I'm not all too sure what was going on in those longer story arc with sexy messy art. But those one-shots, sort of alternate Durham Red things, they were fun.
for me, this was kind of the real entry into adult comics It's dark and gritty, but intelligent and funny and sexy and violent...
the art - partially digital - is beautifuol and amazing and the story a bit above the average comic book
While it is a DC Strontium Dogs spin off and as such related to Jonny Alpha / Judge Dredd, it has literally nothing to do with that universe (apart from the main character) which imo opinion is a good thing as I am not a fan of those. Though I am not a big fan of vampire stuff, Red such such a cool character that it does work for me. There is some great woldbuilding going on and amazing concepts and ideas going into the book: a dystopian, totalitarian religious theocracy, mutants, cybords, time and space travel, steroid pumped boys and big boobed girls and goth fetish gear, an ueber sexy vampire heroine kicking arse - what's not to like?
