This was a super short read at only 90 pages but man was it sapphic, sweet, AND spicy!
I usually like my romance a little… dark, but I loved this so much. This particular book follows Calista and her two best friends, Sarah and Bree, as they visit a new Haunted Attraction where Bree’s sister Justine works as a haunt actor.
The scene between Justine and Calista is just 😮💨🥵 and I’m absolutely here for the spicy scene in the haunted attraction 🤣
Sage does a great job at writing something that’ll make your heart pound and your knees weak in such few pages.
100% recommend if you’re looking for something short, sweet, spicy, sapphic, and halloweenie 👌🏻

Super quick sapphic connection
This was a fun quick read perfect for the fall season! Sweet with some delicious spice.
Calista and Justine have known one another for what seems like forever, however they never grew too close or acknowledged any attraction due to a pledge made from Justine’s younger sister and Calista’s best friend…no dating.
While working a scare house, Justine sees an opportunity to maybe get a little closer to someone she’s always noticed but stayed away from out of respect. She plots her chance and executes her desire…read and see what happens!

I’m a sucker for the best friend’s sibling trope, especially if it’s sapphic. I really enjoy when scare actors or haunted houses are in the books I read, especially around Halloween. I think it’s the perfect way to get into the spooky mood. I definitely will be reading the rest of the books in this series because they are just so interesting and fun. The characters especially Calista and Justine have such fun chemistry, and I can’t wait to see the other couples in the books

First, I have to thank Sage for the ARC of Scream and for bringing back to some fun and crazy memories of our hometown!
I cannot put into words how fun this novella is! It is PACKED in just under 90 pages with the fun of spooky season and the heat of that first time with a long time crush you know you shouldn’t have. Justine and her confidence had me drooling, I immediately understood Calista’s intrigue with her. Having that forbidden love aspect was so juicy, knowing they could get caught, knowing her best friend said she did not want them together. It was SO good! It was perfectly paced and I’m excited to see more of them throughout the series.

Hot vampire queen who we can’t have? Uhm smash? Duh.
This novella was so quick! (Literally like 8 chapters) and I want more. Like rn. Yes yes. I love Justine she is such a queen she knows her worth and KNOWSSS how to satisfy her women. I also love how Justine and Calista was being so understanding of Bree feelings and didn’t go behind her back (until YK YK) but still I loved it so much.
Sage never fails to make stories with beautiful friendships and spiciest scenes 🤭🌶️

This quick novella had me screaming for more!
A haunted house and a vampire queen…I’m in. 🥵 Add in the fact that the vampire queen is your best friend’s sister who has been off limits…I want to be first in line!!!
Much like Calista, I’d gladly bow down to Justine any day. But Justine had other plans 😏
This read may be short with a slightly spooky vibe, but it’s also hottt 🥵🫠 Plus the post haunted house relationship building for Calista and Justine is very cute.

Scream was such a fun bite sized spooky sapphic romance. From the dedication, I was hooked! I really related to Calista’s gay panic. And I love Justine’s force of personality. I wish I could’ve spent more time with Callista and Justine, but I’m looking forward to their appearance in the other Haunted Midwest Hookup Series!

Quick and Fun
This was a nice pallet cleanser in between books. Wasn’t too long and got directly to the plot. I would love to see more about each of these characters and hope the remaining books are about them. If not, would like a longer book about them. Will definitely look up more stories by this author.

UGH i loved this short story. The characters were well described despite the story’s length. The writer was able to immerse you and make you root for two girls you barely met 15 minutes ago. It was super sweet, short and a little spicy. I will definitely give the other books in the series a read as well. LET’S GO LESBIANS LET’S GO

I will say this novella was actually pretty fun to read. I mean a haunted house and a lot of jump scares. Then you can a vampire queen who is looking for her next pray....well when the vampire queen is your best friends sister and kind of off limit, I think a haunted house is the perfect place to get lost and live out your deepest desires.

I loved everything about this book, if you want a short novella with a cozy fall feel , mixed with a haunted house and some heat then this should be your next read . 10/10 loved every second of it
