After the collapse of America, small communities continue struggling to survive

Some communities survived with intelligence and knowledge to lead the people. Others survived at the will of strong people who could bully and enslave their people. The rest of communities were forcibly absorbed by the the stronger armies of thugs and criminals, or were destroyed and the people killed or enslaved. The lucky groups that avoided the worst were banding together to resist the attempts to overpower their communities.
Great characters lead their community to freedom and learn the skills necessary to survive with the failure of the electric grid and broken supply chains. In 2038 one group in the Pacific Northwest is thriving because they were lead by a family of people knowledgeable about preparing for and living with the exact circumstances currently faced by their village. They were prepared to resist the attempts to take what they had. They were prepared to resist and resist they did!
This is the end of an amazing series and is a great read!

I wish there were to be more

What a great series! It got a bit confusing with names and factions.
But, all and all an excellent read.
