In an instant the world changed, and the Earth became the battlefield of the gods in their Great Game…
Thomas Grimshaw, the Spellfletcher, has proven he can thrive in the Great Game, but the mysterious murder of several priests has shown that the gods aren’t all playing their game fairly. The Spellfletcher can reap huge reward for bringing the killer to divine justice, but to do so he’ll have to forge an unlikely alliance with a deadly and beautiful Duelist, Selena.
Perhaps Selena is the key to finding the murderer. Perhaps Selena is the murderer.
I enjoyed the first one, despite the overly horny MC. With this one, we get introduced to one of the worst characters I've read recently - Selena. I am considering dropping the book entirely due to her, she is insufferable and now the MC is feeling things for her and I was looking forward to him moving on from her.
I will continue for now and update as I go, but right now, oof.
edit: yeah. I can't take another half of the book with her. I'm done.
like it predecessor good plot line, concisely told with no x rated events. The only thing not enjoyable is the authors obviously fake name. One has to wonder why such a good author chooses to hid him/her self so thoroughly.
