Spin 3

Rate this book
We’ve made it to the final chapter of Spin. This story has taught us about healing, allowing ourselves to open up, giving people second chances, and allowing ourselves to be loved, even when you’re afraid. After losing his wife, Sapphire in a tragedy that changed the entire trajectory of his life, Steel swore that he would never fall in love again. Those days of longing to have a beautiful family had become a thing of the past for him. When Sapphire was laid to rest, he thought that he’d buried his heart right along with her. That’s until Toni came into the picture. He did everything in his power to not fall in love with Toni, but it happened anyways. Toni forced him to feel again… love again... and most importantly, spin again. Together, the two of them faced many trials along the way. Ex’s from the past, a dangerously obsessed student, who had done everything in his power to get Toni all to himself, and even dealing with a jealous friend, who was on the haunt to tear them down. Even with all of this, it only made their bond grow stronger. In the end, when love came in to spin the block, it didn’t just come for a short time… it came for a long time. . Forever, if you have it.

Mannnnn, I just can’t put into words how much I loved this series being that it was my first intro to Diamond and since then I been running these sheets with her books in mind.

Now I hated Rhythm in the beginning but in this book I realized that she was just a lost girl who didn’t see her worth and her uncle played on that. I started crying when Brooklyn was talking over Rhythm grave, it’s just so sad that there’s probably so many Rhythms in the world. Her parents not around so she never felt that love and was always trying to find it somewhere else. I really wish she was given a second chance in life. I did want to slap Brooklyn at some point because girl speak up but I understand she was scared.

Wop I hope you get fucked everyday in the jail, and in his final chapter the nigga still wasn’t sorry enough talking about some I should have just beat her 🙄.

I did like the Brooklyn was smart enough to realize that she and Siego don’t need to be together and she ain’t got to business messing with a thug right now.

Now my Steel and Toni how I love your love. I can’t wait for this wedding in December. I love how Steel was always able to communicate with Toni so well. Like they would never let an argument so too far without talking about it and hugging in the end.

Now my main question is are we getting a Spin spin off👀

A solid wrap-up to the series! I loved that Toni had her own things going on and was acting grown. We love to see a woman with priorities and boundaries.

Everything else? Just... meh. Kinda anti-climactic. And honestly, we did not need any chapters from Wop. His “insight” added zero value like sir, please exit stage left and take the elevator straight down to hell lmao.

The Alecia cameo? Iconic. That’s my girl, ten toes down.

Now let’s talk editing. Whoever is proofreading these books needs a firm sit-down and maybe a refresher course. This was better than My Good Girl when it comes to typos, but still fill and feel are not the same thing. Little mistakes like that yank me right out of the story like a bad wig in a fight scene.

Overall, a decent read. Not terrible, but not shaking the table either.

So Good!!

The finale was Excellent, Toni & Zion ( Steele ) got their happy ending. So glad that Brooklyn didn’t give in to Sergio advances she has a great future ahead of her. Wog got what he deserved how could you do that too your own niece. Rymthm played a dangerous game and lost in the end.

Excellent series.

The growth throughout this series. Steel didn’t play about his family. Brooklyns maturity was everything. I say that because where most of girls would have just said f it. She didn’t.

Happy about how the story ended for Toni and Steele. He stood on BIG business and loved her beautifully. As for some other storylines that were started in other books I wish they were taken in a different direction. All in all I enjoyed the series and this book.

Omg I really loved Spin 3

Toni and Zion went thru their fair share of darma and pain and finally on top. Toni is now engage and a new mom of her daughter Zalani . Toni and Steele are planning a wedding and being parents of three. Brooklyn is now a senior in high school and planning to go to college. Temperance has 3 years left on her prison sentence she can't wait to get out and connect with Family and daughter. Wop is now serving a life sentence for killing is niece Rhythm and reliving it over and over again. His family have turned against him and his daughter can't forgive him for hurting her cousin and taking her away from her son. Wop was hurt because his daughter wasn't their when was sentenced. The spin-off from spin would loved hear about Brooklyn journey and Temprance life after prision
Love Toni and Steele can't wait for the wedding and the growth of the Zalani and Zaylan the children .

Steel and Toni, Risking It All for Love

Toni stepped out on faith and outside her comfort zone and she was able to build something with a man that was so afraid to ‘Spin’ the block!!!…
To see Steel come out his shell and show the softer side of him was amazing!!!…I love how Zayne was so happy to accept both Toni and Brooklyn as family and sharing the space he and his dad was sharing!!!…
I was so proud of Brooklyn at making a decision she knew was needed to make sure she was safe and not violating her aunt’s trust!!!…I being hopeful that Sergio is going to change his life and come back for Brooklyn!!!…
It was so good to see Alicia show up in this book and to know that her marriage is still happily flowing!!!…
Wop is exactly where he needs to be and doing the time he earned for the crime he committed against his niece and her unborn child!!!…I can’t wait for the wedding edition!!!…

Love Me Some Diamond D.

I have never read a book by Diamond D. Johnson that I have not loved! This series, "Spin," was no exception! The dynamic between Steel and Toni was awesome! The hurt Steel had to overcome due to the tragic loss of his wife was heartwrenching. I was extremely happy to see Alicia King, "Straight Outta Dade County" pop up in this story! That being said, please get editors who care about your writing as much as you and your readers do! The numerous grammatical errors detract from the story. The word "quite" was misused for "quiet" ten times. Extreme unnecessary use of a comma everywhere. Misuse of the possessive adverb "your" instead of "you're." It's all love, Diamond D!

The was a good book that wrapped up in a good ending in my opinion. Steel stood on business when it came to Toni and I loved that for her especially dealing with the Ozaire situation. I was surprised that Steel didn’t step to Terry after he stepped to Toni in the store. I like the woman support system that Toni had and how they welcomed others in supporting and encouraging each other. I don’t like that Rhythm was unalived just when she decided to turn over another leaf in life and do better for herself and her son but I did really like that Wop got set up and did dirty so he could be captured. I can’t wait to read the wedding edition and hopefully before then we will get a book about Sergio and Brooklyn.

This was worth every bit of the wait!

I was locked in from start to finish. Steel and Toni’s story was everything—real, grown, and full of love and healing. I loved how their blended family came together, and the way Steel stood on business for his woman? Yeah, that did it for me.

What really hit was how men can carry regret for choosing wrong, then turn around and be petty on social media instead of being mature, taking the loss, and moving on. That part was too real. And I loved how Toni got embraced, even by his mother-in-law. That showed growth all around.

I just know that wedding about to be a whole vibe! The story flowed smooth, didn’t feel dragged, and ended just right. I need the next book ASAP—especially to see what Temperance on when she touch down!

Long and Disappointing 😞

There were several reason why I could only give the this entire series a 2. It seems there wasn't any editing which is just shameful. Incorrect placement of commas, incorrect use of words like your vs you're (so many times) and even their, there and they're. Oh, but she could spell every brand name under the sun. So that was tacky. It was interesting that Zayne is who brought Steel and T together but once they started dating there wasn't any scenes with Zayne until the 3rd book. I don't know why it's titled Spin except for the author's constant use of the word because it definitely wasn't for the action. I don't think I would follow this author for future stories.

absolutely love this series

The characters in this book made you fall in love with love. This was such an amazing love story. I had been jaded from dating and falling in love again but this book has me believing in love again and that romance is possible with the right person but you have to be patient. Great story and I give it a million thumbs up! Toni was a firecracker but my favorite character was Steel! I loved everything about him. Diamond had me nervous that he would go to jail for beating up Ozaire or being with Khari when he beat up Kenyon . I loved how Steel was with Zayne and how he catered to Toni and all the women in his life. I can’t wait for the wedding story . Loved this book…

Pretty Good

When Toni was first introduced I did not like her at all how she came off with that “fine a$$ Toni” mess and acted so arrogant but she was the typical chick that got hit with a baby before the ring and marriage as usual. I did like that she was raising her niece and loved her as her own.
Wop I truly have no words for but I knew that girl was setting him up I just want to know how.
Brooklyn was a nice young lady and I would love a spin off of her in her adult life to see if her and her guy came back together.
Steal was a good guy overall loved how he was rap his son.
Some characters be making an irrelevant appearance and in every book she’s a character that everyone seem to worship (Alisha).

Definitely didn’t need to be a 3 book series

Awwww fine a$$ Toni is my girl, and her and Steel, I love them as a couple! Just reading their journey and how far they came. I recalled Steel was not looking for anything, or anyone, but what’s for you is for you.

It was a roller coaster regarding the aftermath of Rhythm, and the emotions that Brooklyn, and their grandma went thru, and putting themselves thru “guilt”, and “what ifs”.

Steel did his big thing and was not playing with anyone that messed with his love!

I would be remiss if did not give an honorary mention to my favorite girl Alecia! It was great seeing her make an appearance!

Great Read

Excellent way to end this series! The tragedy of losing Rhythm and another parent took Brooklyn through a trying time, but Toni loved her through it all. Sergio was a great friend to her through her tragedies as well. I'm glad they were both mature enough to walk away before problems started. Steel was an awesome man to have! He went out of his way to make and keep Toni happy. Although, she did the same for him. Their family dynamic was beautiful. Wop got exactly what he deserved. I truly enjoyed getting to see Alecia pop in the story! I love getting updates on previous characters! Awesome series! Job well done.

Really loved this series!

So much happened in this finale! Wop doing what he did and finally getting caught, Rhythm and her sad demise, Kenyon and Bryson got dealt with. Steel handled Ozaire and in the end they got their HEA! I was so glad Brooklyn chose to not get romantically involved with Sergio, he was into some dangerous stuff, hopefully he will finally leave that fast living alone. I loved how Toni loved Zayne and Brooklyn. Neither one of them played about the kids or one another! Great read!!! One word that kept being misspelled was quiet, spelled as quite, this had me mentally correcting it each time!

So Beautifully Written🤎🤎🤎

Ms. Diamond, I just want to let you know that you didn’t disappoint! First off I’m going to tell you in this review I will not give any spoilers, but I will say that this was a beautiful written love story!

I would love to read a spin off with Brooky & Sergio or even an update of Temp after lock up…just an idea….tee hee

I was so happy to see my girl Alecia King make an entrance from the Straight Out Of Dade County series! I’m hoping her and Daddy Tana attend this wedding 😳😊🥰😘…ijs 🤗🤭.

Great read!

Another great read in the books! I loved the story line and how Toni was everything to everyone in her life! The pop up from the bedder female attorney in Miami was an added bonus but I’d love to see a spinoff of Brook, her life after high school, and hopefully her spinning the block! IYKYK If I could critique one thing in this series I would say there’s a lot of unnecessary descriptions—like too much detail about clothes, atmospheres, and just overall descriptions! Overall, I really enjoyed this crew and can’t wait for the next one!

Great read

Yessssssssssss this read was everything. I love the love Steel and Toni shared for one another, it was so raw and real and I loved every minute of it. I was glad that justice was served for Rhythm's death because she didn't deserve that even though what she and Wop were doing was so wrong, it wasn't his place to take her life. I love Temp as a sister because even though she wasn't behind bars she was still heavily involved in everything. I can't wait to read about Steel and Toni's wedding because I know it's going to be grand.

Spin for sure

Been a fan for years, and I love the growth of the writing of the lead female characters .While we know that life is not a fairytale for many young girls, like Rythm and even Brooklyn, the right role model will discourage destructive behaviors, even with a mother like Temperance, but especially with an aunt like Toni.
Parents like Wop’s mom who are not fully matured, should not be raising children. Our community have so much to overcome, and bringing children into these situations are not usually the best decisions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awesome ending to a great series! I can't wait for the series. I can see Brooklyn with Sergio. Steel was that dude, and Toni recognized how blessed she was to have a seeing, supportive, and kiving man. Steel was just as honored and blessed to ha e Toni, be ause if her, he was able to spin the block again.

Family and friendships were well placed throughout this book!
Again I can't wait for the wedding!

Ate it up

Steele just made my list of book husbands. He is totally my definition of book husband material. I throughly enjoyed this book. First time reading this author, super excited to read more. The plot was really good, I like how there were multiple protagonists. It was layered perfectly. I like the different POvs, game you a different perspective. A good time was definitely had!

Outstanding love needed

This book was so amazing. I love how Toni and Steel was there for her niece when Ryythm was killed. I could not believe he would have killed his own niece after all he had done to her. I love that Mrs. Johnson includes characters from her other books. Mrs. Alecia is definitely a it girl and a bad ass lawyer so her appearances are everything. Great read can’t wait for the wedding and maybe you can throw in a book or two about Brooklyn

Loving on that mean piece of steel.

I absolutely loved this series
I am 63 and hunty I still hope I find someone who will spin for me. Toni's character is strong, educated, loving, and selfless. Steel needed her more than he knew, but I'm glad he let things grow gradually. Diamond, i am an avid reader, so you have a fan for life. Keep up the good work, looking forward to this grand wedding, and more fun amongst the girlfriends I know they will be there every step of the way.

Good Series, Awful Spelling/Grammar

I loved the series and the storyline. There were some humor and darkness. The spelling and grammar was awful though. Quite instead of quiet and repeatedly making that error back to back. I’m looking forward to Brooklyn’s series, she puts me in the mind of Beretta

I was so excited to see that the final book was released. There was a happy ending, and all the craziness was finally resolved. Since all the drama calmed down, I was reminded how bad Toni's attitude actually was. And everything else felt boring after a while. Overall, it was a nice little ending to the series, but it wasn't as enjoyable as the other books.

Loved It

I loved this series. There so many twists and near detrimental situations that could have gone worse. The love shared between Toni and Steel was admirable. The support from family and friends was felt throughout the story. I love that Diamond incorporates boss b*%+he’s in her stories. Thank you, can’t wait for the wedding.
