A saccharine confession. A sticky end. Can Ruby and Bee solve the case of the missing corpse before killing becomes a trend? And the attendees of his funeral find the wrong body in his coffin.

When Bee’s detective boyfriend is accused of flubbing the investigation, she knows it’s time to step in. Ruby and Bee are on the case, and this time, they may have scooped out more caramel than they can handle.

Bee and Ruby are settling in Mystery, Maine. Bee is enjoying the festival when the Mayor seems to be choking and collapses from an apparent heart attack. Bee believes it is murder and Betty, the mayor's wife, asks her to investigate. The police do not believe it is suspicious and won't investigate. There are varied suspects, the mayor's estranged daughter, Tamara, the deputy mayor. Things heat up at the Mayor's funerual when the casket pops open and the Mayor's body is missing.
Rosie gives us a wonderful mystery in weaving through the suspects and where is the mayor's body. A delightful cosy that will keep you guessing until the end.

What a crazy case and I sure didn’t see that reveal coming at the end! I was glad to see this series return since the last we left Bee and Ruby, there was no baby Emmy yet. I love the family they created with Bee and now Bee had a guy she really liked too. The dynamic of the physical investigation wasn’t quite the same without Ruby, but being a mom now made her lots more cautious. Although the same old brainstorming with Ruby and Jamie was there which was pretty cool.

Mystery, a good name for the town

I am happy to read another Bee & Ruby cozy mystery. I enjoy each story. Bee is mostly on her own in this one while Ruby is on maternity leave. Many mysteries and lots of suspects for Bee to wade through in a way only she can. Pick up a copy to show it all works out.

This was a good one! Lots of surprises at the end! While Ruby is being a new momma, Bee takes the situation into her own hands. She uses her police background to systematically track down suspects and bring the mysteries to a conclusion. Looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed this book>. However I didn’t enjoy the detailed descriptions of a funeral home and a funeral.
