Lies and betrayal is definitely an understatement when it comes to the life of prosecutor Tiffany Moore. Weird things have been happening to her for the past few weeks and no one can help her, not even her cool, calm and collective defense attorney husband Michael Moore. The stranger things become, the more Tiffany finds herself falling into depression. She confides in her friends, hoping that they can give her the answers that she needs. With each horrific experience after another, Tiffany finally puts all the clues together and come to a shocking revelation. Not only is something wrong but something is disturbingly wrong with her husband. She then comes to the conclusion that something might not be right in her circle as well. When everything is revealed, the game is now over and Tiffany realizes that she is in serious danger and her life is at risk. The only two options that she is faced with is losing her freedom or losing her life.

This is the worst book I've ever read. It was unedited, with little punctuation and the author has no command of the English language. The main character is supposed to be a prosecuting attorney but she speaks like an uneducated teenager from the ghetto. Her sex scenes were written with such crude language that I couldn't decide if it was supposed to be a murder mystery or a low budget porn story. When I figured out how to leave a review, I found a 4 star rating under my name. How does that happen? Is this books good rating manufactured by Goodreads or what. Even though the book was free from Amazon, I feel like I should ask for a refund. I read many good free books from Amazon and often go on to buy more books by the same author but this book is a total joke and both Goodreads and Amazon should be ashamed to call it a book. This is trash.

Man this book was soooo freaking good I don't know why people said this book wasn't good and that it was all over the place. I really enjoy this book I read it in one day. I kinda knew Tiffany ex best friend Carl was the one stalking and calling her. I can't wait to read part 2.

Awful Ending

I enjoyed some of the book. . There were a lot of typos in the book. And I found Tiffany's personality somewhat annoying. What an awful way to end the book though...Really?? I would read the next book to read more about Darius.

I'm so curious to see what happens in the next one...

The grammar wasn't the best, but I don't know if that was deliberate or not.

The author is guilty of not knowing how to spell..that’s shameful...I’m glad I didn’t pay for this book...I actually couldn’t wait for the story to be over

Cold (Book 1)

The story was really good. There were some mistakes throughout the book, which made it a bit hard to follow along, but it was a great read.

I left this one on my Kindle to remind me to leave a review. Unfortunately, not a kind one.

The author has little grasp on 'real life'. Example - main character is a prosecuting attorney, yet not only does she just take off for vacations whenever the mood strikes, but the only thing she works on are contracts for review.

Grammar is atrocious; punctuation is just as bad. The plot was ridiculous.

To top it off, although a spell check was obviously run, the human running the program apparently did not know the correct choice of words. I struggled through about a quarter of the book, then read the ending to see if I missed something. Nope. Even the ending, when she is facing the bad guy, she realized she was looking into the eyes of 'Satin'.

One star because she actually completed a book. This was a freebie and I feel I paid too much, but now can free up a little space on my Kindle. Sorry...

COLD? How About Frozen?

THIS title was absolutely unbelievable! I was beginning to feel like I was having an out of body experience and had become Tiff. I felt this woman's pain, surprises, disappointments, loneliness, etc. the longer the story went on and finally I think I felt more fear for her than she felt for herself. Admittedly, I never had one inkling that Carl was the crux of the entire plot! Throughout the story I kept thinking that perhaps Tiffany's best friend was behind it all and at all of a sudden she was going to reveal herself; I even considered Carl's wife, but never Carl. The suspense made it a page turner, to say the least and the character development was absolutely superb. I have little or no doubt that I will be buying the sequel. Excellent beginning with this author for me.

I hated this book. For one thing, the author is very amateur and does not develop the plot like. One moment, the character's emotions are here and the next there are somewhere else - not realistic and hard for the reader to keep up.
Additionally, the way that the author shares the main character's thoughts and feelings is very direct "This is how I feel" versus trying to make the reader feel it along with the main character.
The only reason I finished the book is b/c I have not yet been able to successfully break myself from finishing any book I start. Really wish I did for this book.
Please also be aware that this book is sexually explicit in case that is not the kind of book you are looking for.

This book was horrible. There were so many errors that even if the storyline was good, which it wasn't, I still wouldn't have been able to enjoy it. The author would say things like "satin" instead of "Satan" or "week" instead of "weak." I could go on and on about the errors but if you read this you will know what I'm talking about. I wanted to throw my kindle numerous times. I don't even know why I continued torturing myself by reading the entire book. There were a few things mentioned in the book that had no relevance to the story. Maybe they will be relevant in the sequel, but I won't find out because I won't be reading it.

I got this as a free book on Amazon, and now I know why it was free. It had great potential but everything fell flat. The writing left a lot lacking, and there were so many errors I doubt it has been edited. Yes, the drama was interesting, but that is the only thing that made me finish it. This author really should have done a little research about the professions her characters were in and added a little more detail to the surroundings. I didn't even know what city the book was based in until the end of it. Interesting concept but poorly executed.

Please, please, please! DO NOT waste your time reading this pile of horse manure. I lost part of my life to this book, please learn from my mistakes.

Bad, unoriginal story line. Horrid writing. I felt like I was reading a bad script to a Jerry Springer episode. Apparently hiring an editor was not a high priority, nor was tempting to write a good story.

I'm not normally this harsh. Good for you (authors) for getting out there and writing and getting published, but I can't even come up with a good thing to say about this book.

I would have given it less stars if I could.

Story has possibilities if given a strong edit. But with the condition it was in I wont be getting any of the next books in the series let alone considering the amount that is being asked for each novelette size book. Plus the ending was not the ending of a story but stop right in the middle of the story. The author should consider putting the series together into one stand alone book then readers will have the complete story and not several cut up ones. That being the case then the cost might be understandable when a full edit is done.

3.5 stars....I really like the storyline of this book!!! The suspense and the twists that came up were good, but my goodness it needed to be edited!!! Grammar and punctuation issues throughout the book.... then Tiffany supposed to be a lawyer, but acts like she knows nothing about the how to handle a criminal case!!! Smh.

Overall I did enjoy the book and I'm ready to see how Tiffany will overcome these obstacles! Please let her use her brain and lawyer skills in book 2!!!

Cold is the first of Sha Jones' book and I found myself gruesomely pulled into the plot and savagely entertained by the works of this new author. Where did she come from and what controls this mad writer? There's love, deceit, dishonor, murder, torture, sex, and blood in the entire Cold Series. The twist in the series keep me coming back for more. When does the madness end? Will it ever? Who is behind the madness?

So I enjoyed this story! It did have some editing issues that could be relooked at but other than that I enjoyed the actual story. It kept me on my toes I thought I knew what would happen but then I would be thrown off. There was a Lot of twist and turns and I still don't think everything is fully out. I was shocked by the ending I sure didn't see that coming! I will be reading part 2!

Awful.

Well it's a good thing this book is free because it's awful. I'm not sure who the editor is but the word mannequin is spelled wrong multiple times. here is used for hear. the grammar is awful and there are multiple other typos. not to mention the author is clearly homophobic and doesn't like gay men. Do yourself a favor don't waste your time on reading this book.

I focused on enjoying the book for what it was, pleasure. I just KNEW what was going on, but not was I taken by surprise. Very good read!! Ready to finish it off. Went straight to Amazon after finishing, but found out from reviews on the sequel that there's a 3rd installment coming. So ready to see where it goes!

Suck

this was the worst most predictable juvenile book I have ever read. when I think about the fact that I wasted 3 hours of my life reading this book it makes me want to go kill have sex with Michael and Carl and then kill Draya, and set Tiffany up for that as well.
