Oh, good God. What a mess.

It is possible that HarperCollins had not decided to cancel the series BEFORE accepting this piece of crap by Karle Dickerson, but they definitely knew when they published this that the series was, so to speak, deep in the stretch.

So, with only five books left to go, they greenlight yet another book that completely focuses on a minor character. What a waste.

The title is, unfortunately, only metaphorical. This most minor of minor Thoroughbred characters goes through an anti-horse phase. So, a series based on horses, has hardly any horse action in it.

Gee, thanks.

This is predictable junk that you've probably read a thousand times before. Absolutely no shockers here ... except that I was dumb enough to buy this off of eBay.

Poor Sterling ... abandoned by everyone at one time or another. She was one of the best horse characters in the series, and even her writers treated her like dirt.

Just like how most Thoroughbred owners treat their own horses.
