Logan “Reaper” Lawson once believed he had found the love of his life until a twist of fate shattered his world. His life became a turbulent storm of chaos, leaving him feeling lost and overwhelmed. Years later, the only way he’d been able to cope with his new existence was to fight in the underground arenas of the Petrov Bratva. However, while in the enemy’s territory, he’s found himself entangled in a situation involving a mysterious woman that threatens to ignite a war between the Sinners and the Bratva. Will Logan learn to love again, or will he allow chaos to continue to control his life? The Sinners never leave until all the cards are played.

The story was ok, i enjoyed Logan but i just couldn’t bond with Paris. I know she was young and had lived through a traumatic experience, however she lacked empathy towards Logan. He basically saved her life, put himself, his brothers and his club in arms way, and she couldn’t see past her own issues to recognize that she owed King some respect. Her meltdown towards her brother in a public was ill advised. She’s lucky he killed him self otherwise she’d be on the suspect list. However what really turned me off her was her attitude towards Logan’s grief. Basically she thought he should just get over it and make space for her. It’s not how grief works and he deserved more empathy. She also wanted him to drop his life to follow her to Seattle when she didn’t even discuss it with him. Logan was more mature and understood that she needed to spread her wings to be sure that they weren’t just trauma bonding. I really disliked the ending . First of all she should have shown more gratitude towards Logan and kept in touch and second of all, she should have been the one going to him even if in the end they moved for a fresh start.
That was what Logan, aka Reaper, told Paris after he helped her escape. She was kidnapped and handed over to the Petrov Bratva by her unscrupulous half-brother as payment in full for what he owed the Bratva. They destroyed her life in the three months they had her. She vowed to escape and exact her revenge, and that is what she did when the right time presented itself. Reaper hid her and protected her until the loose ends were tied up.
Being around Paris had Reaper reanalyzing his feelings. He had the gnawing desire to either beat or kill something, and his late girlfriend, Blake, was the only one to soothe his savage beast, that is, until Paris. He couldn't handle it, but he knew his feelings for Paris was growing. But, Paris could not compete with A ghost. Her only option was to move on and live her life and let him deal with his feelings. It took him a while to realize that he could not live without her, but he eventually got his act together so they could have their HEA.
Let me start with this: people like Kurt make me sick, in my eyes he is worse than Oleg and Nikita, at least you know they don’t hide who they are … That being said , that was a great read, be warned, if you have certain triggers that book may not be for you. I loved Logan, like he said , he is no prince charming… but he has some light in his darkness & that that man is “deep” , he is the villain you can’t help to love, he is not for the faint of heart, good thing Paris went through the wringer with Nikita & in a way prepping her for a man like the Reaper aka Logan lawson.
What a beautifully written story. Courtney Dean really got raw and real when telling the story of Reaper (Logan) and Paris. These two had devastatingly heartbreaking events happen to alter their lives, but somehow the universe placed them in the same place at the same time that changed the trajectory of their futures.
Please don't go in expecting all sunshine and roses, because that's not what this is. This is serious stuff that happened, and they chose to deal was differently, but the journey is worth the wait.
From the Prologue to the Epilogue, you will feel something real for these two. I think this is one of the best books in the Sin City MC series, outside of New Beginnings.
Courtney has done it again. I love her MC universe she has created. This installment was so good. I love Reaper and how he evolved during this story. The characters were so good together. My only complaint is that I didn't want the book to end. Can't wait until her next book.
I see that the name does truly fit him in every way. The on thing about this book that I didn't like how it played out is the easy way Kurt and Nikita got off their deaths should have come with more pain and suffering for what they put Paris through. As with all of Courtney books this is a great read
Reaper and Paris had a dangerous, dark beginning but I absolutely loved their relationship ❤️❤️❤️ A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
