ഇന്ദുഗോപൻ എന്റെ All time favorite Author ആണ്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ബുക്‌സ് കൈയ്യിൽ കിട്ടിയാൽ ഞാൻ മുന്നുംപിന്നും നോക്കാതെ വായിക്കും. അത് ഒരു Average ബുക്ക്‌ ആണെങ്കിലും Good, Very Good, Excellent അങ്ങനെ ഏത് Rating Criteria ആണെങ്കിലും ഞാൻ വായിക്കും...

അമ്പിളിമോൾ തിരോധനം 'പ്രഭാകരൻ യൂണിവേഴ്സിൽ' വരുന്ന ഒരു നോവലാണ്.. 20 വർഷം മുന്നേയാണ് അമ്പിളി എന്ന ഒരു മൂന്നര വയസുകാരിയെ വീട്ടുമുറ്റത്തു കളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ കാണാതെയാകുന്നത്. അമ്പിളിക്ക് ഒരു ഐഡന്റിക്കൽ ഇരട്ട സഹോദരി കൂടിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, അമ്മിണി.

A very short and quick paced story investigating the missing of a young girl Ambili mol which took place 20 years back. The twin sister of Ambili mol – Ammini is now an Advocate and she has filed a Habeas Corpus petition in court and the police personnel who investigated the case then and the current officers all have to work hard to solve this mystery. Above all, the main accusation is upon Prabha who is the driver of the Forensic Director. On Prabha’s suggestion he is also included in the investigation team – to investigate and prove his innocence.

കഥയുടെ പകുതിയാവുമ്പോഴേ ഉള്ള പുതിയ കതപാത്രത്തിന്റെ വരവോട് കൂടി തന്നെ കഥയിലെ suspense (വില്ലൻ ആരെന്നു )തന്നെ reveal ആവുകയാണ്. ഒരിക്കൽ വായിച്ചിരിക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു പുസ്തകം. ഇന്ദുഗോപൻ സാറിന്റെ ഞാൻ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ല ഇതേ genre il ഉള്ള മറ്റുപുസ്തകങ്ങളുടെ അത്രയും എനിക്ക് ഇത് നന്നായി തോന്നിയില്ല.

20 വർഷം മുന്നേ കാണാതായ ഇരട്ട സഹോദരിയെ കണ്ടെത്തണം എന്ന ആവശ്യം ഉന്നയിച്ച് വക്കീൽ കൂടിയായ അമ്മിണിക്കുട്ടി ഫയൽ ചെയുന്ന ഹേബിയസ് കോർപ്പസ്ലൂടെ കേസന്വേഷണം പുനരാരംഭിക്കുന്നു, പക്ഷെ ഇത്തവണ കുറ്റക്കാരൻ എന്നാരോപിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഡ്രൈവറായ പ്രഭാകരൻ എന്നയാളെയും അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ ഉൾപെടുത്തുന്നു, യഥാർത്ഥ കുറ്റവാളിയെ കണ്ടെത്തി സ്വന്തം തടി രക്ഷിക്കുക എന്ന ഉത്തരവാദിതമാണ് പ്രഭ യ്ക്ക് മുന്നിലുള്ളത്.

വളരെ ആകർഷകമായ ഒരു വൺ ലൈനർ ആണ് കഥയുടേത്, പക്ഷെ അത് ഇന്റർസ്റ്റിംഗ് ആയി അവസാനം വരെ കൊണ്ടു പോകാൻ സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന കാര്യം സംശയമാണ്. ഒരു ചെറുകഥ മാത്രമായി ഒതുക്കാമായിരുന്ന കഥയെ ചുവന്ന റബ്ബർ ബാന്റ് കണക്കെ വലിച്ചു നീട്ടി പൊട്ടിച്ച അനുഭവം. വളരെ കുറച്ച് പേജുകൾ, അത്പോലെ തന്നെ,എടുത്ത് പറയത്തക്ക പ്രത്യേകിച്ചൊരു മേന്മയുമില്ലാത്ത ശരാശരിയിലും താഴെ നിൽക്കുന്ന വായനാനുഭവം.

Though fast paced , it was a disappointment at the end.
A case regarding the abduction of a 3 year old female child, a cold case which is reopened after 20 years ( at one place in the book it is mentioned as 18 years ).
the investigating team itself was an anomaly; and thr events thereafter were portrayed just to maintain the thrill and suspense, and were written without thinking through.
the ending was abrupt, without closure.

I expected much better from this author.

Exciting one time read book that is written in a movie style about Ambili's missing case. The story revolves around the re investigation of Ambili's missing case, that occured about 20 years ago. The interesting aspect of the story is that the suspect is not a police officer but places an important role in the investigation and the culprit is the investigation officer. It is interesting to see how the cucpect finally traps the culprit to get evidence against him and solve the case.

ഇരുപത് വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപ് നടന്ന അമ്പിളിയുടെ തിരോധാന കേസ് വീണ്ടും വെളിച്ചം കാണുന്നതോടെയാണ് നോവൽ തുടങ്ങുന്നത്. അന്ന് പോലീസ് ഡമ്മി സാക്ഷിയാക്കി നിർത്തിയ പ്രഭാകരനെ അമ്പിളിയുടെ ഇരട്ട സഹോദരി കൈ ചൂണ്ടി കാണിച്ചു കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു. ഇരുപത് വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം കേസ് അന്വേഷണം വീണ്ടും തുടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ പോലീസ് പ്രഭാകരനെ മുന്നിൽ നിർത്തുന്നതോടെ പ്രഭാകരന് ആ കേസ് ഒരു ജീവൻ മരണ പോരാട്ടം ആവുന്നു . സാക്ഷികളും സാഹചര്യങ്ങളും ആയി നോവൽ മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുമ്പോൾ കുറച്ചൊക്കെ രസകരമാവുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ അന്വേഷിച്ചു കണ്ടുപിടിക്കുന്നതായി അധികമൊന്നും കണ്ടില്ല.
