Hi! I'm Manish Patel, and I’m on a mission to share the beauty and depth of the Hindi language with the world. My journey as a scholar and author is rooted in a deep love for India’s linguistic heritage, which led me to earn a Ph.D. in Hindi Literature from the University of Delhi, following intensive studies at JNU and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). My academic work has been particularly shaped by the study of medieval poetry and the socio-political power of literary traditions.

As the author of the 'Practical Hindi' series, I believe that learning a language should be an adventure, not a chore. My books are designed to bridge the gap between academic rigor and everyday conversation, making the Hindi script, grammar, and local nuances accessible, effective, and fun for learners everywhere.

With over six years of global teaching experience, I have had the privilege of sharing Hindi with students at Aarhus University in Denmark, the University of Delhi, and the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi. Currently, I am honored to serve as a Visiting Faculty at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru.

I love cooking, swimming, and eating dark chocolate. I’m also the person who always takes the stairs instead of the elevator!
