It’s such a beautiful book from start to end. The way the story’s told you get a glimpse of every detail and direction of what’s going on along with getting to connect with different characters.

Rune and Alora are some of my favorite characters I had the opportunity to explore and read about the character growth for both of them from the first book, and the second book is phenomenal it’s told perfectly the author did a great job with explaining, and showing us how they can grow.

Both characters are just… amazing 🥰you can tell they’re made for each other. It’s like that saying you can’t have the moon without the sun that’s what they are in my opinion they go hand in hand it’s a package deal at this point lol AND! They’re so cute and protective of one another who doesn’t love that?

This story is packed with suspense, action, laughter, heartfelt moments, love, sisterhood, found family, adventure, expected and unexpected journeys, and healing which you get to experience fully with all the details that the author includes in her book.

Overall it’s one of the best books I had the opportunity to read. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a romance and fantasy reader even if you’re not into fantasy give it a try it’s very easy to follow BUT you have read the first book in the series which is also AMAZING!

If you enjoy vibes like:

Acotar
TOG
Fouth wing
Quicksilver

Then this is something you’ll wanna add to your TBR and read.

A huge thank you to the author MH Bird for giving me the opportunity to be one of the arc readers for the 2nd book in the series And to beta part some chapters of this masterpiece it’s an experience I’ll never forget it. most of all thank you for taking a chance on me it’s been a privilege to be apart of all of this

Review of Forelda a kingdom of ice ❤️❤️❤️by M.H. Bird

“When you look to the stars, think of me and know I will be looking up to feel you with me, too.”

“ I will destroy them all.”

“Just admiring what’s mine.”

“I want you to always tell me—I want everything. I want all of you, and I want you to always run to me when you are hurting. I let you down…,”

I am so grateful to have received a Arc opt of Forelda ❤️ I have absolutely ate it up!! And left no crumbs. I am so in love with this story and all the characters 💓 big shout out to Haldor who I have adored since book one ( Valice). Haldors POV was so good. Especially with Tess. Book one Valice really left us on the edge of a cliff and returning back with Forelda straight away being hit with emotions of sadness and then happiness and anxiety I felt like I was on the best emotional rollacoaster that at the end I think my heart stopped for a minute. I loved the plot twist and going to see the Valkyrie. Alora and Rune are just the best and I have absolutely loved how mush they have grown together and how strong they have become. Their loyalty and bravery and how this entire story has just been filled with amazing characters and in a beautiful world. It’s just a whole good vibes story and I highly recommend reading Valice and Forelda ❤️❤️

I LOVED this duology!!

I feel like if you’re looking to dip your toe into fantasy/vikings this is a great place to start.

I think Valice was my favourite out of the two books though 🫣 just because it’s where it all began and I fell in love with the characters!

I’m just obsessed with the characters and the vibes they give off.

I’m so glad Haldor found love 🥹

Haldor was my favourite in book one and now that spot is shared with Bragi ❤️

It was really fast paced, there was new enemies introduced, new things to overcome. I really enjoyed it.

Couple of honourable mentions which made me laugh:

‘Regina George of Fadir’ 😂😂😂
‘Rune riding on Bragis back’ 😂😂

Overall I think this was a great way to wrap up the duology! 4 star read for me!! ❤️❤️❤️

Baby, let me tell you M.H. Bird has done it again!! I, of course, had no doubt that Forelda would be a bombshell of a book!!

Alora is the girl who carries the weight of the world on her shoulders and if it’s even possible she’s faced with a bigger, more serious uncertainty. With the strength & support of those she loves demanding she leans on them she’s beginning to learn that she doesn’t have to carry the weight of the world alone anymore.

Fantasy, romantasy, and Viking lovers this one is for you!

Action packed, epic battles, multiple villains, high stakes, magic, love, power, etc. This book has everything!!!!

Alora & Rune are elite! The bond between them strengthens & grows beyond measure. They are the powerhouse couple everyone wants on their side!

The words on these pages come alive & pull you into their world!

You won’t just read Forelda, you will live Forelda!

Loooooooved it just like the first one. Rune and Alora are so stinkin cute. I very much appreciated the different points of view and that the story line was easy to follow. Thinking this is a world I'll probably dive back into when my tbr isnt calling.

Words can’t even express how grateful I am to have been asked to Beta Read this absolute masterpiece — the perfect ending to the duology. I honestly feel honoured.

Watching Rune & Alora’s relationship grow?? Everything. That line Rune says early on:
“Should have known, she was so willing to sacrifice herself all the time as if she didn’t know how much she was worth.”
Like??? Crying. The tenderness, the depth, the ache. Ughhh.

And then Haldor calling Tess “my little muffin”?? 😭 I was screaming, crying, throwing up — pure squealing, kicking-feet energy.

Chapter 13’s ending?! Literal perfection. Otheinn’s whole energy?? Obsessed. Give me more morally grey chaos, I know I shouldn't like him but I couldn't help it!

Also, can we talk about Bragi?? The absolute ICON. He totally stole the show — officially my favourite character in the entire series.

And my favourite quote of the whole book
:
“The world was poisoned with monsters long before the real ones leaked through.”

M.H. Bird, thank you! I cannot wait to see what future books you bring out 🖤

Thank you so much to MH Bird for allowing me the incredible privilege to beta read this book.

These characters became like family and I felt what they felt, mourned when they mourned, fought what they fought, and loved when they loved.

The adventure and high stakes were to die for in this one. I was on the edge of my seat until the final moments. And I LOVE that in a book.

I loved learning about the characters and their backstories. I loved watching them grow and become who they were meant to be. I also LOVED when our characters let loose and were a bit unhinged.

The battles and action were key points and were so well written. This world and the good people within in the world were incredible. I loved it.

This is a true adventure, with just the right amount of romantic energy, and a story worth reading.

I highly recommend this book and series as a whole. I will always be a fan of MH Bird. 💛

I have loved reading this second book to the Kingdom of Ice series! It was fun to continue to watch the characters develop and their relationships grow. The plot was really fun to follow and I really connected to the main characters. Seeing Alora and Runes relationship continue was amazing after the way that Valice ended.
