Seventeen-year-old Joel Martinez wakes up to sirens and flashing lights. 🚨🌙 His elderly neighbors are dead—brutally murdered—and all evidence points to him. With gaps in his memory and blood on his clothes, even Joel begins to question his own sanity.
🤯 Sentenced to Blackvale Psychiatric Hospital, Joel thinks he's getting the help he desperately needs. 🏥😰
But behind the sterile walls and reassuring smiles, something is very, very wrong. The other patients whisper about disappeared friends and "enhanced treatments" that leave people... different. 👻🔇 🔥
They want him to forget. They want him compliant. They made one fatal mistake—underestimating how far he'll go to protect the people he loves. 💔⚡
As Joel digs deeper into Blackvale's dark secrets, he realizes this isn't just about his case. Something bigger is happening here, something that goes far beyond one troubled teenager and a brutal crime. 🕳️🔍
But the more he learns, the more dangerous his situation becomes. Now Joel must accept the "treatment" and lose himself forever, or fight back against forces more powerful and terrifying than he ever imagined. ⚔️ 🔒 Some prisons are built to hold your body. Others are designed to steal your soul.👻💀
A pulse-pounding psychological thriller that will leave you questioning everything. Perfect for fans of mind-bending suspense and institutional horror.

This isn’t a genre I would normally read but I came across the author and she was so nice I decided to give one of her books a try and I’m glad I did.
This is a short book I won’t go into any details as I don’t want to spoil it but it’s about Joel who ends up on an Asylum and is experimented on in the name of science I was getting the asylum American Horror Story vibes.
The twist of the story were great and I throughly enjoyed it.
This book was a very easy quick read, which I enjoyed and was hooked from the start. I found it was very descriptive, putting a clear image of everything in my mind of how it all looked! Giving this 3 stars as I would’ve liked it to be a bit longer and felt a little rushed all crammed into a short story. Overall did enjoy the story though!
