What happens when the heart refuses to follow the rules?

Naomi Blackford and Christian Valentine have maintained the perfect a no strings attached, no complications, just mind-blowing sensual experiences whenever they meet at their mutual space. He handles high-stakes contracts by day; she runs her successful escort business by night. Their worlds couldn’t be more different, but for those stolen hours together, nothing else exists.

The engagement was meet, enjoy, and part ways - with zero expectations.

But when Christian finds himself counting the minutes until their next encounter and imagining a future beyond their boundaries, he knows change could destroy the dynamic of what initially began as the perfect arrangement. He doesn’t realize that Naomi’s been fighting the same battle—desperately clinging to their rules while her heart pulls her in a direction that crosses their line.

They thought they were smart enough to keep emotions out of the equation. Now, Christian and Naomi must decide if what happens between sessions is worth risking everything they’ve built apart.

From Escort To Wife!

Christian was an attorney, and Naomi owned an escort service. Christian needed a date for an event, so he went to Naomi for help. She ended up being his date for the evening. Everything went perfectly well. Naomi stepped away from her rules, and she and Christian started meeting twice a week. Feelings got involved, and things got complicated. Naomi couldn't trust her feelings, because of her failed marriage. Christian was nothing like her bum of an ex.
I can't wait for Naomi's friend, and Christian's brother to officially meet each other! I can tell they're going to be something else! Thank you Ms. Norris! You always come through, and never disappoint! ❤🔥

Christian and Naomi

Loved this story. Naomi and Christian were meant to be with each other, but Naomi had her rules and fear stopping her to getting her HEA.
Stephanie dealt with these issues with the finesse she possess.
As you read about Naomi and Christian journey you will realize how trauma can impact your life and the decisions you make.
As always the Valentine men are on point and having all the brothers show up was fantastic.
Family love is important and is very visible in this great first book of the St. Louis Valentine family.
Great job Stephanie, you continue to amaze me with your talent.
Looking forward for book two, will it be Ethan or Elijah?

great read

I’ve been reading from a child. I mean from the babysitters club, Nancy Drew, to other great books from great authors. I say this because I know when a book is good and the first chapter is always what lets me know if the book is worth it. I don’t just read words, I read placement of words, sentence structure and details. This is one of the great books I’ve read. I understood Naomi because I too have a Gerald that I’m currently dealing with. Christian is a great person. So patient and kind. A true king. Definition of a real man. I won’t say too much but I will say I enjoyed this read.

All I can say is that these Valentine men are good men. They do not play with a woman's heart and don't want theirs played with either.

Now Naomi, I had empathy for what she was going through, but dang, the sister was working my last nerve. She was too old (I believe 43) to be this too indecisive and not embracing the man who showed her what a real relationship looks like. I was ready to roll up and snatch her silly.

Daddy Ron was a pure man whore, out and around the country.

Absolutely loved Christian's story and can't wait for the next Valentine story.

Rules of Engagement

This was a pretty good introduction to the St. Louis Valentines. I liked Christian and Naomi together. He showed her that she could be loved the right way and not have to deal with the same things she did with her ex. He showed her consistency even when she was pushing him away and trying to keep their relationship from being all that it could be.

I’m looking forward to more from the St. Louis Valentines and I’m hoping to get more from Titan as well and seeing how he integrates with his brothers.

In this book we are introduced to the St. Louis Valentines officially. Christian Valentine is similar to his cousins but with a southern swag. Unfortunately I felt he deserved more from Naomi for a lot of the story so it was hard to root for them. I completely understand where she was at mentally and why but she should have let him go be happy elsewhere. But what’s a love story without a HEA?! Renting a whole manison to hookup for a year is wild but I loved it!

Some rules need to be broken

Naomi is so organized , professional, driven and guarded. She wasn't prepared for a man. Christian is organized, professional, driven and smitten by Naomi. The cat and mouse game they play is intriguing and romantic. Naomi has huge walls but Christian is a demolition artist. Well written and intriguing. Christian 's father drops a new bombshell on he and his brothers. I can't wait for Elijah and his story. Great read...

Exhausted but Pleasing

I love Naomis's & Christian story. But Naomi was another one of them women who truly Annoyed the mess out of me. To go so far with him then kept renigging on him. Frustrating! When All he ever did was show her his whole heart from beginning to end. I ended up loving her for him Only because that's who he loved. Christian was consistent No denying it! Love me some him!

Rules of engament

A very complicated but enlightening story. The real value of supportive friends and family and how helpful these relationships are in navigating trauma of all kinds, but especially failed and deceitful love relationships.
But the instant attraction and friendship, love and loving is 💯
Love page turning story! Another masterpiece by Stephanie Nicole Norris! 👍🏾👍🏾

Yesss!

Naomi really irked me in the beginning, but she definitely redeemed herself at Christian’s award ceremony. Naomi’s traumatic, past relationship almost caused her to miss the best thing that she would ever have. The book was well written, flowed well and kept my attention. I can’t wait to read more about these St. Louis Valentines. Daddy Valentine was a rolling stone!

I love me a Valentine!

Nice slow burn. Christian and Naomi's story was about trauma, love, trust, and fear. I love your stories because the characters seem true and have real issues. Let me get Elijah and Frankie’s full story before the wedding. I know Frankie is going to keep Elijah on his toes.

Situationship to Forever

Naomi and Christian agree to a situationship with struck rules. After a year of spending time together, the rules are getting lax. They decide that they want more but Naomi has scars from her past relationship that she must overcome. She has to accept that Christian’s love for her is worth it and that he is nothing like her ex.

Rules broken

Refreshing. Not straight to sex. Finding other ways to have intimacy. Knowing when to let go and then fighting for what you really want and need. Can't wait for the next book. Frankie and Elijah hopefully.

This book lived up to its title. Christian and Naomi bought the fire to us. Trauma will break you or make you stronger.
Christian needed someone to love. Naomi thought she didn’t.
Please keep writing these beautiful stories.

I'm already for the next one. This story was addictive like all of them. I've never realized that kind of trauma could cause so much pain, but I understand it.
