Her soul died beneath the waves…

Rani Whitmore used to be human. She used to be a lot of carefree, happy, safe. Now her reflection is barely recognizable, her beloved escape is her personal hell, and her skin fucking glows when she’s upset.

Trapped at a secluded beach house all summer, she needs to learn how to control her new powers if she ever wants a chance at going home again. Enter one blonde, cocky, presumptuous witch who’s supposed to tutor her on all things supernatural. Ignoring him is easy at first, but as her panic attacks eat away at both her mind and body, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that she needs his help. Somehow, his touch anchors her, but the thought of letting him in is terrifying.

How can she seal the cracks in her armor when he's always right there prying them open again?

He’s the monster so no one else has to be…

Ruthless interrogator and chosen second to the witch faction heir, Ezra Alantes is really fucking good at his job. Usually. But one semester from hell was all it took to make him question his abilities and whether or not he’s the best person to protect those he loves.

The one upside? He’s found his bond. Human turned siren, Rani is enticing and frustratingly defensive; a true mirror to his battered soul. What’s more, she needs his help, and training her this summer might just be his opportunity at a second chance—self doubt and loathing aside.

Throw together some vengeful enemies, a spicy hellion intent on escaping, and enough sexual tension to keep him permanently hard…convincing Rani to give him a shot while trying to keep her alive should be easy…right?

Obligatory 5 stars because I wrote this 😂 Just like every other book, I think this is my favorite one yet, and not just because Ezra is the most sarcastic, loyal, ice daddy there is. He truly was so much fun to write and Rani holds my whole heart. I love these two together and their journey. If you weren't a fan of book 1, you might honestly like this relationship better!

There's still not a massive world build, this was a palate cleanser series for me. So, there's just enough to be interesting but that's not the point of the story. Their relationship is. The romance. Definitely the smut....and the butt stuff.

ARC Review

Dark, magnetic, and emotionally fierce. Siren Bound is a story of trauma, loyalty, laughter, magic, and rediscovery that cuts deep.

Rani is powerful, but her true journey isn’t just about magic it’s about rediscovering herself after trauma. E.M Rinaldi paints her panic attacks and anxiety with stunning honesty, allowing Rani’s growth to unfold slowly and authentically. She’s angry, guarded, vulnerable and still learning that being broken doesn’t mean being weak. All the while trying to come to terms with the fact she is no longer human. She’s a fire cracker with fiery red hair to match. Watching her fight her way back to herself was one of the most powerful elements of the book.

And then there's Ezra. Equal parts golden retriever and protective Doberman, Ezra is a force of nature loyal, charming, hilarious, and, when necessary, a straight up murder machine. His devotion to Rani is both heart melting and terrifying in the best way. Then there’s the nicknames. Oh my gods, the nicknames. Ezra’s nonstop stream of ridiculous, affectionate, laugh out loud pet names for Rani is pure serotonin. His nicknames for her had me cackling, then clutching my chest as he turned deadly in the blink of an eye to protect her. He doesn’t just love. He chooses her, again and again, through light and darkness.

We also can’t have a review without talking about Ezra’s Ice Daddy energy. Because Ezra is Ice Daddy incarnated. Wielding ice magic that chills to the bones and shatters enemies without mercy. His power isn’t just an extension of himself, it’s the perfect reflection of who he is; beautiful, dangerous, and terrifyingly controlled… until someone threatens Rani. Then? Pray you’re not in his path. Also, his ice magic is just the thing you need in the bed room.

Over all I’m IN LOVE with this book. The banter was chief kiss and the smut was perfection and if you couldn’t tell Ezra has my heart.

If you loved Bonded Nightmare, book 1, then you’ll love this book just as much if not more.

Now go on! I know you want to. Go on and read it! The cover is gorgeous and you won’t be able to put it down!

✨ARC REVIEW✨ Hi besties!! I had the absolute pleasure of being selected by the amazing @emrinaldi to read her arc of Siren Bound! I gave this book 4/5🌟 AND 4/5🌶️ (not for the amount of spice but for the quality of spice). This is book 2 to Bonded Nightmare! My review for Bonded Nightmare is below but it was 4/5🌟 and 4/5🌶️. Siren Bound was JUST AS GOOD!!! Ezra our MMC had me laughing my literal ass off. He is funny and witty and sarcastic and a great time!! Our FMC Rani is one tough cookie. It takes her a while to work through her trauma from book one but boy does she kick ass!!! I had so much fun reading this book!!! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spicy good time!! The spice was definitely spicing in this book besties let me tell you!!! You do have to read Bonded Nightmare first in order to understand the full plot but trust that book was so much fun too!! I had so many favorites quotes from this one see below and Ezra and his endless nicknames were hysterical as well!!! ❌SPOILERS BELOW❌

First the hysterical nicknames:

🪼“And you, my little moody muffin,”

🪼 “…my little sea slug.”

Some hysterical lines:

✨”I blocked another of her attempts to squeeze past my arm. No can do, baby. As a wise philosopher once said, ‘This place about to blow.’ Did you just quote Ke $ ha?”

✨”“Vampires,” I supplied. “How Buffy got them so very wrong and now my teenage dreams of being ravished in a graveyard crypt by a brooding bleach-blond are irrevocably ruined.”

✨“I don’t embellish, baby. I deliver.”

This was a fun read! I've been eagerly awaiting the next book in this universe following on from Bonded Nightmare.

In this book, we see the ramifications of what happened to Rani (FMC) in the last book although, you don't need to read the last book to understand the events of this book. Ezra (MMC) is so into her and cares so much about her safety. He is patient with her, more patient than I could have been 💀, and it was nice to see him not force his decisions onto her even if it was the best choice for Rani's safety.

Speaking of safety... the only thing that irritated me about this book is the fact that Rani does. not. listen. It was so hard for me to give her the benefit of the doubt because I know Rani has gone through something so traumatic and her entire life has taken a different path than the one she had planned for herself. She is having to live a life that she did not choose which is, obviously, extremely disorienting and traumatic given how this all happened to her. However, I just wish she listened more, especially when it was in regard to her own safety 😅

All in all, I did still enjoy this book. I liked the world and I liked the characters together and their interactions with each other. I do feel like in terms of the conflict and the politics in the background was outweighed by the characters but, I didn't think that was a bad thing.

I don't know if there are any more books set for this world but I'd be happy to read the next one.

Scale:

⭐️⭐️ - shit, but whatever
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - meh, could've been better
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - lit 👅
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - loved it, inject this shit into my veins 🤪

I knew Ezra had a lot of potential, but my God, he surpassed my expectations. He was so caring, thoughtful but at the same time pushy and challenging when Rani needed him to be.

And Rani, she was so broken at first, everything she had gone through at the end of Bonded Nightmare left her with deep scars and an even deeper trauma. I loved the way Ezra supported her, even though she thought he was doing everything in his power to not make it easier.

I liked how this book was character-focused, like Siren Bound, liked the banter between Rani and Ezra. I would have liked it to be a bit more action-packed towards the end. We only saw the politics around the supernatural world towards the last few chapters, while most of the novel was focused on Rani’s healing and getting stronger.

Thank you E.M for the ARC for Siren Bound. All opinions are my own.

“I made the choice to live, and that was exactly what I was going to do”

I loved the first book and adored Rani and Eryn’s friendship, So it was no surprise that I loved this book as well.
To me this book felt like a mix of dark romance and rom com and I ate it up!! Romance is the main plot while some conflict in their world is more of the subplot! I was giggling and smiling at this book the majority of the time I read it. Ezra and Rani’s love hate relationship and banter are hilarious and they truly are perfect matches for each other. I enjoyed this read and glad it got me out of a very looong reading slump <3.

What can I say but I'm OBSESSED! Ezra is literal perfection and I could NOT get enough of him. To the story though. I already knew I wanted to read this based on the last book so when I was able to receive an advanced copy I screamed with excitement. This book did not disappoint with not only the plot but the spicy scenes. I fully intend on reading this again because well Ezra is so swoon worthy 🫠 and let's just say I baked some chocolate chip cookies after reading this. IYKYK 😆

I was so excited to get the ARC for Siren Bound and it did not disappoint! Just like with Bonded Nightmare, you get a little bit of world building, a great amount of spice and angst, and WHAT IS BETTER than a man who will go to the ends of the earth or turn into a “monster” to protect you?

Ezraaaaaaaa the man that you are.

Highly recommend this book for anyone who needs an easy read with loveable characters, some spice and some magical aspects all rolled together!

Thank you E. M. Rinaldi for this highly anticipated ARC!

I absolutely adored Bonded Nightmare (already read it twice and now strongly considering reading it again hehe) and squealed when I saw my request was approved for Siren Bound.

First off, THIS COVER?!?! Gorgeous. I thought nothing could top the first book cover but when I saw this one, I honestly could not decide which one I love more. Obviously going to get myself a physical copy cause this deserves all the commotion on my shelves.

This book had me cackling literally from the start at the author note page. It was such a wild and addictive ride that had me hooked the whole time. There was never a dull moment and it was such a satisfying sequel (and conclusion?) to this series. It was actually quite wholesome too and had so many heartwarming and swoonworthy moments.

There was actually more plot and character work than I expected but I (clearly) enjoyed it nonetheless. There is some light worldbuilding and politics but it is so easy to get into and really enriched the overall romance storyline by raising the stakes more.

Really commendable writing in this book, especially the first few chapters where we get a glimpse into what the FMC was going through. It was so visceral and raw that my heart ached for her. I also loved the MMC's personality and all the little nicknames he had for her but he himself, was quite multifaceted and not just a cocky and badass ice daddy lol. Their romance was kinda slow burn too which works in their favour because I could see how they built a deep and meaningful relationship before their bond really took hold.

Side note: the last chapter had me really worried our FMC might get an infection but you know what, hell yeah. Love that for her and there's probably no such thing as those pesky infections in their world anyways.

Personally, I felt the main focus of the story was accepting and loving yourself. Our FMC and MMC both have different personal struggles and challenges that affect the way they perceive themselves but through their bond and genuine connection to one another, they both work towards healing themselves and are stronger together for it.

And lastly, the spice was *chefs kiss* as expected.

Would read again, as well as anything else E. M. Rinaldi writes!

* Thank you, E.M. Rinaldi for the ARC! *

Siren Bound is told through dual POV following Rani Whitmore and Ezra Alantes about a month after the events of Bonded Nightmare. Rani was been turned into a siren and after she had been unintentionally dragged into the world of supernaturals. They decide that Rani, unable to control her new powers, will spend the summer at a beach house with Ezra. The two work together to work through Rani's trauma of being drowned and Ezra's self-worth.

Like the previous book, this book is heavily character-driven. This book does not shy away from the trauma, which is portrayed with visceral intensity. If you're sensitive to depictions of PTSD or panic attacks, be warned: I found some scenes triggering. That said, I deeply appreciated the way the story handled healing and growth—it never felt glossed over or romanticized. The romance is also a slow burn, I loved their dynamic with Rani being stubborn and defiant (a pinky promise means nothing to her), while Ezra, for all his cinnamon-roll sweetness, harbors a darker, more possessive edge. Additionally, the sea-themed nicknames he invents for Rani remind me a lot of Geraldine from Zodiac Academy.

There's also light worldbuilding and politics playing out in the background. Though Ezra and Rani are largely removed from that, aside from the occasional attack from the djinn, as they concentrate on their personal journey. Until there's no option but to join Kai and Eryn to stop the djinn. I won’t spoil what happens beyond that.

Overall, I seriously enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. If you’re a fan of character-driven fantasy, fated mates, forced proximity, and slow-burn romance with emotional depth and sizzling chemistry, this one’s for you.

First, let me just say I was completely over the moon when this ARC graced my inbox. I have been waiting for this book for nearly a year and have been cheering Rinaldi on since I devoured Bonded Nightmare and saw that Siren Bound was in the works.

On to the review! Short and sweet: I loved it. Big shocker. I know. Read on for the ramblings of a fan.

I was so enthralled with Rani’s healing, Ezra’s wooing and the drama with the tribunal that when it came to the spice I didn't care! I could've skipped it completely and just soaked in the plot. Which is funny because Rinaldi markets this book as if it was simple smut. Girl! You wrote a freaking FANTASY romance that lives rent free in my head no nakedness required.

I loved how trusting Rani was with Ezra, and how he worked to earn that trust through the whole book. He was waving green flags everywhere. And seriously his baking and cooking skills? Would've been love at first chocolate chip cookie for me.

They both were very strong willed characters and I really enjoyed the push and pull through the novel. Rani wasn't a helpless maiden. Even though she needed a lot of support from Ezra. He needed a lot of support from a feisty siren, even though his traumas were more subtle than hers appeared. It was so satisfying to see how seamlessly they worked together in high stress situations before they even realized it.

The tribunal: fuck yes! I'm so glad that it took a bigger part in the book than in Bonded Nightmare. I was really hoping for that! I'm not going to say anything more because that is juicy plot that deserves to be experienced first hand.

In conclusion, this book is obviously getting the most enthusiastic recommendation from me. A five star read with a generous helping of chili peppers. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

First off, huge thanks to E.M. Rinaldi for the ARC—I’m beyond grateful to have had the chance to read this early because I’ve been waiting for this book ever since I devoured Bonded Nightmare… and let me tell you, it was 1000% worth the wait.

Siren Bound is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite so far. It’s everything I crave in supernatural romance: emotional depth, sizzling tension, complex characters, and a story that lingers long after the final page.

Rani’s transformation—from a shattered, glowing mess to someone learning to reclaim her power—is written with so much raw honesty and care. I felt every moment of her struggle, her strength, and her fear. And Ezra? Yeah, he’s exactly the kind of morally grey, fiercely loyal love interest that ruins you for all others. The bond between them is messy, magnetic, and completely addictive.

Their chemistry is unreal—sharp, slow-burn, and filled with that delicious push-pull dynamic I live for. Add in some snark, soul-deep trauma, and an undercurrent of hope, and you’ve got a love story that absolutely sings.

Also: the world-building? So good. The magic system, the siren lore, the stakes—it all blends seamlessly with the emotional storytelling….and the spice? Not gonna add more, you have to read it.

If you love character-driven fantasy with edge, spice, and heart, Siren Bound is a must-read.

E.M. Rinaldi, thank you again for the ARC and for writing a book that completely wrecked and healed me in the best way. This one owns my heart. 💙

Okay, it’s seriously a toss up between Kai and Ezra now… what can I say? They are both enamored and obsessed with their bonds and go out of their way to make sure that their gals are taken care of!

Rani’s life is no longer the one she has lived her whole sheltered life… She is brought back to life after the djinn toss her overboard, literally like she is nothing to them. Anyone that experienced that kind of death is sure to have some serious PTSD, and it is definitely to the detriment of Rani… she fears all forms of water but she has been “reborn” as a Siren. She has a strong thrall and has to learn to control her new magick to ensure her survival at this second chance at life.

All the while Ezra in all his glory is there for her every step of the way. He’s encouraging and tries to make light of the situation the best he can. After realizing/feeling that Rani is his bond he is more attentive, patient, and the pull that Rani already had on him is now ten fold. But will they be able to complete their bond with the pressure of the djinn faction leader Soloman coming for her and her kind?

The fire and chemistry between Rani and Ezra is fun to watch with their bickering and then coming together. Ezra following like a sweet love struck puppy while Rani works through her emotions - golden retriever all the way.

I enjoyed this read so much and I look forward to hopefully more books from Rinaldi!

Rani and Ezra.

“Rani had no idea what it meant to be supernatural. She knew nothing about her magick and how it related to her inner strength, nothing about bonds and fates and our laws.”

Rani is a siren and has no idea what exactly she is, her capabilities, and how to control her magic. She’s also terrified of the water and for a good reason. She will die if she cannot get over her fear of the water.

Ezra knows she’s his mate but also knows her depression and anxiety and lack of control needs mending before he tells her what she is to him. But he’ll do anything to help her.

This is a dislike to lovers
Banter filled
Magic and fated mates
Sassy heroine
Slow burn
Forced proximity
🧊 Daddy

Once she knows? Denial.

“I would crawl through whatever trials she needed to push aside her fears and see that nothing in this world would make me turn away. I saw her, saw the darkness and rage and even the buried sunlight fighting to once again be free, and I wanted every single bit of it.”

It’s a push and pull relationship with these two.
“My little sea slug.”

With all the relationship buildup, we have the djinn after them and it’s a race against time to get Rani in control of her magic.

Oh… and the spice is spicin’. 🍑 🧊 🪄 🔥

I highly recommend starting with book one. You’ll understand other characters and the entire storyline better!

I was thrilled to read Siren Bound as an e-ARC after LOVING Book 1 (Bonded Nightmare) last year. If you haven’t read Bonded Nightmare yet - what are you waiting for?! While it’s possible to read Siren Bound without having read Bonded Nightmare, I fear that the experience would be very confusing and it would be hard to become invested in the characters and the story. Siren Bound picks up right after Bonded Nightmare ends, so what are you waiting for?!

As a new Siren, Rani must learn about herself, her new powers, and the supernatural world of which she’s never been a part previously. Luckily, she has a fiercely protective and incredibly sexy and powerful witch as a Bonded mate! But Rani is stubborn, confused, and missing her best friend. Rani and Ice Daddy Extraordinaire (AKA Ezra) lock themselves away in a beach house for summer to learn these things, and each other. With the besties away dealing with politics and monsters attacking at every turn, it’s more important than ever that Rani accepts her new role and identity before it’s too late!

I once again really enjoyed this read from Rinaldi! I did miss having more characters interacting throughout the story, as in Bonded Nightmare. Siren Bound was virtually only showing interactions between Rani and Ezra. Don’t get me wrong - those interactions are fun, spicy, tender, and everything that you could ask for! But I did find myself wishing for a higher presence of other characters throughout the bulk of the book. If you like steamy, paranormal, bonded mates stories with highly independent and sassy characters, definitely check out these books!

Siren Bound is OUT NOW (released 31 May 2025) and is available in e-book, paperwork, and on KU. Thank you so so so so so much to the author for granting me an ARC of Siren Bound!

hot. hot. HOT.

Siren Bound is everything I'd hoped for after Bonded Nightmare. It hits hard and is perfect for anyone who wants a paranormal romance with an easily accessible magic system, all the feels and smut, smut, smut. 🖤

Aaaaaand it comes with an incredibly hot ice wielding MMC and a stabby & powerful but traumatized FMC

Tropes

You know, when they say men always only think about the one thing?

Well, EZRA does but he makes it sooo attractive.
No but seriously. I've been impatient for this ever since I finished Bonded Nightmare because while I love Kai, Ezra was the one to really intrigue me.

Because of course he was, being the sassy smartass with the looks and the charm that he is. He’s hilarious and sweet in a cheeky way and has such a beautiful heart. And still, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an MMC who thinks about sex this much yet it never feels weird. And the impressive part is that he still gets shit done!
He still manages to be there for Rani and protect her even if it is from herself.

RANI was a great side character in book one and a complicated main character in this, but only in the best way! She has so SO much baggage and fear and, honestly, so not the best approach at dealing with these things. But it matches her story and I love how she finds her way through this on her own feet, yet accepting Ezra's support by her side.

Rani has so much power as a Siren and after how supportive she was of Eryn during her story, I really loved watching her recognise and embrace her own strength.

--

THE PLOT is built up slowly and continues with the unresolved problems from book 1. I think actually that Siren Bound might have been a bit lighter on the plot and honestly, I loved it.

Because while it was there, while the conflict set the framework and forced development by putting pressure on them, ultimately it was a book about character development, about how two people bring out the best in each other, even - or in this case especially -when it's uncomfortable.

They grow, individually and together, and challenge each other in ways that are explosive and intense and heated. In every sense. 👀

--

I still very much love the MAGIC SYSTEM E.M. uses. It's fun and accessible and even though it doesn't go deep into the mechanics, it's well thought through and consistent.
And the fact that she managed to make me pick an Ice Daddy over a Shadow Daddy? That's real skill!

--

THE WRITING was smooth and if there is one thing to say about E.M. it's her unmatched talent for hilarious nicknames! At one point I want to go back and make a list of all the things Ezra calls Rani throughout the book, . Well that and I still love to see how much her style has developed since her earlier books, it's impressive and motivating, really.

--

Siren Bound truly is a beautiful story about growth and self-empowerment, about the battle that is overcoming trauma and finding self-worth in the debris. And about love that doesn't always have to be comfortable to be strong.

Thank you SO much E.M. Rinaldi for letting me join you on this journey. It was an honour and I love how naturally things progress and evolve in Siren Bound.

I was absolutely honored to Beta read this after devouring Bonded Nightmare last year, and when I tell you I'm OBSESSED...

Rani is a badass FMC who went through an extremely traumatic experience (please read BN first) and while she's trying to overcome this PTSD she's being literally hunted. I absolutely loved seeing her overcome her obstacles and come out stronger than ever, especially with the help of Ezra. The supreme ice daddy of them all 😮‍💨 Though he's laced with sarcasm 80% of the time, he is obsessed with Rani (like seriously in love with her) and will do anything to show that.

There is not a ton of world building, but tbh that's not the point of this. The romance and spicy scenes are. The connection between our MCs is front-and-center with tension, battles and some magical politics sprinkled throughout.

I laughed, choked up, blushed and squirmed around. pretty sure my notes throughout were unhinged and batty but I DON'T CARE.

All-in-all, I expect nothing less from E.M. Rinaldi as she knows how to write absolute bangers (pun intended) involving fun stuck (like ice dildos modeled after himself hello????)

When ironically your best friend is a part of a fraction of nightmares you would think that would be the worst but the djinn are the monster's in my story.

I was kidnapped and thrown to the sea bound together with no way to escape. Only being human at the time meant my demise but instead of dying I became something more.

A siren.... an emotional ball of argh because I've got no idea what I am? How do my powers work ? I used to love the ocean but now I can't stand it. My nightmares won't leave me alone.

Enter Ezra my bond who is so cocky but has ice as power and also a playboy who I wouldn't touch me if he was the last man on earth.

But he won't stop to protect me from my monsters to build me up, to help rain me in and to help me fight back against them.

Absolutely loved this I would definitely recommend reading bonded nightmares because it helps you establish how the power plays work in this supernatural world

also just because his powers are ice does not mean the spicy moments will not have you melting every single iceberg.

Rani had her life flipped upside down when she was kidnapped by the djinn. Now she is no longer a human that loves water, she's a siren that is fearful of it. The kicker? Sirens need to use water, especially the ocean, to survive.
Ezra was always the outcast of the family. Being half-human, he was seen and treated as lesser. Ezra had always been drawn to the fiery redhead but ever since that fateful night, there has been a pull from within him as well.
With Solomon still on the rise, will Rani be able to squash her fear of the water and become the powerful siren that she's meant to be? Will her group of friends finally be able to take down the corrupt djinn? What comes of Rani and Ezra? Find out in Siren Bound.
This book, just like the book before it (Bounded Nightmare), is full of spice. Some of the spice could be triggers (rough play, anal play, and more), so please be mindful of that before picking up a copy. The spice is nicely balanced with a gripping plot. I did not want to put it down.

I absolutely loved Bonded Nightmare so I was beyond ready for this because I couldn’t wait to see how everything was going to play out. I really loved this but it took me a long time to like Rani. Ezra was so unfailingly perfect in how he handled almost every single situation with her and I loved him so much. The tension between Rani and Ezra was top notch and every time they gave in it made me want more. The bonding scene was SOOOO satisfying. The spice in this was unbelievably hot, Ezra Alantes is the king of d¡rty talk and birthday presents 😉 Rani ended up being super powerful and I loved the way she defended herself and Ezra. All of the plot stuff that was going on with the Djinn faction being after Rani was really tense and the way everything played out in the end was absolutely perfect. By the end of the book I had really come to like Rani a lot more but Ezra still wins out on favorite character. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and highly recommend it.

I got this as an ARC but all opinions are my own!

ARC Review:

I have been anticipating getting my hands on this book!
After book one I was so excited to race into the next book and I’m so glad I got to ARC read it!
Ezra and Rani were two sides of the same coin. Ice and Fire. They clashed, but once they came together they were absolutely beautiful.

Their story was so good and I was so happy to see them get a happy ending. It was also nice to get to know Rani on a deeper level. After meeting her happy, bubbly self in book one I was instantly curious. She went through so much to get her happy ending and it was well deserved. Ezra was the perfect book boyfriend. His infectious smile and attitude made me love him even more. He was there for Rani through everything and seeing their bond grow was amazing!

There is an ongoing story from book one so I highly suggest starting with that one if you read this series. That way you can read about both a shadow and an ice daddy;))

Siren Bound picks up where Bonded Nightmare ends. Rani is an FMC in flux. Her old life is not simply gone, it's been obliterated by circumstances that traumatized her. Rani turns her pain & snark on Ezra, the hot second to her best friend's man. Ezra in turn has fixed his dominant, protective nature on helping Rani heal. Together these two spark on the page. Fortunately, Ezra's ice magic will keep them cool enough when the spice level rises. I loved the mental health rep here. Rani is incredibly traumatized at the beginning of this book and Ezra meets her where she is. He pushes her when she needs it but is also there to support her and let her recognize her own power. Both of them are stubborn, force-of-nature personalities who have no qualms about saving the other. I love when characters heal with each other. There is a good amount of spice because romance is the plot, duh.

I loved Rani as the BFF sidekick for Eryn but I’m obsessed with her in her main character role! We get to see so much more of her sass and snark and I love it SO. DAMN. MUCH. I also connected with her so much during her moments of panic. As someone who has had panic attacks before I felt her pain and anxiety come off the page.

And freaking Ezra! Ummmm hello Ice Daddy! *Deep breaths* Not only is he wicked hot with his cool ways he is strongly protective of Rani and fights for her even when she can’t fight for herself. And his nicknames for Rani 🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so hard at his hilarious names for her.

Here are my top 3 favorites:
1. Devious little glow stick
2. My cranky cucumber
3. My moody little muffin

This is another awesome book by E. M. Rinaldi with spice, adventure, trials, and found family. Loved reading this!

*ARC review- my honest thoughts*

Sarcastic Ice Daddy and a snarky, attitude-filled siren. What could go wrong? Lots of things- but in the best way possible. Ezra and Rani are a perfect match. Through good and bad, dark and light, fears and protection. They complete each other.

Much like the first book in this series, the romance is the plot (mostly). There’s some slight world building and politics in this one but it’s so easy to follow and does not, in any way, detract from Ezra and Rani’s story. And the spice is spicy!

I’ve been a fan of E.M. Rinaldi since I read Bonded Nightmare last year and Siren Bound did not disappoint. If you like paranormal romance where the romance is the plot, you’ll love this one!

(No Spoiler ARC Review)

I really enjoyed Siren Bound! The return to this world, especially after Bonded Nightmare, felt like slipping back into something familiar but fresh. The community-building and magic structure continues to be a strong point, and I loved seeing familiar characters woven into Rani and Ezra’s journey.

The banter is snappy, the spice hits just right, and there’s a lot of fun exploration of play dynamics between Rani and Ezra. They hold space for each other’s trauma in a way that feels compassionate and real, without slowing down the momentum of the story.

Siren Bound releases tomorrow, May 31! (Though I heard a rumor that US Amazon may have released it a day early!)

Siren Bound picks up right where Bonded Nightmare leaves off.

Rani is struggling with the new world she was forced into. Once a human, now something different, she is terrified. Dealing with nightmares and traumatized by water, she is slowly dying.

Ezra knows she is his mate but he needs to make sure he can help her embrace her new life or else she will die.

Both characters struggle with the monsters that they think they are and have to learn to lean on each other in order to move forward.

The Djinn are still a real threat and someone has to do something to stop them.

I enjoyed this book more than Bonded Nightmare. It is one of my new favorites.

The story and the spice are just perfect plus the banter is bantering.

OMG this is more than Ice smut, there is so much consent here and it's the perfect combination of slow burn and fast melt!

Ezra- ice mage, used to be playboy male sex hound, but now? Now he needs HER, she's his bond. His everything. So now he must earn her trust and love as well as protect her from her worst nightmare: the Djinn

Rani- died and resurrected as a siren of all things and doesn't know how to contain all this panic and anxiety, and this new blast of magic which causes everyone to want her and become crazed zombies!!!

This is the perfect about of smut vs plot and I am defying you not to love it because honestly there was a LOT of twists and turns and things you do NOT see coming….

✨️ARC Review ✨️

I was waiting for this book. Great and witty banter, and I could easily relate to Rani.

She went through the stages of changing and her bond and friend's were there for her to help and navigate her through.

That she didn't really liked. But once she accepted the help she returned to the better version of her own self.
Rani's soft bonding with Ezra was so cute 😍 I was rooting for them since Bonded Nightmare 😅

There's some plot, a lot of changes that previously devided the fractions and looooaaaads of spicy scenes 🌶🌶

An easy read and I absolutely loved it ❤️

Thank you for the HEA
