Alaric, Paladin of Solaris I was sent to kill her… but I submitted to her instead. The GodKing ordered me to slay the sorceress Sylvanna and retrieve the Heart of the Eclipse—a legendary artifact said to shape fate itself. Failure was not an option. But when I found her, her Shadow Magic overwhelmed my Celestial Light. I alone bear the Holy Fire, yet I was powerless against her. She offered me a take her Oath of Submission and serve her for a time, and she would grant me a chance at the Heart. I had no choice but to obey. I never expected to crave it.
Sylvanna, Sorceress of Nocturna He came to destroy me. Now he is mine. Shadowbound. I knew the Paladin was coming to kill me. I didn’t expect him to kneel. Alaric is strong enough to snap me in half… but instead, he begs to serve, to please, to taste. He burns with Light, but his soul hungers for Shadow—and for me. Training him is a pleasure. Keeping him is a temptation. But our bond will be tested. To reclaim the Heart of the Eclipse, we must travel to the City of Night and face Kraven—my treacherous former Blood-Partner. If we fail, our kingdoms will fall. If we succeed… the magic awakening inside my Paladin may change everything.

If you love romantasy, magical kink, Dark Romance, enemies to lovers, and powerful heroines who take what they want, this book is for you.
Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.
Captivating start to a wonderful series, a riveting read that will hold you captive This is a simply wonderful read by this author who I think has once again out done herself, I found the story to be totally engaging and the characters have been described so magnificently. The characters have a wonderful interaction that you cannot help be drawn in to, Alaric has been sent to kill Sylvanna and then he is to retrieve the “Heart of the Eclipse” however, as they spend time together their interactions are simply wonderful and their goals change. The story has thoroughly detailed the two characters and the way they have been interacting with each other and the actions that have been derived as their chemistry begins to change. I will not spoil the read for others by giving away the plot but guarantee that you will be captivated by this wonderful fantasy read. You will love the magic and mischief along with the strength of characters and the tenacity and bravery each need to survive this tremendous quest. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
Alaric is a Paladin of Celestial Light who has been sent by his GodKing to kill the Sorceress of Shadow Magic Sylvanna and gain the Heart of the Eclipse, a legendary artifact that may change Fate itself. But beautiful curvy Sylvanna proves to be more dominate than handsome muscular Alaric, and his quest will end up being through a sensual world of magic as he submits to her. I read Shadowbound by Evangeline Anderson in one day. I believe Devoured is the word. Once I started in with the Introduction, I just had to keep going. Sensual, steamy, and electrifying as the plots of Ms. Anderson’s narratives are, I just couldn’t put it down. Shadowbound is a Must Read, an exemplary addition to The Shadow Fae set of Dark Fantast Romances, joining The Throne of Shadows and The Queen of Midnight.
The author has once again created an amazing piece of work. Now when I say the phrase, "Comin' in hot!" it's 100% accurate in more than one way. Although I'm sure my use of it is not as it was intended, it's accurate none the less. The connection between Sylvania and Alaric was pretty much instantaneous, whether he wants to admit it or not. I loved how it quickly he submitted and by him doing that they became far more than with thought they would. I'm not going to give all this books secrets away. The reader deserves to experience all the hot and smexy parts along with the well-deserved consequences certain people faced. I highly recommend this and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
This story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, domme (Sylvanna)/unsuspecting sub (Alaric), enemies to lovers, erotic fantasy romance. This type of story is my catnip. I enjoyed the erotic interplay and interaction between the characters. I enjoyed the way Sylvanna encouraged Alaric to look past his indoctrinated biases. I enjoyed Alaric’s physical strength contrasted with his enjoyment of mental submission. I enjoyed the erotic play and the widening of Alaric’s boundaries. I enjoyed the non-romance plot and the way that the characters worked together to improve the situation for both their people/countries. I appreciated that they took turns assisting each other.
I purchased this book from Smashwords because I KNEW I’d want a keep copy.
Wow this author has outdone herself test again with this spelling addition to our libraries. What and amazing journey the characters go on. I really appreciate that it was a slow burn in the beginning so nothing felt rushed and the romance flowed Naturally. I also loved how both characters’ backgrounds were explored in a meaningful way, giving weight to their choices and the connection they form. Their crossing paths felt fated but also earned, and that kept me invested the whole way through. If you like a spicy read I would highly recommend this. Absolutely brilliant.
Fiery mix of two from polar opposite lands find themselves each wanting to protect their respective kingdoms. Alaric, Paladin of Solaris is sent on a mission to obtain a legendary artifact held by Sylvanna the sorceress of Nocturna. Once they meet, plans change and evolve into something neither expected. Sparks fly and their relationship becomes romantically charged while preparing to obtain the Heart of the Eclipse together. Can unexpected obstacles keep them apart or will the magic of love find a way?
You can always count on this author to give you a steamy, romantic story, and once again hasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed the different world and change of character traits in this storyline, and I hope that we will see more in the future. This was a wonderful escape read for me.
