If he hasn't conquered a country and forced you to marry him, is he even really trying?
It's been eight long years since Inna walked out of her Bear's life so she could be married off to another kingdom. When invaders strike in the middle of the night, she finds herself as the last remaining royal in the line of succession. Little does she know that the conqueror of Candon is someone she knows all too well.
In A Bind is a spice-forward, second chance story. This is the second standalone novella in the World of Weyvar. You do not need to read the other Weyvar books to enjoy this book, but you may want to read The Gem of Sykis first as an introduction to Inna and her sisters. Detailed TW can be found on the author's website.
Okay, so I've been slacking on reading anything in the Weyvar world. Slap me now, I know! This little beauty was so fun and spicy. Conquering a kingdom for her? Swwoooooon. As usual, Becca Fogg delivers! Now, to go rectify my clearly inane lack of World of Weyvar reading!
Hello Inna, eldest of the Sykis sisters. I have read the Gem of Sykis, which was about one of Inna's sisters and I LOVED IT. But the first book I read by Becca Fogg was Plots, Schemes and Scandalous Means. I didnt realize when I read the first two books that they were all in the same world. But what a world it is. I will say that those two books snared me, but that's not why we are here. Seriously just read those books. This book is about a little fawn and her bear. Inna and her Bear. I have been waiting for more books about the Sykis sisters and now we have Inna. Before Inna was wed to another kingdom for political purposes she would sneak about her own kingdom for fun and games. One night she meets her Bear. He claims her and dominates her in every way she didn't even know she wanted. It is beyond all the spiciness. The two of them see each other for about a year before Inna gets sold off in marriage and disappears from Bears life. Bear and his little fawn don't know each others true identities. So Inna disappears. Years later her new kingdom is invaded and all the royals are killed except for her. She finds out a few days after the invasion why. Its because her Bear has come back to claim her again. He told her she was only for him and now he is back to prove it, by conquering her kingdom and making her his queen. There is so much to this book, and not enough. It is a full on ride. Warning!!! This is a very over the top high spice book with dominance and bondage, but with that bondage comes love and permission and desire and want, well you get it. I will not give spoilers because this book needs to be read. The fawn and the bear are only two of the incredible characters in this book, but their love story is incredible. This was an easy read and doesn't take long, but enjoyable the entire time. Don't wait, read it now. If you haven't read the other books i the Weyvar Kingdom, what are you waiting for? Same world but all standalone and all different themes and people.
In a Bind by Becca Fogg was such a fun, spicy, and addictive read that had me hooked from the start. Hale and Inna are absolute perfection together their chemistry is off the charts, and I loved the way they balance each other out. The nicknames alone made me swoon Hale calling her his little fawn and Inna calling him her bear gave their dynamic such a sweet yet primal edge. The spice in this book is absolutely top-tier 🔥 and Becca Fogg knows exactly how to deliver tension that keeps the pages turning. The intimacy feels passionate, intense, and completely tied to their personalities, which made it even more believable and delicious to read. What I really appreciated was that the plot moved smoothly without ever overshadowing the romance. There’s just enough storyline and action to keep everything flowing and engaging, but it never distracts from what we’re all here for the couple and their connection. Hale as the “only has eyes for her” hero was everything I needed, and Inna’s strength and vulnerability made her incredibly relatable. Together, they are a couple you root for immediately and can’t get enough of. This book has all the hallmarks of a great high-spice romance: an intense bond, action woven into the story, and a relationship that feels both tender and wild at the same time. Overall, In a Bind is a 4.5-star read for me sexy, addictive, and a must-read for fans of action-packed romances with obsessive heroes who would do anything for their girl. Becca Fogg is definitely an author I’ll be reading more from!
I received this ARC copy for my honest review. Please note, I have not read the first two books in this series, but I do feel that this book is a stand-alone, and you do not need to read them to enjoy this book.
This book is spicy romantasy, second-chance, and spicy it is. Bear and Fawn (not their real names) start an intimate situationship that continues for quite some time, until she must leave. She leaves to marry the son of a king. Years later, Bear finds her when he invades her kingdom and takes over the throne. Though they are not the same as they were, the chemistry is still hot, and Fawn is confused about what she wants in life. I enjoyed this story and plan to go back and read the other two books in the series.
When you read a novel that so perfectly stands on its own while making you long to dive deeper into the world being built, you know you have something magical in your hands. That's exactly what Becca has given with her latest book.
Inna and Hale have the perfect combination of enemies to lovers while keeping the flames hot in the bedroom. But will she stay in a place she doesn't want to be just for the man who stole her heart? I personally loved finding out while falling in love with the side character that made the world feel that much more real.
but dont take my word for it, Go grab this book and dive head first into this passionate couples lives. Just be warned, you might find yourself in the hardwood store looking at rope in a whole new light.
I received this as a Arc copy this is my free and honest review. This book is the 3rd on a series, I have not read the first two. However, it stands on its own and I do not feel that I am left in the dark not having read the other two. After reading this one I am going to go back and read the others because I enjoyed the world so much. This book is VERY SPICY and the spice starts very soon into the book. This is one of the few second chance romances that I really liked. I like the use of flashbacks to drive the narrative. The characters are loveable and I hope to learn more of them in the future.
He is so obsessed with her from the first time they met. They were seeing each other for a few months before she had to end their trysts to go get married. He calls her little fawn and she calls him Bear. She married a prince in a kingdom that was ruled by a very rough and mean man. She ends up basically running the country on behalf of the King. Seven years pass and the castle Inna lives in is under seige and her husband and his family all end up dead. Hale keeps her in the dungeon when he first conquers the castle.
Is there any chance that Inna will accept Hale? Will she leave? If you want to know what happens.. PLEASE READ THIS!!
This is the first book of this series that I've read and I have to say it was so good, I can't wait to go back to read the first two ;) This is a spicy romantasy second chance romance. The author did a fab job with the world building, characters and plot. Inna and Hale, or Fawn and Bear, get their chance to reconnect after he conquers her kingdom. They do start off with an enemies to lovers antagonism but the heat between them was hot! And yes, the spice starts early in the story ;P I liked the use of flashbacks to give me the best reading experience and love that they got their HEA. Good fun!
I did not read the first two books in the series, but I feel that this can be read as a standalone. This is a good and compelling read. I like the main characters of Inna (Fawn) and Hale (Bear). I like their history as I feel it gives more gravitas to the story. This is a very spicy book, from early on in the book, but I feel that it didn’t detract from the story. This is a very enjoyable 4 read!
Second chance romance in a fantasy setting. I love the World of Weyvar. This is the third book in the world but it can be read as a standalone. Situationship that ends due to life duties. A kingdom conquered for love and challenges that come from rekindling something from the past. A spicy book, that is well written that goes with the plot without overpowering it.
I received this book as an ARC, this is my free and honest review.
Heartfelt, second chance romantasy with plenty of spice! I loved this book, it was just what I needed at this moment in my life and THANK YOU Becca for writing it. Can’t wait to visit this one again and again.
This is the first book of hers I have read, and I honestly love it! For someone who hadn't ready previous books of hers I was able to keep up within it well. The writing was good and the story line kept me interested throughout!
I love a strong woman who finds a man that compliments her… and showers her with gifts, and maybe ties her up a bit. Becca has done it again with this one! I love the World of Weyvar and can’t wait for the next story!
A great well written story. I struggled to relate with the FMC constantly trying to leave because even if she didn't want to be Queen there was still so much going for her, but eventually I realized it was part of her character arc, and it was super well done.
