well and give it 4 stars.
I have read and enjoyed other books by serenity woods. I loved the humor and camaraderie between the eight main characters. I especially loved getting the first 3 installments free. I am also excited to finish the rest of the series.
I find it amazing that 3 friends in New Zealand find love with 3 girlfriends. It's also interesting how the men are all we endowed. They've all had many partners but none have really been in love. The story of Elle and Stuart is quite interesting, but in my mind not really thst believable.
Really like tobrwad romances set in other countries. Really enjoyed reading about finding l8ve for these three couples. Each had adversities to overcome but did
