If you haven't been reading Kristen Luciani's books you are missing out on some of THE BEST mafia romance books on the market. A phenomenal writer and story teller...I swear every new book they write gets better and better. This is the second book in the Mafia Obsession series and so far this one is my favorite. Being a Northern Ireland girl myself, I love and appreciate having the Murphy brothers front and center and absolutely love how Kristen captures our culture without leaning into typical Irish cliches.
This book revolves around two of possibly my favorite MC's of all time. Harry, our strong, determined and at times very defiant, FMC...and Torin...our powerful, broody mafia assassin with the weight of the wold on his shoulders.
Torin and Harry's story starts 12 years ago when her family is assassinated and she is saved by none other than Torin...but what she believes and what the truth is are two very different things. Harry believes that Torin is responsible for the death of her parents...but the truth is that Torin saved Harry...and has been riddled with guilt for the last 12 years because he was ONLY able to save Harry before their entire house was engulfed in flames. From that day, Harry has vowed to get her revenge...and she will stop at nothing to get it and stop men like him from ruining anyone else's life.
12 years later, Harry is working underground, saving women from abusive mafia monsters like the one she believes murdered her family. While the work is admirable, it has put a very large target on her head...one that can only be paid in her blood. Torin is now forced to come back into her life and save her the only way he knows how...marry her in a blood oath marriage to protect her...against her will if necessary...and trust me...the last thing Harry wants to do is marry Torin. But...still deep seated in her anger and quest for revenge, she marries him, thinking it will get her closer to paying him back for her families death.
This is the TRUE definition of enemies to lovers...more so on Harrys side than Torins..but trust me, he isn't thrilled to be married to her either. The hate and tension between them can be felt with every page read. The longer they spend together, the more Harry begins to realize that maybe Torin isn't the monster she thought he was...and that what she once believed to be true may not actually be the case. Their hate and passion turns to love with every day they spend together.
Just like with every Kristen Luciani book, the pages are filled with suspense that keeps you firmly on the edge of your seat...and the SPICE? Make sure your ice water is within reach, because Torin is a man of many talents...one of them being a specialist in hate $ex and let me tell you...it is everything you want and more. This man is burning up the pages even when he isn't trying to charm the pants off Harry....and Harry is no match for him and that filthy mouth.
We get to see some of our favorites from the previous book and I absolutely love when they come back to play. We are only on the second Murphy brother but I CANNOT wait to see who is up next and what they have in store for us!

Torin and Harry’s starts off with his girlfriend being shot while they are on a ‘rescue mission’. He stays with her for a short time and then returns to the mission that sadly only leaves one survivor…. ten year old Harry (aka Harriet). She blames him for her parents deaths.
Fast forward a number of years, Harry is helping in a church. Torin reappears and insists the must marry. They do.
Ok, that’s enough spoilers.
Torin is incredibly demanding, takes her to BDSM club and never really asks if she is ok. This was a bit icky. His inner dialogue doesn’t indicate any remorse…until it does!
Harry is pretty much a doormat when with him. She does show strength that grows further into their story.
There is an awful lot of hate in this story and nearly as much guilt too.
I enjoyed the reading experience once I was about 30% in. Slowly, very slowly we got some true emotion without the hate, snippets of softness, declarations of love, as well as the truth coming out about what happened at the beginning of their journey to a happy ending.
No cheating, lots of lots of intimacy though most seemed to lack feelings….and yes this too did change.

Omggg! I love Torin! He is the kind of man who will do absolutely anything to protect Harry, no matter the cost. That choice he makes at the end? Pure devotion, no hesitation. It shows exactly how fiercely he loves her.
What makes this story unforgettable, though, is the intensity between them. Harry brings out sides of Torin that are dark, dangerous, and beautifully raw. Their chemistry is combustible—rage, tenderness, desire, and obsession colliding until there are no boundaries left. That fine line between love and hate? They don’t just cross it, they obliterate it, and the fire they create is addictive.
The kink only makes it hotter. The BDSM elements are woven in so naturally that they feel like an extension of who Torin and Harry are together. The push and pull of power, the surrender, the trust—it’s not just about heat, it’s about deepening their bond. Every encounter between them is charged with danger and desire, and I was glued to the page.
Now I seriously cannot wait for Seamus’s book. If Torin and Harry set the bar this high, I know the next one is going to be absolutely scorching!

I read this book and it had been so addictive that I barely managed to stop. Torin was cold, precise, and deadly, but also protective when it came to Harry. Harry was stubborn, reckless, and strong, and the way she clashed and connected with him had created a chemistry that felt raw and unforgettable. . The action and suspense had kept me tense, the twists had come unexpected, and the darker touches of kink and power had only deepened their bond. By the end, I had been consumed by their journey. Thank you so much to the author and Literally Yours PR for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

Tried to like it
It's it's pretty decent up until page 18. I know it's a fantasy Romance but seriously the first time the virgin gets kiss by the man she thinks murdered her family she gets turned on it's hard to take the book seriously, couldn't the author just take a few paragraphs to make it more relatable and believable. The the first sexual scene is too close to rape. The MMC hits her tears her nightgown off and makes her get down on her knees and crawl to him, ties her to the bed. Then forces himself into her. That's not the way to treat a virgin. What's even more ridiculous that she's supposedly likes it. I don't like romances where the man likes to leave bruises and welts on his woman. This MMC was crude and nasty. This trope is not for me but some authors seem to able to make it less repulsive I know in the dark mafia books that the MMC is going to be a little rough and bossy but it seems like the author always takes it a little too far. Maybe this was her first attempt at trying to write Dom's sub situations. The sex scenes cringe-worthy. I did not enjoy this book and struggled and scrolled to get to the end. This is my personal opinion.

The more time that they spend together her feelings changes from hate to love which is resuppreciated by him. And when ghost from his past coming looking for her in the form of his girlfriend Siobhan who he had thought had died that she must choose between revenge that as defined her and the man who's her salvation. With the return of Siobhan return everything is clearer on whose behind the murder of the Federici and the perpetrator who has been trying to kill Harry.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series of stand-alones, The Mafia Heir’s Obsession, and this second book is equally as exciting and entertaining. Torin and Harry take the enemies-to-lovers trope to a different level, and it works so well.
Torin, I liked from the beginning and felt he was too hard on himself. It shows how much he cares for others though. He’s a supportive and loyal brother with a slightly wicked sense of humour.
Harry is a survivor, even at a young age she knew she had to do something to protect herself. Whether she was right or wrong isn’t the point, the fact that she took charge and got away, is! She’s a real pip and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her, especially when reading the story from her perspective.
This story is filled with amazing descriptions that are so accurate. For example, when Declan releases the cat from the cat carrier—“…who stretches in such a way that would make an entire yoga class green with envy”—this imagery is perfect.
The suspense element in the story is a very complex puzzle where bits and pieces float around trying to fit together. I was completely blown away by the unexpected twists in the story but loved every nerve-wracking minute.

If you are after a phenomenal writer and storyteller, Kirsten Luciani is your lady, her books are not to be missed, because if mafia romance is your thing then you have come to the right place.
This book revolves around Harry, an FMC who is strong and defiant but also determined to Torin, a mafia assassin who exudes broodiness that doesn’t go out of style, is powerful in his own right but carries a very heavy weight on his shoulders like he owes the world.
Harry and Torin have a history, her family is assassinated and Torin saves her, but there is too much bloodshed and Harry doesn’t know who or what to believe. But what Harry doesn’t know is that Torin carries guilt, guilt for saving her and not her entire family. All Harry wanted is revenge and nothing will stop her from getting it.
Time and distance have changed them both. Harry is determined to save woman who are in abusive relationships, she is determined to find the truth, but at what cost. Only she has caught the attention of the wrong people which has forced Torin back in to her life and in order to keep her safe and protected he marries her, and this is the last thing that Harry wants but she’s been left with no choice, because if this is her only way to get closer to the man responsible for her families death, she will take it any which way she can.

This second book of the series is just as addictive as Lucie and Callahan's story is, and it was hard to stop reading!

Since that day, both of them have been obsessed with one another - one wants to protect a life, and one wants to end a life. You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Harriet have planned revenge for twelve years after her parents were assassinated, their home set fire to cover it up and she knew who to blame for the loss of her family. Fast forward to today she is trying to keep the promise she made to herself to avenge the murder of her parents but learning there is a bounty on her forces her hand into marriage out of the need for protection to none other than the man she wants to take out her revenge on. Torin sexy as all get our assassin, he isn’t a man you want on your radar, he is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, wasn’t planning on marriage but accepts smarter than he lets on and he knows she wants revenge, but he also knows things aren’t always as they appear. He saved her when she was a young girl, and he is saving her again however; she is determined to take him out yet the magnetic pull between the two of them can’t be ignored despite how hard they fight one another and the more they fight stronger the pull till she isn’t sure if it is revenge she is after but can he keep her safe, will she let him keep her safe, stop trying to run, will they realize they are stronger together, will she find the peace she seeks, will she learn the truth, and find the happiness with the one man she never thought could bring her happiness?

Harry has carried hate for a man who she thinks killed her parents years before and she has always said she would kill him,hate him.He has always watch her from a far,to make sure that she is OK but one day while helping a women to get a better life,a man trys to take her out but Torin is there to save her.Harry seems to get her self in trouble and Harry is always there to save her and then she realizes Torin is the man from years before who save her but killed her parents and now she wants to kill him.But Torin is carrying his own pence,he lost his girl, the night he saved Harry and he now lives with alot of what ifs.Now there seems to be a hit out on Harry and she keeps saying she didn't kill anyone,now they will go thre a blood wedding so Torin and his brothers can protect her but she keeps saying she hates him and things aren't improving, Harry keeps running and men are out there trying to kill her.Feelings start to change for Harry but before she can test them out someone from Torin's pass comes into his life,Siobhan who he thought dead years before and now everything falls in place,who really killed Harry's parents,who is trying to kill her.This story is intense,dark and filled with hate and jealousy! But it has love,feelings, Torin has always said when things calm down Harry could leave the marriage and go far away but h e didn't realize his feelings for her changed,that he had a heart and he could love her his Dirty Harry!

I read the first book in this series and was excited to read this next one following a new brother!
The story stars 12 years in the past when our mmc saves our fmc from a house fire but because he isn’t able to also save her parents and he blames himself for their demise.
Our fmc on the other hand believes it’s him who unalived her parents and started the fire in the first place. She runs away and spends years hating him.
Fast forward to the present and our fmc has a secret operation helping abused women. Unfortunately for her, it puts her in compromising situations with very dangerous men and the only way to avoid a hit on her is to enter a blood marriage with the very man she hates.
I loooove a forced proximity and this book had all of it! The love/hate relationship between the fmc and mmc was so spicy and I loved all the extra curricular scenes. This was a super fun book to read, I appreciated all the plot in addition to the spice. 🌶️

For 12 years Harry has plotted Torin’s death after believing he killed her parents. When her life is in danger she has no choice but to marry Torin for her own protection. Harry is horrified but maybe this is what she needs in order to get close enough to end him. But the more time they spend together, the more Harry realises she might have the whole situation wrong. Can she stop herself falling for the ruthless, dominant assassin or will he break completely?
Ok this! This was such a good read! Harry did annoy me a tad because she just refused to listen. Was so convinced she was right that she wouldn’t stop for a second and consider someone else’s side. Plus there was a literal hit out on her and she’s running away like a child, putting herself and everyone else in danger. Torin though. Oooffff that man 🥵 the spice was definitely spicing in this one!! Someone find this man, he’s too good not actually exist!!

Torin is an assassin, with little redeeming qualities. But he did save Harry when she was that young girl and believes he is doing it again. These two are a firestorm waiting for the match to explode it all apart and burn everything down down. The book makes you feel things you don't quite want to, takes you to places you were not expecting, and weaves together a story that at times takes you breath away and at others makes you wish you could take someone elses.

There is so much to unpack with this book -the backstory, the suspense throughout, the secrets, lies and betrayal is on point. BUT let me tell you... the smut/spice was off the charts and boy oh boy does Torin put out... no kink shaming here, we're all for it!
I love all the interconnecting family members and of course, Arnold and Clawzilla - perfection.
Can't wait to jump into the next book in the series with Seamus and Ava.

This is a well written action-packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, drama, angst, tension, loyalty, danger, suspense, intrigue, humour, witty banter, forced marriage, obsession, enemies / lovers, redemption, vengeance, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, and unpredictable, dark mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The Mafia Assassin's Redemption is the second story in the Mafia Obsession series. It is a very well-written enemies to lovers romance.
Torin takes care of his family's enemies. One job goes wrong and he has the choice to save a young girl. He decides to save her but then is hard on himself when he can't save her parents. Harry believed that Torin killed her parents. When her life is threatened she has to marry Torin. She wants to use this opportunity to her advantage to end him for good.
There is so much going on in this story. I love how Torin was possessive over Harry. He would protect her and they had so much chemistry. Highly recommended.

I loved this story twelve years ago Torin Murphy, an assassin, was sent to save a family, but he only saved the ten-year-old daughter Harry: who stabbed him and ran away from the man who had just killed her parents. I love the intrigue of this story, we know there's more behind who want Harry's family murdered. The dynamic between, the love hate relationship Torin and Harry leads to some fun and witty banter. Their passion is steamy, she still hates him, but she can't resist him either. A captivating story with a few surprises, twists and turns as Torin and his brothers tries to uncover all the secrets, lies and betrayals before Harry is murdered. This is the second book in the Mafia Obsession series & I enjoyed seeing Lucie & Cal, Arnold & Clawzilla again. Cal’s brother Torin has done secret side jobs to earn money for the family but a mission puts him in a bad situation, he lives with guilt & regret for12 years. When he has a chance to redeem himself with Harry, he jumps at the chance. I loved that Torin quietly paid his penance over & over and accepted Harry’s unjust feelings. Torin is protective throughout but Harry was reckless in looking after her people, leaving Torin & his family to chase after her—often! I was caught up in the suspenseful plot and then the characters start softening towards each other. The final showdown had me on the edge of my seat. Can’t wait for Seamus’ story.

Torin and Harry's story was certainly a redemption arc for both of them. I found myself sympathizing with Harry, particularly regarding her situation with her family. The story reached a point where the back-and-forth arguments led to some intense moments toward the end. At times, these moments felt somewhat forced, reminiscent of Stockholm syndrome. I did appreciate the overall journey and the mysterious elements of the book. I wasn't expecting the process of uncovering the truth to be such a central focus.
Regarding the BDSM aspects, I felt they were somewhat inconsistently integrated, especially when Torin mentions that she is a natural submissive. I would rate the intensity of the spicy scenes at about a 2.5.

Right from the beginning I knew. This is a story with twists and turns and breadcrumbs galore. I was completely consumed with Torin and Harry. From the beginning to the end, I couldn’t put it down. Read it in one sitting, stayed up late, because I just couldn’t not find out where all those breadcrumbs were leading. Sometimes what we remember might not be what actually happened. Maybe, just maybe the monsters are the good guys.
The push and pull between these two, a great mix of tortured and comedic. Add in the brothers and there’s never a dull moment. I loved seeing all the Murphy boys and Lucie again, and can’t wait to visit them again soon. This series is one I will grab every time I have the chance.

This dark and twisted mafia romance had me hooked from the very first line. With an Irish assassin hero and a heroine consumed by revenge, it’s the ultimate enemy-to-lovers story—full of lies, betrayal, obsession, and a sizzling Dom/sub dynamic. The tension is electric, the chemistry undeniable, and the “my wife” vibes will set your heart racing. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the shocking plot twist left me reeling. Steamy, addictive, and unputdownable—this is one of those romances that blurs the line between hate and love in the most delicious way.

I absolutely loved the first book in the series so I had high hopes for this one! And let me tell you it did NOT disappoint!!
A fiery, strong MFC and a possessive, OTT protective MMC. Plot thick, the spice was spicy, all the characters amazing and Arnold and Clawzilla made it to this book as well (IYKYK) and I loved the writing!
Harry was 10 years old the first time she saw AND was rescued by Harry from her burning house. Ever since that day she though he killed her parents and hated him. When Harry shows up years later at her uncles doorstep saying they'll get married to keep her safe she runs.. HEA

This is an enemies to enemies tale that is a 'I don't want to want you' from both parties but they have a common goal - find out who wants her dead, and why.

That should be his calling card. Torin Murphy is as dirty as they come. With the wicked smile that makes Harry fall for him, he knows he will never let her go. But taking him as his wife for her protection, was all it was meant to be. As much as she hated him for thinking he killed her parents, she couldn't deny the feelings she was developing. They get under each other's skin and burn together. The Master has found his perfect Sub and he'd unalive anyone who tries to take her from him. These Murphy brothers is going to undo me with their love for animals and their women. Can't wait read the next book.

So dirty I couldn’t get enough. I think each of Kristen’s book get better and better (aka dirtier and dirtier) I loved the ads aspect though it seemed a bit less consensual than it maybe should have been. One sided enemy to lover, protector, age gap, forced marriage, surprise enemy, and HEA. Everything you could want.
I’m not sure how large the age gap is, but the constant reference to her being 10 when he saved her was sometimes disturbing.
IRL this would be horrible, but dark and dirty fantasy….magic.
