I believe that this might be the last book in the Krewe of Hunters series, and I have to say that I'm a little glad at that. The idea behind the ongoing series is good, but there's only so many times you can create new Krewes just to start a new love interest before it just seems a little "same old, same old".

Now I have to say that one of the things I enjoyed about this entry was that Allison and Tyler don't actually jump into bed together immediately. Graham has the pair experience sparks, but for the most part they focus on the whole "someone is killing people and Allison is in danger" stuff first. We see Allison feeling guilty about her attraction to Tyler, thinking that it's inappropriate to lust after him when people are dying all around her, people she cared about. This is a very natural reaction and one that I'm glad Graham explored here. After all, if a few of your coworkers died you probably wouldn't be solely focusing on the sparks between you and Agent Awesome-Sauce.

I also rather liked the way the book played out for the most part. The mystery was nice and the history seemed to be pretty well researched, something that I noticed in the last few books in the series as well. This is one of Graham's strong suits in this series.

Where the book falters is that there are some scenes where it just seems a little bland and I really couldn't help but wish that we'd more get to the point. I also felt that the ending was a little overly rushed, making the rationale of the killer and the reveal underwhelming. I wasn't expecting a reveal that would make me gasp, just one that felt a more built up. It just feels like Graham sort of ran out of pages and figured "OK buttercup, time to wrap this mother up". This felt a little disappointing because the book up to that point was good. I almost think that the book would've been better served by not having a big showdown scene and having the baddie arrested without the inevitable "hey, I'm kidnapping the girl so I can kill her" scene.

Overall though, this wasn't terrible. It was good to see Adam poke his head into the book. I liked the history mixed into the book and I liked that the romance took a back burner to the story. I just feel that this series has run its course and that while I wouldn't mind seeing a story centered around a pre-existing couple (much like how Nora Roberts's In Death series does this), it's time for Roberts to move on. She's gotten a fresh wind with the last few books, but I can't help but feel that she'd rather be writing something else.

4.5 Stars... This author always takes me on an extraordinary journey into the depths of history with a paranormal twist... This read was no exception; immersing her readers in the time of the Revolutionary War and adding a devastating ghostly tale, Heather Graham compiles a story that holds an intriguing mystery while giving the chill factor of a solid ghost story... I enjoy each book in this series and eagerly anticipate the next one:)

I think the impression these stories leave depends on the theme. I like those with more detailed American history. Like this one.

Even though Allison Leigh was very annoying for almost one third of the book, I liked this story a lot. The setting is Philadelphia and Landon Mansion, a place where a young woman was killed in 1777.

Allison is a historian and she works as one of the tour guides at the mansion. She is the last one to leave and she finds her colleague dead in the room that belonged to British Lord "Beast" Bedford.

Adam Harrison makes an appearance here. He only appeared in the first book so far. Since one of the board members is his friend, Tyler was sent to check what is going on. One of the reasons Allison was really annoying was because she was more than rude to Tyler while he stayed polite. She changed later and the story was quite enjoyable. The parts with history combined with the Lucy's story were done really well.

Even the ghosts are more interesting. One of them even had a sense of humour.

"No, I was walking along feeling sorry for myself, trying to sidle up next to people I passed on the street. I think I gave a few of them chills," he said, chortling to himself.

As usual, the story is more suspense/mystery focused than romance focused, even though the romance is better than in some of the previous books. Or a former Texas Ranger is enough to make it better.

Loved the history and detail of the area, country and family take on histories. The blend of romance and ghosts added to a fun story full of the Texas Krewe. The ghosts were very entertaining in this story and it was great touching base with the rest of the Texas Crewe as we did not see them much in the last book. I can’t wait for the next story, especially since we learned more about Jane and her backstory this time around.

If you follow my reviews you are probably aware that I love romantic suspense wrapped in a little paranormal woo-woo. Heather Graham is one of my favorite authors for when the mood strikes. Each of the novels can be read as standalone, as each book deals with one member of the special FBI unit and their romance. I love that each case brings us a mystery to solve and a swoon worthy guy. The Uninvited tells Agent Tyler Montague’s story as he works to solve a murder investigation.

The case is set in Philadelphia and involves the historic Tarleton House. Allison Leigh is a history professor and spends her summers working as a guide at the Tarleton House. Dressed in colonial attire, she is locking up after a busy day of tours when she discovers the body of a co-worker impaled by his own replica bayonet. While resident ghosts are good for drawing in visitors, the board is concerned because this isn’t the first bizarre accident to occur. They call Adam the head of the special FBI unit and Taylor Montague is dispatched from Virginia to investigate. Allison isn’t happy about this crew of “ghost hunters” invading the historic home, but when she begins seeing and hearing the voice of her dead colleague ..she might just change her mind. The tale that unfolds is suspenseful as they race to stop a killer.

We previously meet Agent Taylor and I was delighted to finally get his story. He is ex-military and was a Texas Ranger who helped find a missing girl with the help of a ghost. Taylor is tall and lean and looks like a linebacker. I really liked this soft spoken man. He feels like people are intimidated by his size and are quick to make judgment about him. He finds himself attracted to the sexy, refined, intelligent dark haired raven, Allison. Allison isn’t ready to deal with the murder, let alone all this ghost woo-woo, but Taylor is so patient with her. *sighs* These two were obviously attracted to each other, but the discovery and dance was paced throughout the book allowing the romance to slowly unfold. The rest of the Krewe of Hunters arrived, but as is Graham’s style they worked the case mostly in the background. Hints were dropped about whose story we will get next and I hope I am right. The list of suspects was colorful and the secondary characters including the ghosts added to the suspense and mystery.

The world building in Graham’s novels are always fun. I love the investigation aspect and piecing together the clues. Having ghosts provide clues and unlock lost mysteries is always intriguing. In this type of tale the story lines follow a predictable recipe; murder, boy meets girl, search for clues, fall in love, solve the case. Graham takes this recipe and mixing up a delightful new batch each time and I always find myself completely immersed in the tale. I love that the romance is just a side dish to the mystery. She knows how to serve it and this one was spicy. I enjoyed watching it develop, the awkwardness, tension, that first kiss..eep! While there is sexual content it is all implied and should not offend. I loved the dead colleague and fans of the Ghost Bartholomew should be delighted by him. While I had my suspicions about whom the murderer was, Graham surprised me with a twist at the end.

I recommend The Uninvited to fans who like paranormal suspense, crime, mystery and a side of romance. There is no news on the next book in this series, but I will be sure and update you. Below you will find links to reviews of previous Krewe of Hunter novels.

Review: Uninvited by Heather Graham
5 STARS I know on Heather's krewe books my ratings as been up and down a lot it seems. This one has been more believeable if you believe in the possibilty of ghosts. Univited as a lot of history that I enjoyed and have not thought about in years. Makes me want to go and visit historcal sites. See Valley Forge, to go on the Ghost Tours visit the historical buildings of Philadelphia. Thier were some love scenes that I skipped over. Most of the story Univited takes place in and around the Tarleton-Dandridge house. (I tried to look up and see if it was real. Could not but the names appear around that time and place.) In the Tarleton-Dandridge house is open to the public and gives tours. The tour guides dress in period costumes and weapons are real but no gunpowder. Julian Mitchell was a guide but snuck away after lunch to play with his band for chance at a paying job. He snuck back into the house during the last 2 tours. He planned to beg Alliso forgiveness after the house was closed. Allison loves the house she has lived her whole life in that neighborhood. She is also a professor at the University and writes papers about the house and time. After She is alone in the house ready to lock up she finds Julian his jaw was stabbed on his bayonett. Thier was blood all over the area. The police question her for hours and then the FBI Krewe agent was sent to find out if thier was a problem or if weird suciede. Tyler Montague used to be a Texas Ranger and now works for FBI in special unit they call Texas Krewe. They all can see ghosts sometimes. Tyler is lead on this case. Tyler takes her back to the house and has her show him around even though its late. They find that the attic where Julian had his until the tours was over ransacked. So police came back to search the room. Tyler decides after looking over all the deaths at the Tarleton-Dandridge house in the last 10 years needs to be looked at more. So he calls in the full Texas Krewe agents. Allison the next day sees the ghost of Julian and he asks her to help him. She faints. Everywhere she seems to go Julian shows up. She goes to counceling and that doesn't help. She even gets drunk. Allison does not want to be alone so she sticks close to Tyler. Tyler figures out she sees a ghost even if Allison does not believe in ghosts. Finally Tyler can see Julian and then his Krewe comes and they can all see him. The Texas Krewe and Allison stay in the historcal house to figure out who killed Julian and the others in 10 years. Who put a tourist in the hospital with a coma who's family was at the house and their boys asked a lot of questions about the ghosts. Thier is another death that happens. The Texas Krewe sets up camaras too see what is happening in the house. Their ME looks at the dead bodies to get clues. Julian ghost tells them that he did not kill himself. Allison tells a lot about the history around the house, town and new country trying to form. The History is told in ways that make it alive and got me thinking about a little different way. The story line makes sense if you just imagine that the ghosts can see, talk and appear to people. I had a good time reading this novel. I plan to read more from Heather in the future. I want to go back sometime and read her novels of the first Krewes Unit. This makes the fourth novel that I have read with the Texas Krewes but hopefully not the last one. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 8/28/2012 PUB Harlequin HarlequinMIRA

I was in the mood for a ghost story so I picked up The Uninvited by Heather Graham. Graham’s Krewe of Hunter series is my go to when I need a paranormal read. Generally they are pretty light reads and the ghost aspect of the book is always satisfying.

Part of the reason I love this series is that it is steeped in history. Naturally, some aspects are fictionalized but it is always something that could have happened. The Uninvited focuses on the Revolutionary War. I feel like the Revolutionary War gets the short straw a lot because it is the furthest in our past. Truly though it is amazing, nothing short of a miracle, that the Patriots won. I enjoyed this ghostly backstory.

I enjoyed Allison and Tyler. Allison is completely against the Krewe coming in. To put it bluntly she was a bit of a bitch about it. I can certainly see why she behaved the way she did but she made assumptions and that generally doesn’t go over well. Tyler was your stereotypical Texan: all manners and chivalry. Honestly they worked well together.

The Uninvited by Heather Graham was thoroughly enjoyable. I completely missed the who-dun-it and got a great ghost story in the process. I was lucky enough to acquire the next seven books in a trade from PaperBackSwap so I’ll be set for my next ghost story craving!

I hate when heroines are bitc**y to the heroes but are so trusting and accepting of everyone else. It amazes me when authors think this is acceptable and Allison is just like that. I am surprised Tyler didn’t slap her attitude right off her face at the beginning. Yet, we are supposed to buy them as a couple. Tyler deserved better.

These books are in general predictable but enjoying the ride of seeing the Krewe figure it out is the best part. The romance sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. This book’s romance plot didn’t work for me, and the story was more easily predictable on the villain than others I’ve read. What I will give this book credit for is engaging the ghosts more into the story and also felt like the Krewe did more investigating in a “normal” law enforcement sense.

Like I state I didn’t buy the romance and the mystery was only semi-engaging, but the kicker was the final scene when Allison is kidnapped is so unrealistic it was almost laughable and that is bad considering I’m listening to a book about a paranormal FBI agents. The motive and final confrontation was boring and held no sense of danger. I do like the series in general and I’m wondering if future books get better or worse.

OK, I knew going in this would be formulaic, but still, I wish the author had tried to hide it at least a little bit better.

I was expecting to get at least a few good ghostly chills, but there were none of them to be had. Even the ghosts in here are pretty dull.

And while I can suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy a ghost story, there were some things I just couldn't get past. Like the first death (spoilers ahead). The guy dies sitting in a chair with his Revolutionary War era musket (with bayonet attached) under his chin. Now, I'm no professor of military history, but that seemed weird to me, as those guns were ... what's the word? ... long. Five seconds with Google tells me that, yes, they were very long. At least 54 inches. With an extra 18 for the bayonet to bring the thing to a minimum of six feet. That's one tall chair.

Sure, it's a minor little thing, but it's so easy to get it right it's annoying when an author doesn't bother to take the time.

Having finished the books I brought with me while traveling, I bought this book at one of the airport stores because there was not much else that struck my interests. I am not familiar with this author and have never read anything by her before so I was a bit surprised that it had such a heavy romance element. The characters, especially the two leads, reminded me of those found in historical romances. Not necessarily a bad thing; just unexpected.

I actually liked the book overall; the story itself was ok. I found certain parts to be draggy and the use of red herrings to intensify the "mystery" was a little much. Very little subtlety in this book, but perhaps the fans of this genre are not looking for that. Despite all that, the book peaked my interest enough to want to sample a few others. It is an interesting mix of genres, but it is most definitely light reading.

Another great book in The Krewe of Hunters series.

It takes place in Philadelphia (Philly), PA. It's mainly about the Revolutionary War. Quite interesting. Historically, it's about Lucy Tarleton and "Beast" Bradley.

Re, present time, this one is Tyler & Allison's story. Tyler is a former Texas Ranger that left to become part of the 2nd Krewe. A real cowboy. Allison is a professor of History and a Tour Guide at the Tarleton/Dandridge house. This girl knows her stuff, I tell ya! They make an ideal couple.

Allison's coworker is murdered, shame too cause he was gonna be a rock star! Anyway, for that & other reasons, the Krewe comes to investigate.

You meet a couple of ghosts, experience more attempted & actual murder, etc, etc. Good story, check it out.

Allison Leigh works part time as a guide of an historical Philadelphia house where a revolutionary war murder is part of its fame. When a co-worker is murdered with a bayonet in mysterious circumstances, the FBI's elite Krewe of Hunters Team comes in to help. She is very skeptical of the 'ghost hunters' but also attracted to agent Tyler Montague.

Loved the characters and rich history in the book. Definitely enjoyed the romance as well, would have given it a higher rating except this time, I just didn't buy the motive/killer. That said, the Krewe are great and I will definitely read more in this series.

Allison is a historian and has the perfect job. She gets to dress in period costume and be a docent in a home built in the revolutionary period and tell tourists about it's history. It seems this house has a lot of history and Allison is very close to it. Some people even say it has ghosts.

During one such tour, a couple of precocious boys are asking some very good questions and Allison is enjoying the discussion. She speaks with the parents then sends everyone on their way. As she is locking up she looks into the office and finds a co-worker dead. Since this is the 3rd death of a suspicious nature, the Krewe team is called in.

This is a good read and the supernatural aspect was fun.

Recommendation: Yes, pick it up for a mystery involving paranormal activities.

The Uninvited is the eighth book in the Krewe of Hunters series by Heather Graham and published in August of 2012. This plot revolves around Tyler Montague - the fourth member from the second group of elite paranormal investigators of The Texas Krewe - and Allison Leigh - a noted historian.

Krewe are a secret FBI unit with each member of the unit honing a particular psychic talent of their own making them the paranormal investigating team. This unit was created to deal with murders having supernatural undertones and paranormal activities. Headed by paranormal investigator Adam Harrison, the elite unit of paranormal investigators is called on to solve cases linked to historical mystery involving legendary crime and serial killings, war events and hauntings. The stories in the book series are located mostly in Virginia and New Orleans, with some well-known legends used as themes. The Krewe are divided in three distinct groups. The first group is led by Jackson Crow called as the original Krewe of Hunters, the second group is led by Texas Ranger Logan Raintree called as the Texas Krewe and the third group is a unit of its own.

Allison Leigh finds Julian Mitchell impaled by his own replica bayonet, fallen over Bedford desk at the end of the final tour of Tarleton-Dandridge House. It is famed to be a haunted mansion too primarily because of not only the number of people who have died in mysterious conditions - tragic history - but also because of the legend that British Lord Brian Bradley aka Beast Bradley had murdered Lucy Tarleton in a rage and left her to die at the hands of her father. And now Julian Mitchell dies in mysterious conditions which warrants the presence of FBI's special unit The Texas Krewe to investigate. And Tyler Montague is given the lead before his team joins the investigation. But all doesn’t seem as straight forward as it is especially when the criminal in question has a fixation to past and present and also with Allison.

Allison considers Tyler and his team as Ghost Hunters while Tyler truly believes in their ability to connect to the dead in the hope to solve a complicated mystery. Poles apart and so different, it was an intriguing journey to read and follow that Allison and Tyler take. Who is the uninvited into the house that is causing the murders? Is that person corporeal or a ghostly spirit? A journey that takes the reader through the history of United States specific to the time founding fathers fought for freedom from British and the little lies that were shoved under by the victors who told the tale. And we get to see the mighty Texas Ranger Tyler Montague fall for the ethereal Allison Leigh.

Tyler Montague had been a very silent character since his introduction in the series by Heather. I always wondered how is story would be told and what his abilities would be It came as a surprise for me when I learned more about it - not the usual stereo-type macho-man Tyler ends out to be, but much much more than that.

A reader like me who hadnt read any of Heather's previous series, when a character who has been much spoken of in the current series, it would be exciting to see that character being brought in again. Exactly what I felt when I got to finally meet Adam Harrison the spearhead for the FBI division, Krewe. It was finally nice to meet him and learn more about him.

Although the plot for the historical part is pure fiction, Heather masterfully uses the real history blending in with fiction. All her plots have a standard theme – a story from past that reflects the crime happening in the present. However, every past that Heather brings forth are different kinds – molded perfectly to the ability of the lead investigator from the Krewe of Hunters. I like that she brings justice to past while capturing the criminal in the present at the end. Makes for a very satisfactory read.

Coming to the characters in this book, although I hadn’t warmed up to Allison Leigh much in the beginning as the plot picked on she came through with tremendous courage. Tyler had been a hidden character so far. It was interesting to see him evolve in the plot. As always the romance part of the mystery is shorter than any romance novel however it was very sweet to see how Allison and Tyler find love eventually.

A ride through history trying to know what is fact from fiction while solving a string of murders keeps the reader at the edge as the plot proceeds. Another successfully thriller with the paranormal touch filled with mystery, intrigue and romance.

Spoiler Alerts:

1. After finally meeting Adam Harrison in this series, I am keen to start the books in which he had originally been part of. I have the Harrison Investigation Series by Heather Graham that definitely are prequels to this series in my list yet to read. Perhaps after I finish this series.

2. There is indeed a Dandridge in Philadelphia and a Tarleton in bygone era. And that the mansion – Tarleton-Dandridge house – indeed existed.

3. Heather mentions about a McDooley's pub in Philadelphia. Although I didn’t find one in Philly I found one in Boston though. Perhaps Heather based her pub on this. More about the Boston pub here: https://www.mrdooleys.com/.

I enjoyed the ghostly elements in this romantic suspense. My rating 4.25.

Allison is a local history professor and a docent at a historic mansion, the Tarleton-Dandridge House in Philadelphia. The house served as a British base in 1777 when British Lord “Butcher” Bedford reportedly murdered, Lucy Tarleton. The Tarleton family were supposedly supportive of the British, but Lucy secretly worked to take information to Washington’s troops. The house has had a history of strange deaths over many years.

At the end of a tour, Allison discovers one of her young colleague’s dead in the study. It appears to be a bizarre suicide but at least one member of the board doesn’t believe this. He calls in a very special FBI “Krewe”, a team that studies paranormal events.

Agent Tyler doesn’t make a good first impression on Allison. That could be because she has been grilled for hours by the police, but more importantly, she isn’t thrilled to have ‘ghost hunters’ traipsing through the carefully preserved house. Allison reluctantly works to guide Tyler in investigating the house where they find a ransacked attic. Allison continues to resist the paranormal elements until events force her to see otherwise. Tyler tries to explain to Allison that there may be paranormal forces involved but it is likely that the rummaging and murder were done by living humans.

A second person associated with the house dies in another bizarre ‘accident’. When it looks like Allison may be the next target, she finds herself sticking more closely with Tyler and their closeness turns to personal interest. Can Tyler and his team keep Allison safe while racing to find the true killer?

I liked Allison’s strong character and really enjoyed the quiet, determined personality of Tyler. His teammates are interesting and apparently the subject of other books in this series, which I would be interested in reading. The mystery is full of twists and a handful of suspects with red herring clues that kept me wondering until near the villain reveal.

I haven’t read Heather Graham for a number of years and I was pleased to enjoy this romantic suspense/paranormal romance where the mystery was primary and the romance a secondary element that added to the overall story. I recommend this to fans of paranormal mystery with romance.

What Did I Think?
I couldn't say anything bad about this series if I tried. It was a reread for me and I enjoyed it as much the second...or was it the third? time round as I did the first. Love ghost stories and this entire series is ghostly. The people that compose the Krewe of Hunters have unique gifts that appeal to the sense of the supernatural. There is usually a little history before the "NOW" part... and the history of Philadelphia and the Revolutionary War that was woven into the story was as fascinating as the ghost itself. This series will appeal to those that love history, romance, mystery, suspense, and of course the main dish...a excellent ghost story.

This book combines 3 of my favorite genres - paranormal, romance, and history - so is it any wonder I loved it! Heather Graham weaves history into her books depending on where they are set, and this one was set in Philadelphia, so we got a lot of information on Philadelphia that I didn't know. Of course there were ghosts, and docent Allison Leigh thought she was going crazy when a friend of hers, who died in the mansion, started following her around, trying to talk to her. One of the members of the board called in the Krewe of Hunters to get to the bottom of things, and they sent a private detective who is consulting with them for this case, Tyler Montague. Allison doesn't take to Tyler at all, but is tasked with helping him because she is an expert on the history of the house. Not long after that, another friend of Allison's, and a member of the board, dies under mysterious circumstances, so there is a sense of urgency to solve the case, especially when it appears that Allison is being targeted by the killer.

One thing I really liked about this book was the way the romance developed slower than in some of the other books in this series, so it felt more natural. The mystery was interesting, and the pacing was very well done. The characters were likable and relatable, and the setting was described in detail, which was appreciated. The conclusion was satisfying, as well.

All in all, I enjoyed this book very much, and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

5/5 stars.

The Uninvited by Heather Graham offers both a thrilling suspense and a historical journey. I love the way she combines history and fiction. Creating a unique and entertaining read, she ends up with a masterpiece like this book. The characters are fun, engaging, and intelligent. Some are just average normal people who get caught up in deadly situations. A historian returns from taking a group of tourists out and finds her musician friend dead. What looks to be suicide, is actually a murder. But the evidence is like finding a needle in a haystack. That and with all the past deaths from the historic building a group of special FBI agents arrive to the scene. The Krewe of Hunters are involved in anything paranormal and there is plenty of that happening in this book! I loved it. Humor, romance, and mystery are the famous trademarks of this talented writer. I found them all here in this story. Searching for a deadly suspense edge-of-your-seat kind of read, there's a lot of that here, too. The Uninvited is action-packed and well-written.

I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

My main thought coming out of this book was that everything was a stretch. Not the paranormal stuff, but the way people reacted. It seemed like people did things because she needed to make the plot go from point A to point B, not because she wrote characters that would react that way.

The story told with the history was a cool one, even if how it led to the killer's motives was super jumping the shark.

Wow was this ever a story that pushed founding father chic to an annoying degree. I like the history here, but the way it's laid out and just the ways it's empathized made me roll my eyes. Though the underlying theme of 'the whole truth doesn't degrade the past but lifts it up' was a refreshing one.

Out of all the books in this series I've read, this was the one that stretched why the non-FBI person needed to come into the investigation the most. The way everyone jumped to needing the supernatural crew after one person died in a weird way was also a stretch. I don't get why it was brought up so quickly. It seemed like a jump just to get the plot going.

This one gets a 2.5 so I rounded up. I haven’t been this frustrated with a Krewe book since the beginning and let me tell you, this one got me! The stories were good but darn it it all!!! First, Heather you need to keep track of your own characters because I went back and checked and you keep mixing up hair colors (this time Kelsey’s). Second, why bring up the fact that “he likes her” talking about Beast Bradley but never introducing his ghost? Why was Lucy murdered? And was the person who murdered her in love with her? The assumption is there but the actual story? No. Why didn’t she give the baby to it’s father? We never even know if it’s a boy or girl! Or what happened to Stewart Douglas. Or Beast Bradley… why bring them up 50,000 times and say no one knows and they never returned and blah blah. Did Bradley get murdered too??? Girl get it together because the historical side had soooo much potential and you threw it the hell away. I can’t forgive the wasted story. I’ve NEVER rated any of the Krewe this low and if I didn’t adore Tyler and Julian, I’d give it a 2.

I loved this. Allison's a historian and professor who during the summer gives tours of Landon Mansion. One night she finds her co worker dead while she's locking up.

Tyler's unit of FBI is called in because one of the board members of the mansion knows Adam Harrison who started the Krewe of Hunter.

At first it's thought a tragic accident but they soon learn that Julian's death wasn't an accident. His ghost is insisted that someone killed him for one and another the wound they find.

Allison's a skeptic at first thinks she's just stressed and imagining Julian's ghost. However she finally realized that he's really there and so is Lucy Tarleton who once lived in the house.

Someone is killing and hurting people to keep a secret they find. I was wrong on my guess of who was behind it all which was good cause like twists I can't guess all the time. Though did think of one the twists before Allison would believe it was true.

Another great book with ghosts helping solve murder and find the truth.

The Tarleton/Dandridge House in Philadelphia was the home of a patriotic family who feed information to the troops at Valley Forge when Philadelphia was occupied by the British. Ghosts haunt the house. Allison Leigh, professor of history, is a docent at the museum. Another docent is murdered in a gruesome way. One of the Board members brings in the Krewe of Hunters from the FBI, who specialize in paranormal activities. Tyler Montague was a Texas Ranger who joined the FBI because of his paranormal abilities. Allison is skeptical at first, but it becomes clear, she is the target for the ghosts, who want to communicate through her. But, the Krewe knows, it's not the paranormal the living need to fear, it's the all too real present day murderers. Another entertaining read in the long running series. Always enjoyable, a little romance, a little haunting.

Murder for the Truth.

5 gold stars plus 5million more again and again and so on. Is murder the way to go for the truth to History. No. This book shows us the greed raises it ugly head again this time the truth about a small baby boy who was saved from a Patriot who thought the his mother was no longer a True Patriot but a Tractor who slept with the enemy. But the truth was that she was a true Patriot who risked her life over and over for Washington's Army. Then many years later a man who thought that he was a Patriot was killing in the name of what a true Patriot should be but, he was not a true Patriot just a COLD BLOODED MURDERER. THE REALLY PATRIOT ARE THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DIED TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY WHAT IT IS TODAY.
