Sigh. I feel bad for Mike. Broken heart. I feel even worse for Alicia though! She is missing and a clue of blood was the only thing left behind. Guess who found that clue? Bee and Ruby. Something has been going on with a local named Alicia for the past couple of weeks. She has been more ornery and spiteful than usual. Bee is going to find out why.
And Mike, his ex girlfriend warned Bee against him and then Bee caught Mike in a couple of lies. Will they work out their differences? Will Mike open up and tell Bee what’s really going on or will the two break up? It stinks because I won’t know until the next book which will be published I have no idea when!
I guess in the meantime I’ll move on to another read. Let’s see… lemme check my To Read lists of probably 200 books! Who’s the lucky winner?! Oh! I know! Next is “Hex to Nothing” Book 18 from Lily Harper Hart’s Supernatural Speakeasy Cozy Mystery series. Great series. Now to find out with Ofelia, Sully, Oscar, and Felix are up to…
It’s great to see Bee and Ruby back in action, although Bee still kinda hesitates to let her get into too much action since Ruby’s a mom now. But Ruby makes a good driver for when Bee does need to go do something stealthy, lol. The missing person case that turned into a murder was a puzzler, but Bee finally found that last clue and had to face off with a killer. She nailed that of course, and luckily the police had good timing to come take over. The town of Mystery could live mystery-free at least for now anyway.
Another good, attention-keeping book from Ms. Point! I loved how this series went from food truck to brick-and-mortar bakery. I like the way the two protagonists are so very different in almost every way, but keep a wonderful friendship. This book has a lot going on. Lots of twists and turns with a good solid ending. Looking forward to the next one!
Things have settled down. Bee’s Bakery is thriving with regular customers every day. Ruby is back to working at the bakery. Alicia, a local, has been more obstinate than usual. Then she disappears. The only thing left behind is blood. Bee is determined to find out what has happened. Another great mystery from Rosie A Point.
Loved this and the book before it, both cleverly written from Bee’s perspective. She takes the lead running the bakery and piecing together clues about a murder that has the whole town of Mystery in an uproar, while giving Ruby time with her new family. Great writing with lots of twists and turns. It’s another page turner.
