Twisted Love. Forbidden Bloodlines. A War They Never Saw Coming.
I thought I’d lost him forever. Now, Nicholas "Nyx" Caballero is back—but so are the dangers that tore us apart. His father, a ruthless mafia kingpin, will do anything to destroy what we have, even if it means locking Nyx away again.
Every stolen touch, every whispered vow, pulls me deeper into the chaos. But when we uncover a deadly secret that binds our families in blood and betrayal, walking away is no longer an option.
Loving Nyx means choosing war.
And in a world where trust is a death sentence, we have to decide—are we willing to risk everything to rewrite our fate? Or will the past consume us before we get the chance?
**Flowers in Death is book two in the Death Duet and does end on a cliff hanger. It includes themes that may not be suitable for all readers. For a full list of triggers, please visit www.zennarosebooks.com
For fans of dark romance, dangerous obsessions, and love that defies the odds.
ok so disclaimer, I had to go back and read book one. Thankfully I had already purchased it and it was on my TBR so once completed I could truly dive in and appreciate this book. This picks up right where one left off with her trying to figure out life now that her NYX is back. Through a whirlwind of emotions as twists and turns unearth themselves. And holy hell! Those plot twists and the secrets revealed? Wasn’t expecting them! Some even had me legit scared like NOOO that can’t be just to spin again like haha I’m not done! Truly well written and not rushed but also not overly extended and exhausting. Wish I could get a couple more sneak peeks into a few side characters lives and see wats next for NYX and his Della but alas..that’s what imaginations are for! Definitely recommend this duet. Get in tune with it!.

This is a story you’ll want to dive into with book 1 fresh in your mind. This sequel picks up right where the first left off, unraveling the tangled threads woven in book 1.
I loved how easy this was to get through despite the dark, gritty subject matter. Zenna’s writing makes it effortless to stay hooked, and every chapter seemed to pull me deeper into the chaos of mafia politics, star-crossed lovers, and shocking family revelations.
If you're a fan of forbidden romance with a heavy dose of danger, betrayal, and a love that refuses to die, The Death Duet is worth adding to your TBR. I’ll definitely be checking out more of Zenna Rose’s work after this.
I blasted through book one and when I got to book two, I took my time because I was so not ready to say goodbye to Nyx and Delaney. Something I loved about this book is that we got to see more with the mafia aspect because I feel like there was very little focus on that. This book sent me into a book slump so bad that I waited almost two months before posting this review.
I thought this book was well written and I couldn't put it down and Zenna Rose did it again and I can't wait to read more. This is the second book in this series. I recommend this book.

Flowers In Death is the rest of Nyx and Delaney's story. Lots of secrets, lies and betrayals revealed in this one. It brings everything pretty much full circle in such an intense, dramatic way. Readers are pulled in quickly and held until the very end. I'd definitely recommend The Death Duet.
Dark and spicy with a healthy dose of obsession! I recommend reading the first book so that you can fully enjoy all the delicious darkness and danger!!.

I enjoyed flowers in death which continues from where book one left us off. Must read book one to truly appreciate this duet. I received an early copy of the book. And voluntarily leaving this review.
Dramatic! Nyx and Delaney get their ending. Nyx comes back, causing chaos, and we all just fall for it. Again. Read your triggers. I feel obligated to say, however these triggers aren't really bad anyway. It was good. I'd read it again.
Flowers in Death by Zenna Rose I’m liking this new author work. I’m fascinated with the characters and the situation they find themselves in. The chemistry between them is great.

📖 BOOK REVIEW 💀 First ARC via Booksprout, and the moment I saw Flowers in Death, I knew I had to dive into Flowers From Death first (swipe back for that review 👈).
And OMG — I LOVED THIS DUET! All my fave tropes packed into one dark, deliciously twisted ride: 🖤 Stalker romance 🖤 Mafia bloodlines 🖤 Obsessive “you’re mine” energy 🖤 Friends-to-lovers with a body count
Nyx is everything: feral, possessive, morally grey perfection. And watching her spiral into chaos? Chef's kiss. 👀🔥
If you love dark romance with high stakes and hotter-than-hell spice (hello chapters 7-13 & 24 😳), don’t sleep on this duet.
I enjoyed reading the characters Nyx and Delaney. It was intense, twisted, secrets. It will take you on a roller-coaster ride. I was hooked from the beginning. I can't wait to read the next one.
