Mr. and Mrs. Wrong

Rate this book
Will this baby save their marriage or destroy it? Erin Cahill has always been known as Lucky although the name Trouble might suit her better, since she can't seem to stay out of it. Lucky definitely loves her husband, a police captain in their Alabama town, and Jack definitely loves her. But despite that love, despite all the laughter they share, Jack and Lucky argue about everything: where to live, how to live, work, family, everything. So they do the logical thing and separate. There's a complication, though, a really big one. Because Lucky's pregnant.

A great second chance mystery romance. Very detailed and professionally written, every character had a real character (their specific behavior, their likes and dislikes, their past and present and...). The storyline was nicely developed. I loved it and recommend it to all.

This book does fall into some of the typical romance and mystery tropes, but over all, a cute story with one or two twists you may or may not see coming.

This was a good read that I read in one day. There was romance, suspense and a bit of intrigue that kept it moving along at a good pace.

Erin Cahill, aka Lucky, was sometimes known as Trouble because she seemed drawn to it like a magnet. She was deeply in love with her husband of less than a year, Jack. Lucky inherited her grandfather's cabin in a remote area by the river where she spent weekends and summers in the loving embrace of her grandparents. Her husband does not share her love of the cabin and river and troubles abound.

Jack is a police captain in the Alabama city Lucky lives in. He moved there after meeting and falling in love with Lucky. She is deeply bothered because of Jack's secretive nature, fearing he is hiding something important about his past. Jack decides to leave the less than rustic cabin and move to the city...alone. He believes she will follow him shortly but that doesn't happen and they are both miserable apart.

Jack has a habit of showing up at the cabin claiming he needs to look for something he has left behind and each time he and Lucky end up in bed. Lucky discovers she is pregnant and ends up in danger. And who is this shadow of a person that seems to follow her everywhere she goes?

I recommend this interesting, multifaceted book.

3.7-4.2 Stars. Public Library 1/29/15. This story wasn't what I was expecting but in a good way. I was expecting a book about a couple working on their marriage when they suddenly get pregnant and then work through their problems. It offers everything the description says but so much more ...hidden past, theft, lies and multiple murders. The best part was everything was realistic from the murders to the fighting. It was fun to see how they would work out their differences who knew a big city by the book cop and the quirky small town eccentric would make such a good couple.
