College friends Savannah, Daisy, Zoe, and Evie reunite in Las Vegas to celebrate Evie’s divorce, but buried secrets can’t stay hidden forever, and when the truth about their shared past is exposed, the party takes an expected turn. DeLuca executes a nonstop plot exquisitely, withholding key aspects of each character’s backstory for a well-timed reveal. Highly entertaining!
A psychological thriller told from multiple perspectives. The Divorce Party is set in Vegas, and we are introduced to Savannah, Daisy, and Zoe, three women who were friends until 20 years ago. Something happened that caused them not to speak to each other. Present day, they all receive an invitation from the woman who is known as the queen bee of their college clique, Evie. They all find themselves together again in Las Vegas for her divorce party. As the drink flows, so does the resentment, and it doesn't take long for them to discover that Evie has her own agenda, but what is it? Can they all confront their pasts and survive now? I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The author kept me reading with her great characters and so many twists. I always love multiple perspectives, and it worked well, keeping me guessing throughout. I will be on the lookout for more books by this author!
My goodness, this book really got my attention after going through a divorce myself. But what things look like are not always what they are. I understood the reasoning behind the party at face value, but when the dark roots come out to meet the daylight wow!!! Loved the ending by the way. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
A really good read. To say that none of the girls really knew what they were letting themselves in to when they accepted invitations to Evie’s Divorce Party in Vegas I don’t think any of them knew how it would end and more to the point how each one of them would stoop to such extremes to save their own skin. This was a book of revenge & redemption with a few more light hearted moments as well and it certainly kept me engaged and entertained.
This is a good summer book. It has plenty of twists and turns and keeps you entertained . It has good characters and a good storyline. This book pulls you in and keeps you there till the end . Worth a read.
The Divorce Party is a fast-paced, compelling read that pulled me in right away. M.M. DeLuca has a talent for building suspense and creating characters that keep you guessing. The story unfolds with plenty of twists and turns, making it hard to put down. I found myself flying through it to see what would happen next!
What I especially enjoyed was how effortlessly the narrative moved; the pacing made it a perfect weekend read. If you’re looking for something gripping that you can really sink into, this book delivers.

Twenty years ago Daisy, Zoe & Savannah were the Party Girls, led by Evie. They agreed never to see each other again, but now Evie has summoned them to her divorce party in Las Vegas & they can't refuse, however unwise it is. Each of the three women had secrets, which are gradually revealed, as the book moves between their viewpoints. But before they can move on with their lives they have to deal with what happened twenty years ago.
No one knows you like your old friends. Old friends and past secrets and a surprise invitation to The Divorce Party. An invitation they can’t refuse. The Divorce Party by M.M. DeLuca is a propulsive and addictive ride to Vegas with the girls. What could possibly go wrong? They’re about to find out. And you know what they say about what happens in Vegas… It’s a thrill ride you don’t want to miss, one that will have you turning the pages late into the night. Grab this book! Out July 1st.
Four friends get together in Las Vegas to celebrate the Evie's marriage. We know that they vowed never to see each other again 15 years previously. None of them were likeable characters, but I enjoyed the story with them getting more and more out of their comfort zone.
The most overused phrase being bandied about at the moment seems to be "psychological thriller." Every second book on the market has that very tagline. Unfortunately, The Divorce Party is not by any stretch of the imagination a psychological thriller. It's a novel about four extremely annoying women who all attended college together 15 years before and are harbouring a supposedly dastardly secret. They had all vowed never to see or speak to each other again. Cue Evie, the master manipulator of the group, who invites her three "friends " to Vegas to celebrate her impending divorce from Blair. And of course, despite major reservations, all three accept the invite to the Divorce Party. What follows thereafter is a mixed-up, mind-numbing storyline guaranteed to have you tearing your hair out at the ludicrous and unbelievable actions of all four. I couldn't wait to get to the end if only to save myself from the tediousness of the whole shebang. Thanks to Bloodhound Books for the ARC.
Old friends reuniting after years of no contact for a divorce party sounded like the perfect situation for old resentments and tensions to resurface, especially when they all have secrets they want to keep hidden.
Unfortunately, this didn't quite deliver on the promise of the premise. I had a bit of trouble telling the husbands apart - they were all quite generic in their "no-good" qualities. In addition, the women insisted on making ridiculous choices. I'm happy to suspend my disbelief for a decent thriller, but this was a bit much.
A book you could easily read on the beach or by the pool, as it is a real piece of escapism and it did capture the unique nature of Las Vegas well.

Zoe, a respected pediatrician, has built a life of perfection but things are not so great with her husband Marcus.
Evie seems to have it all money and a good lookng husband, Blair whom she is getting a divorce from.
All the women are intriguied but why has Evie chosen to bring the four of them together again after all this time. Good or bad news.

What a great new thriller from DeLuca! I've read many of her books and this one is a little different for her, but she executes all the moments in this one perfectly!
A group of college friends that had experienced a troubling few years together and then went their separate ways are now being invited back together. Evie, the main instigator of the bunch is getting divorced from her questionable husband and has invited the girls to Vegas for one big final hurrah.
But each of them has secrets from their time together in college, which was why they haven't kept in contact since then. After the 'incident' happened, they all agreed to never get into contact with one another again. But one of them is getting divorced and decides this is the perfect opportunity to flush out all of the skeletons in the closet.
Told from the perspective of three of the four girls, I was absolutely kept on my seat as to what was going to happen. Each of them has their own unique secrets and I found myself puzzling over each one trying to figure out what they all were hiding. Nothing was clear until those final chapters and boy was I surprised!
A wonderfully told story of four young women who came from very difficult pasts, bonded over their shared misery and were compelled into even more treacherous tales as they aged. A shared secret between them all begins to unravel and no one knows who they can trust in this tangled mess of cat and mouse. Each one is playing the other, hoping to survive this weekend together.
DeLuca put together a wonderful cast of character types that range from gold diggers out for their own self-preservation, serious mental health challenges, a Vegas dance performer hiding in the open, and a respected pediatrician. All of them raised in broken homes with flippant and uncaring parents, which is what ultimately brought them together in college.
The secrets they've all been hiding for so many years get put on full display and the unraveling of everyone's truths was a marvel to watch in this story. My favorite character was Zoe, the pediatrician. She reminded me a little bit of myself in terms of when she's faced with a challenge, she ultimately is trying to decide what the best outcome is for her. She's always on the defense about people and tries to defuse any kind of tension with distractions.
A fantastic story told from three different perspectives that will keep you guessing all the way through!
The Divorce Party by M.M. DeLuca was a great quick read that will have you turning the pages quickly to find out what happens next. I really enjoyed this book, from the very beginning, especially as it was very twisting with great characters.
A night that happened nearly 20 years ago changed Savannah, Daisy, and Zoe lives forever, and they have not spoken to each other as they all went their separate ways! Then, an unexpected invitation arrives from Evie, who is known as the ruthless queen bee of their college clique, and they have no choice but to reunite in Las Vegas for her lavish divorce party.
All their lives have change and Savannah, is now a glamorous Vegas dancer, and she has spent years running from a past that refuses to stay buried. Daisy, is a burned-out substitute teacher drowning in debt, and is desperate for a second shot at the excitement she missed. Now, Zoe, a respected paediatrician, and has built a life of perfection. But perfection comes at a cost, and the cracks are starting to show.
As the drinks are flowing.........old resentments are slowing coming out, it has now become clear that Evie’s invitation isn’t just about celebrating her freedom.
The weekend takes a deadly turn for the worst and they all must friends confront their past to survive the present…
Will they confront all their past and survive?
WoW this book was excellent and a great quick read that will have you hook from the very beginning!
Four women who were known as The Party Girls at college reunite after an invitation from Evie who had been their lead. After a fateful night at the end of their college years, they had split and gone their separate ways for twenty years. Their lives had taken different paths but each had reached an unhappy point in their lives. Evie issues the invitation on the eve of her divorce from a rich guy they all knew.
The story jumps back and forth between snippets from each of their lives. Savannah had become a successful dancer in Las Vegas where the reunion occurs but she wishes to keep that a secret. Zoe is a successful pediatrician whose marriage is in peril. Daisy is married to another one of the rich college men whom she has led into a life of drugs and drug dealing.
These unhappy lives converge in Las Vegas. Each of them has secrets, some pertaining to their last night together and the disappearance of one of their boyfriends. He was murdered and at least two of the women think they did it, not knowing that another thinks she is responsible.
Thanks to Bloodhound Books for providing me with an Advance Review Copy. On second thought this book probably only rates three stars. I found this book a somewhat disappointing read.
I heard it said once that the most important decision a person makes in their life, the decision that impacts health and happiness more than any other, is who they marry.
THE DIVORCE PARTY by MM DeLuca is further proof of this theory.
Four college friends who haven’t seen each other in fifteen years meet in Vegas to celebrate one of their divorces.
There’s Daisy, a down on her luck substitute teacher, married to Wade, a failed, wannabe rock star.
Zoe, a rich and successful pediatrician married to Marcus, whom she doesn't like much anymore.
Savannah, the science nerd turned professional dancer, gorgeous but single.
And the ringleader of the foursome, Evie, who has called them all together to celebrate her divorce from Blair.
Cue the backstabbing, plotting, and ulterior motives.
Each character is richly drawn, and when it comes to light early that these women are bound by a secret, the reader begins to anticipate the eventual reveal, which doesn’t disappoint.
This is the perfect summer read, a well-written, fiery story that will leave you wanting more.
🎲 W I L D W E D N E S D A Y review 🎲 featuring “The Divorce Party” by M.M. DeLuca!
Back in their college days Evie, Savannah, Zoe and Daisy were known as the party girls and had a very tight clique. One night changed EVERYTHING between them and they went twenty years without speaking … until now.
A shocking invitation arrives from Evie to attend a weekend in Las Vegas for her divorce party. The group is on edge and uncertain of Evie’s intentions for the weekend, but also curious as to why they have been summoned after all these years.
Las Vegas is known to be a city of sin and this toxic friendship doesn’t stand a chance. Bound together by years of secrets, lies and resentment … who will survive the weekend and who will not??
I love a wild Las Vegas setting, especially for a lavish divorce party and bringing old “friends” back together! These women are all super messy and tensions are high between them. As a reader you start to see the cracks form within their dynamic and are on edge waiting for the ball to drop!
Thank you kindly to @mmdelucaauthor @bloodhound.books @netgalley for my #gifted advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest review. This book releases on July 1, 2025!
I love a good thriller and this book did not disappoint. The intrigue and mystery started on page one and intensified on each turn of the page. Four university friends, who have not kept in touch since their fateful graduation night, are suddenly invited to a lavish divorce party in Vegas. They each have a past that is cleverly exposed throughout the novel. Things really get exciting when they meet up in Vegas. This book’s theme epitomizes the saying “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” If you love psychological thrillers then this book is for you. The author has fun describing the glitz and glamour of Vegas. She also clearly enjoyed diving into the playful side of divorce from themed parties, to curating Karaoke divorce playlists and cheeky, pun filled cocktail menus. This book is fun! It’s intriguing and you will still be thinking about it long after the last page. It’s a slow burning exploration of manipulation, memory and moral ambiguity. A great summer read! Thank you to Bloodhound Books for providing me with an ARC.
Four college friends haven’t spoken in almost 20 years because of an incident in the past so traumatic to them all, that they agreed never to have any contact with each other ever again. Until out of the blue they receive an invitation from the master manipulator of the group Evie to come to Las Vegas to her Divorce Party. Savannah, Daisy and Zoe the other three self-absorbed friends are so intrigued by the invitation and a little afraid of upsetting Evie that they agree to go to Vegas. Each chapter describes each of the characters in detail from their lowly childhoods to their current situations. You get to know the characters and how they feel about each other. Evie has planned some surprises for the girls and as each part unfolds old resentments come to the surface and it becomes clear that it’s not about her divorce but revenge for some long held memories from the past. The weekend takes a deadly turn and the friends are terrified for their lives and realize that they must face their past in order to move on in the future. Thank you to Bloodhound Books for providing me with an ARC copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the book very much and I think it’s a great summer read.
This is my first DeLuca book to read and she did not disappoint at all. If you enjoy a good suspense/mystery read then you’ve got to read this book. Each chapter describes each of the characters in detail from their sad childhoods to their current lives. You get to know the characters and how they feel about each other, which is mutual amongst them all. Each of them has their own unique secrets and I found myself puzzling over each one trying to figure out what they all were hiding. Nothing was clear until those final chapters and boy was I surprised! A weekend of whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas takes a deadly turn and the friends are terrified for their lives. The friends realize that they must face their past in order to move on in with the future. A Definite page turner!!!
Thank you to @mmdelucaauthor for the signed copy and I LOVE the cover😍
When Evie throws a divorce party in Las Vegas to celebrate her newfound freedom, it's more than just a reunion—it's a reckoning. After two decades apart, the women are ready to let loose, but not all wounds have healed. As old grudges simmer and champagne flows, someone is playing a dangerous game. With loyalty tested and truths unraveling, one thing’s certain: payback has a reservation—and it’s checking in tonight.
A deliciously twisty tale of betrayal, revenge, and redemption. You’ll think you know—but trust us, you don’t.
This was a well written thriller that kept me guessing as to what would happen next. Four "friendemies" from college get together in Las Vegas to celebrate the divorce of one of them. Zoe, Daisy, Savannah and Evie each have their own problems, and some of those problems stem from something that happened years before when the members of this group were hanging out together. I highly recommend this book to other thriller readers. I received an ARC of this book, and the opinion expressed is strictly my own.
No one knows you like your old friends, especially when secrets abound and are promised to be buried and never be spoken about. What happens after four college friends who haven’t seen each other in almost twenty years, by mutual decision, come to Las Vegas to celebrate the divorce of one of them, is what’s at the core of this book. Secrets surface, lives are threatened and murder occurred and at the end we learn who from the four friends is the most cunning and deadly one. With plenty of twists and turns and characters that you love to hate this book will entertained you till the end.
What a roller coaster ride! I finally had to just had to sit back and enjoy the ride because I had no clue where the story was going. I did find myself thinking several times, "With friends like these, who needs enemies!" Ms. DeLuca kept me on my toes, and I admit to not seeing the ending coming. All the twists and turns kept me wanting to read more. I will be looking for more of Ms. DeLuca's books to read. I received a review copy from the author via Bloodhound Books, and this review reflects my honest and voluntary opinion.
If messy friendships and over-the-top drama are your thing, then this Vegas reunion could be your next binge read.
The Divorce Party follows four old friends through a twisty whirlwind of secrets, resentments, and some truly wild storylines - think gold digging girl cliques, a marine biologist, drugs, murder, a wrestling team and tangled affairs between friends’ husbands. With friends like this, who needs enemies.
While not everything worked for me, readers who love unpredictable drama will likely have fun with this one!
In her usual fast-paced, twisty, plot and character driven style, MM Deluca reveals a lighter side to her storytelling with a tongue-in-cheek mean-girls-grown-old adventure in Divorce Party. Like tasty Easter eggs hidden in unexpected places, DeLuca leaves the reader guessing and second-guessing until the end. I thoroughly enjoyed Divorce Party.
Thoroughly enjoyed 'the divorce party. It had twists and turns throughout the book. It would be great to see the characters on the big screen. I'd definitely recommend this book. You won't be disappointed!! Thank you to Bloodhound books for providing me with an ARC
3.5 . this was a book full of twists and turns about frenemies going to a divorce party in Vegas. what can go wrong? this was an entertaining read, I just didn't like the ending, I felt it was too pat
