Never Started is an emotional, suspenseful, and brilliantly crafted story that will keep you turning the pages late into the night. The tension is addictive, the plot is sharp and unforgettable, and the ending is executed flawlessly. Addie Renee has exceeded all expectations with this one—truly an outstanding read.

Buckle your seatbelt because the emotional roller coaster ride that Addie brings you on during this story is unreal but in the best way possible.
This follow Izzy and Jett from Never Stop (Book 1) and their story. Addie pulls you in from that prologue with that little sprinkle of shock. But that plays a part into describing and shaping Izzy into who she is. Izzy is unapologetically sarcastic, smart mouth and sassy and always in control. It’s hard for Izzy to let anyone else have control. Izzy doesn’t do emotions. Which makes things very difficult for Jett who is down bad for Izzy.
Jett knew going into things with Izzy that she needed control and that she didn’t do emotions or love. They were friends with benefits thats it. But you can sense the chemistry between them and their interactions from the beginning. It’s so obvious that it pains you reading how badly Jett wants to love Izzy and provide her the love she deserves but Izzy doesn’t believe she does deserve it (hence being closed off - due to past situations) Izzy hasn’t been forth coming with things that happened in her past, she keeps it all locked tight inside. But Jett can see through all of that and pushes Izzy to be better and see her worth.
Addie walks you through the very beginning. Two past tense and then the present. The story is broken up into three parts.
One thing about Izzy is…. Girl is gonna put her track shoes on and run from any situation when it gets too real or try to mask it by having sex. Cue, Izzy and Via leaving to go to collage to become nurses then we meet Maverick. Who is a gentleman from the moment he meets Izzy (which let me say she doesn’t make easy 😂) Izzy and Mavericks first encounter says everything about Maverick. Their paths keep crossing and Maverick has undoubtedly fallen for Izzy.
Years later Izzy comes face to face with the man who has always had her heart even though she’s closed off the only problem is Maverick has her heart too. Izzy finds herself in a situation where she’s in love with two men and scared of what she’s feeling.
Without saying too much and giving away no spoilers a situation happens which puts Jett in a tough situation where he feels the need to protect everyone and keep it to himself and especially protect Izzy when threats start coming due to a situation that’s now being held over Jett’s head.
There suspense kicks in about 65% to 68% and it’ll keep you turning the page wanting to know what happens next.
This is a story of believing that you aren’t worthy of love from past trauma, being torn and battling within your head the emotions you feel but don’t want to feel, second chance romance. If you are looking for a book that will take you through ever emotion possible, make you feel every emotion then this is the read for you but highly recommend starting with Never Stop which is Book 1.

Addie Renee did it again. I don't know how, but she managed to raise the bar on a book that already had my heart. I was not prepared for Izzy’s story. I’m still spiraling.
Izzy is a free spirit that runs when things get serious. She's sarcastic, guarded, and chaotic, and that’s what makes her feel so real. Watching her navigate her past, her fears, her feelings… especially with Jett, and then throwing Maverick into the mix? Emotional damage.
Let’s talk about the guys. Mav is amazing. Like, truly a dream. But poor freaking Jett. He’s been it. From day one. The quiet heartbreak, the history, the tension between them, it’s a love story that was truly earned. The was a point I didn’t even know who I was rooting for anymore.
What makes this book even more special is how it circles back to Never Stop. We get to revisit moments from the first book, but now through another perspective. And scenes I thought I understood? They hit completely differently now. You get so much more context and clarity. The way these two books intertwine is clever and perfectly executed. The banter? Top tier. Izzy has hilarious chemistry with everyone, but especially with the guys. This is emotional, but also funny when it needs to be.
What truly gets me every single time is Addie’s ability to make you feel. I saw myself in so many of Izzy’s struggles. And even in the parts I couldn’t directly relate to, I still felt everything. Her writing just resonates. You don’t just read these characters, you carry them with you. It’s a healing journey, facing past trauma, and finding your place when you feel too broken to belong.
The friendships in this book are beautiful. The author doesn’t just focus on the romance. She builds a whole world of connection around these characters. If you know me, you know I don’t often reach for romance, but this is the kind I’ll scream about. It’s raw, emotional, messy, and so worth it. Every single page made me feel something.

I wish I could find the proper words to articulate the amount of emotions that Addie makes me feel when I read her stories
I fell in love with her style of writing when I read her very first book “ Never Stop.”
Her characters are extremely raw and real.
You can’t help but love them and their imperfections.
I want to start off by saying that you should definitely read“ Never Stop” before you dive into this one. She seamlessly connects both books and makes the journey an easy one to follow.
You have two love interests that enter Izzie’s life at different phases. She knows Jett since she was young and she meets Mav later in life. Jett was her first love, but Mav sat with her through the darkness. He gave her the love she needed at the time that she needed it the most.
I was team Jett from the very beginning, but I found myself torn between both of them. I definitely didn’t expect that to happen when I started reading this book. That’s just how great her writing is, you can’t help but fall in love with each character.
I know that all these characters will always hold a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to continue reading your stories . It is a true privilege to experience all of them with you.

It was a very good read. It was the thought provoking and a romantic read. Deals with some issues at all of us at one time of our lives deal with. I do recommend that you read the first book never stop before reading this one.

first off I must say Addie Renee is an amazing author. I can not wait to see what she writes next. This book has a little bit of everything in it. The emotions that she creates it amazing. the best roller coaster of emotions I have ever had while reading a book. this book is a must read and must have.

There was NO proper information on this book but I liked the first book so I gave it a try. It’s Izzys book and I couldn’t relate to her I should have felt sorry for her for what happened to her but the feelings never came. She has 2 really nice guys and she strings them both along there is emotional cheating as she “loves” both but her choices to me were selfish. At one point I thought she was going to end up with both it takes her 67 chapters to make a choice! Thats far too long to mess with two decent guys feelings. I did feel for both guys and felt both could do better. What happens after she chooses is so cliche that it made me roll my eyes really? THATS how it ends for the loser??? No thanks wouldn’t recommend. Should have a description that says what the book is actually about.

This book was written so beautifully and has so much emotion in it you’ll be hooked on it from the beginning. As I read this story I found myself as a part of the story and resonating with the FMC a lot. For me this book wasn’t just a story about two people learning how to deal with their emotions and actions. It’s about how we as humans have the power to control how we view ourselves and the people around us. We have the choice to either accept ourselves as we are and continue to grow and be a better version of ourselves, or to choose to let our emotions and the world get the best of us, only to be dragged down in darkness and see no way out. This book has taught me so much about myself and how I see the world and other people. This book healed a part of me that I never knew needed healing. These Characters will now hold a special place in my heart. Thank you so much Addie for an incredible reading experience.

Highlighting the past and present, there’s Jett, steadfast and caring and then in waltzs Maverick, unknowingly causing emotional turmoil. There were moments when my allegiance was divided, as Maverick is charming and multifaceted, whereas Jett, who has been a constant presence, is struggling with unspoken emotions.

When I read “Never Stop” Book 1 of this series, I was so curious about Izzy’s story! Her reaction at Thanksgiving made me wonder what had happened to this girl to make her hide away from others during the holiday/ trip to Mississippi. I knew there was more to the story than Via was aware of at the time… but felt that Jett knew what Izzy needed in that moment.
Then Book 2 of this series “Never Started” finally tells Izzy’s story and gave me some insight into who this character is and why she needed some space. Izzy prefers to keep things physical and light, instead of emotionally involved and heavy… cause she has been hurt before. Her relationship with Jett is hot and heavy but a little too “heavy” for her comfort level. I won’t get into any spoilers but just like the first book: this was an emotional journey that had me in tears one minute and lusting for the MC the next! (😜) Addie really knows how to create realistic characters that are doing their best to figure life out. She makes us root for them, cry with them, and love with them. This book is a must read and I cannot wait until the audiobook is available too!

I don’t know what Addie Renee puts in her stories, but what I do know is her writing of this story is masterful! Every detail is so intricately woven into one of the most heart-stopping and compelling plots I’ve ever had the privilege of reading. The emotions evoked will definitely give you scorching highs and devastating lows, but that’s what makes this second chance romance magical! Each character is so well written that they all find a way to pull on every string of your heart and hold on for dear life! Addie, your creativity and imagination is beautifully authentic and relatable in every way! Better watch out for this girl, she is something special and so worth it to take a chance on every time! Mad love!

♡Do you love stories that leave you staring at a wall unable to process the emotional rollercoaster you just went on? ME TOO!! All I could do when I finished this book was post a video of me sobbing as a book review because I couldn't form a coherent sentence let alone write one! Infinity stars, 10 out of 10, I feel ruined in the best way possible & haven't been able to stop thinking of this story since it finished me!
That's it.....that's my review because you're not getting any spoilers from me! I highly recommend starting with book #1 Never Stop for the best emotional experience! This was a heart-wrenching but healing book to read. I was so curious about Izzy and her story, and I'm so damn glad this was written the way it was written.
Izzy definitely went through it all. She is such a strong and resilient woman to have gone through what she went through but to push her own problems aside to be there for Via.
This book was full of so much love, heartbreak, loss, and friendship.
I highly recommend reading Never Stop, book 1, before reading this.

First of all... I just want to say I shut out the world to read this book. I literally started it at 3pm yesterday and by midnight i was already at 90%.. The feels.. the emotions.. the suspense.. THE BANTER.. All of it was GOD TIER!
Jettson "Beast" Cole and Izabel "Beauty" Landry.. this story goes down in the history books for sure..
When I say I have no words for this duology, I mean it. I read Never Stop earlier in the month and literally had a count down for this one to release. I knew that reading book one that I needed more of Izzy and Jett's story. Especially what was said and what happened when they were on the ranch at Thanksgiving.. However, what I was not expecting was to love this story even more than I did Never Stop. These two books are EVERYTHING any reader could ever hope for in an escape from Realty, because goodness Please take me back!!!!

W. O. W. I’m speechless. My heart has been ripped out. This story was something truly special. And how I will recover I do not know. Addie has such a beautiful way of bringing stories to life, and she really delivered with this one. I may do a more detailed review later. But OMG I’m still sobbing.

Never Started had me hooked from the moment I started reading it! This book follows Izzy and Jett’s story. Izzy, a strong and sassy character, and her past experiences that are constantly influencing her emotions, allows you to really understand the why behind her guarding. Izzy trying to navigate her past and her feelings for Jett, then throwing a wrench in her plans when Maverick becomes a constant in her life, was an emotional roller coaster. I felt all the emotions while reading this ARC.
I would recommend reading the first book Never Stop by Addie Renee. Never Started was an amazing ready with a flawless ending!

Omg where do I start!! I absolutely loved this book so much. From the moment I read Never Stop (book 1) I said I wanted Izzy and Jett’s story, and damn did Addie deliver! I was not prepared for the emotional roller coaster their story took me on but it was worth every second to get to their end🥹 I won’t ever stop thinking about this beautiful story! This is definitely in my top reads of this year😭 I was bawling when Via’s baby name was revealed, it was just such a full circle moment for me. I will read anything Addie writes and can’t wait to see what’s next💖 If you haven’t read Never Stop yet I highly recommend reading before Never Started comes out on October 17th. It will be so worth it!!

Addie… here you go again.. AMAZING. I enjoyed this so much more than the first one. The characters just amazing. All the damn emotions. I hated you for a minute but it’s fine you turned it around and made me happy again😂 I get you had to do something with Mav, but damn woman… just pulled my heart strings one at a time with him😭

I finished Never Started by Addie Renee 4.5 stars. This book was so great, full of emotion and a little chaos. I enjoyed every chapter; it made me feel sad, happy, seen, loved, and so much more. Addie did such an amazing job with this one. I feel like this makes the first book come together. Definitely recommend.

Addie Renee, I have no words! 😭 This duology consumed me and I am so sad that it is over! I am so thankful that you gave me a chance to be an ARC reader for this book! I hadn’t read the first one but I am low key glad I waited because there was NO way I could have waited for the second book to come out!
I knew when I read the first one that Jett was going to be my favorite MMC. I am always drawn to the older men 💁🏻♀️ so when it dawned on me that he and Izzy were the two that “never started”, my heart bursted! Although my heart hurt for Maverick from the very beginning, I also loved getting to know him and see his love unfold for Izzy! He was such a sweet character! I absolutely loved this whole story, and I cannot wait for the whole world to be able to meet Izzy and Jett in the same way we got to meet Via and Ander!

Addie DID IT AGAIN! This book is EVERYTHING you need in a book! Real life issues that were laid out in this book is so unreal! I related to Izzy sooo dang much in this book and it touched my heart! Addie could never do me wrong with her books! The way that she captures you in her books is astounding! I absolutely love Addie and if she writes it, I’m reading it! 😍

Oh my, what a story! This book takes you on an emotional journey that is so relatable and yet healing at the same time. Izzy’s fears from the trauma she experienced early on in life affects every aspect of her relationships and choices. But yet, Addie Renee relays such a powerful message that hope and love remains no matter how deep it’s buried.
