He’s supposed to destroy me. Instead, he claims me.
They chain me to an altar under the Blood Moon—offering me to the Wrathbound Flame. I’m a sacrifice. A throwaway.
Then he rises from the pit.
Kael is all claws, fangs, and fury—demon prince, warlord, cursed king. His eyes burn. His voice breaks me open. When he touches me, a mark flares across my chest. The bond ignites. And everything changes.
Now I’m in his bed. In his arms. Beneath him, gasping his name as fire licks across my skin.
He says I’m his.
But this bond is more than lust. It’s prophecy. And I’m the first spark in a war that could bring Hell to its knees.
Monster. Mate. Mine.
A short filthy, fast monster romance with knotting, scenting, prophecy, and a demon who won’t let me go.
This had a really odd lyrical prose style that works okay in short doses but didn’t do much here. This was short, answered no questions while raising a lot of them. I normally like fated mates but this was too short to really do much with.
I truly Love S. Alexander's stories and this series looks as Awesome as everything S. Writes. Bound to an alter as a sacrifice, she is used as a bargaining chip so the people can keep the beast from ravaging the crops. But instead of killing her, the monster realizes that she is marked as his mate. Fantastic story, well worth reading.
This book was just ok for me. Nothing is really wrong with it, I just need something more. I've tried reading other books like this, but they never work for me. So, if you like fantasies like this, then this is your book. It's written wonderfully. Not my type, but could be yours. On to the next.
Liona is chained to an alter, meant to be a sacrifice to the demon Wrath, but when he arrives and learns she’s his mate, things take a turn real quick.
I liked Kael, but I didn’t love him. Same with Liona. I liked the whole prophecy thing and her seeing herself standing by his side, but otherwise, I didn’t see anything special about this. It was okay.
Reading this was like I was back in secondary school english doing poetry work, the FMC asks a question and then immidiately knows the answer without them talking??? And the amount of times her scent is mentioned is insane, no explanation provided, no universe expansion - even the sex scenes are half baked....
Liona is meant to be a sacrifice to the demon Wrath but she is his mate and the first part of the prophesy. Wrath aka Kael will try to fight but in the end the need to claim his mate wins in this dark tale.
Good for what it was—a very short monster/prince-of-wrath romance. The little bit of spice was good, and the bit of plot worked well. I think it’ll get more interesting as the series continues.
🌶️🌶️
Tropes: • Fated mates • Captivity / forced proximity • Monster prince (prince of Wrath)/ mortal sacrifice • Monster romance
a quick and spicy read, can't go wrong with a series about the princes of hell! S Alexander packs a whole lot of story in under 50 pages and I enjoyed every page. bring on the the rest of the princes 😈🖤
I did not like te writing. It felt too quick and shallow for me. I didn’t even got to know the caracthers and the plot was known from the first page. I will not be reading from this author again.
