Hell yes!!! Please be warned – this is a cheating trope. That’s going to count a lot of you out.

Stassie (19) has moved in with her sister Mary and her boyfriend, Ryker (23), after the parents kicked her out. On Stassie's first night there, she accidentally ends up getting plowed by her sister’s boyfriend. Seriously guys, it was an honest mistake! Bada bing, bada boom, there’s a bun in the oven!!! There’s some filthy sex and a HEA for at least two of them.

SEX: Yes, and thank you. B. Sobjakken typically writes some pretty good smut. There were a few golden showers in this one, which is NOT my kink, but I just went with the flow (haha, get it?! God, I’m hilarious). Ryker discovers he has a lot of kinks, actually. You can add pregnancy fetish and breeding kink to his growing repertoire. Horny bastard. Plus, our precious Ryker is a nurturer. The way he worshipped Stassie was so sexy. Anyway – the sex is so good.

CHEATING: If you know me, you’ll know that usually I never tolerate cheating with my MCs, so why did I like this one? Well, I’m going into it already knowing the story – and to me, Stassie and Ryker are my MCs. Not Mary. That's the biggest reason. Does it make sense? Probably not. Plus, I appreciate that the author didn't try to make it out like Mary was some horrible person who deserved to be cheated on. Mary & Ryker just weren't meant to be and they both knew it. Seems like Mary is going to get her own HEA with someone else. Not that any of this makes things better. I'm just letting you know the facts.

If you’re cool with the cheating trope and all the kinks – go for it.

I was hesitant on the cheating trope (typically a huge no go for me!) but honestly…I could get behind it 👀 the sister wasn’t really that present in the story so I could really focus on the important stuff…THE SMUT!

Stassie & Ryker tried everything & for such a short novella I was impressed. This author never disappoints with filthy deeds between non traumatized characters (looking at you dark romance).

Just a quick, hot read that I felt like picking up... it pulled me in rather quickly, and I found myself wishing it was a bit longer! The love story was sweet, minus the cheating, of course. Luckily, the hero remains loyal to the heroine despite cheating on his gf with her sister! I don't usually go for cheating books, but I like the accidental pregnancy trope and was in the mood for a quick, steamy read, and this one delivered! I will definitely be reading more of B. Sobjakken's novellas!

I wish this was longer. And Ryker was a bit too passive for me, it felt a little like if he could have both of them he would. Which if that was the book, then I wouldn’t mind, but it wasn’t. Like why did Mary even have to ask him what his choice would be at the end, “if she made him choose” ? At that point he should’ve said they were done and there wasn’t a choice.
Sigh…. not everything can be perfect tho and this did fuel my need for h and H’s cheating together🤭

I feel like that quote pull is apt since I think every B Sobjakken book is just better and better in entertainment value. If you’re looking for quick, taboo, and a morality tweak, then Dubious Secrets is perfect. Definitely heed the TW/CW in the front because they are not held back in this one. Some of the kinky bits weren’t for me, but alas I enjoyed the story overall and it’s the perfect quickie between reads.

Yes, it’s cheating trope. Since the MCs aren’t being cheated on I thought to give it a go. (NO that doesn’t make sense but it’s fictional so idc).

Maybe I can just NEVER do this trope. Only times I’ve been ok w/ it are when the person who’s in relationship is like trapped, abused, it’s in name only & the person they are with is aware they don’t want to be with them. (e.g., forced marriage to abusive husband where wife tries to leave & makes known she wants to but it’s being forced to stay).

ANYWAY- the initial cheating was an “accident” kinda. But when Ryker (H) finds out what he did he should’ve told gf & broken up w/ her immediately since he wanted Stassie (h).

BUT NO! They actively kept cheating

Here’s my thing: WHY didn’t Ryker break up w/ Mary immediately when he:

1. found out he cheated
2. realized he wanted Stassie

But, overall, it’s pretty short & chill.

I went into this for a palate cleanser- something quick and spicy to read during a series binge- and really enjoyed the vibes. It's got that 'we shouldn't' messy taboo vibes tension... after a night where he mistakes her for her sister and they make a baby!!!! The spice was spicing!! Not all of it was my cup of tea (waterworks) but this was a fun one. One of those novellas I would have liked to see full length.

B. Sobjakken is my new favorite author when it comes to taboo and spicy romance. She just has a way of infusing all of the fire and forbidden romance goodness into what she writes. This novella was no different. I was absolutely consumed by it from start to finish. It broke all the rules, it was spicy as hell, it had so many kinks in it that made me blush and I couldn’t put it down.

This novella and this entire series probably isn’t for everyone, but it is well worth a read. This author definitely has a way of breaking all the rules in the best way, and she gives you taboo romance like no other. I truly cannot get enough, and I am already chomping at the bit for whatever she releases next!

Dubious Secrets is short, sharp, and filthy in all the best ways. This novella might be a quick read, but it packs a punch that lingers. Forbidden? Yep. Messy? Obviously. Addictive? Always.

Brooke never disappoints she hits you with TOP TIER SPICE, morally grey chaos, and characters you shouldn’t root for but absolutely do.

If you’re not reading her, you’re seriously missing out.

Looking for plot? You won’t find a lot of it here but it’s a lot of fun 🤣. Seriously, a very enjoyable novella with quite a few triggers (and kinks) so be sure to check before reading. Finished it in a few hours and this is the second novella I’ve read from this author. Definitely a must add if you’re looking something something new, something fun and something naughty 😏

I was literally trying to come up with ways it would all work out in the end for everyone involved. And I won’t tell you some of the things that crossed my mind. Diabolical. What is a no go trope if its including in a piece by B Sobjakken? Absolutely....NOTHING 🤣

Dubious Secrets is the latest release in her Immoral Starts series of novellas comprised of complete standalones. Under 100 pages of "Ooo I shouldn't love this but I totally do" sister's boyfriend juiciness are what lies behind the cover.

Ryder and Stassie are that couple you want to hate because you know how they started but then you see them share an inside joke giggle about someone offering up double stuffed Oreos as a dessert option (iykyk) , and you want to kick yourself because they're adorable. They're like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt before they turned hot mess express 🙈 Mary, Stassi's sister and Ryker's OG girlfriend, would be the Jennifer Aniston and I'm totally all for her having her own story. Emotional affair with her married doctor boss and her own cheating storyline perhaps 👀 just an idea 🤣

Anywayyyyyy as with anything written by Brooke be prepared for spice > plot but you will never hear a single complaint from me about it. Sign me up for the next slice of delicious chaos 🤤

When Stassie goes into her sisters room for something one night, she doesn’t expect her sisters boyfriend to be in bed. And while Ryker’s half asleep, he really gives his girlfriend a ride to pound town. Except it isn’t his girlfriend. It’s his girlfriend’s sister.

And that night leads to an accidental pregnancy that neither expected, but both want to keep.

These two are forbidden and messy AF, but this was a fun read! The watersports aspect but heavy, so just a warning if you aren’t into that! IMO it was so well done that even if it’s not your thing, it might be your thing by the end lol

Ryker and Stassie have a non traditional beginning but they still end up on path to healthy loving relationship. Was it SMutty? yesss it was. Was it explicit? Yes But it was also tender, hilarious to tears, intimate, natural feminine energy affirming. Ryder was a caretaker who was a cross between guardian angel, teddy bear, don juan big dong and a fun friend. Definitely a workMan of fiction at least until his disgusting habits appear after 5 yrs and 4 kids later🫢🫣❓Stassie is kinda immature, has a good heart and is doing her best. she has a passive personality. i would have liked more involvement from side characters. But overall great read. Taboo hook up parts make you want to scream out loud. no way⁉️ but I love that awkward tension, the horror suspense without any blood.

This one was fast paced but worked well considering it was only 100 pages. This does have cheating.. he gets his GF’s sister preggo with a case of half asleep s3x when the sister was grabbing something from their room. Outlandish, yes. Hot, also yes. This was hella spicy, and I mean the shower of the ahhh golden variety was new, and not my jam but hey… Ryker liked it, and boy was he obsessed!

Absolutely 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 if you go into this knowing there is cheating and you’re okay with that then you’ll have a good time. Ryker and Stassie won my heart over. Tell me why I had tears at a few parts in this book. That’s when you know these characters are written well. This book also had a kink in it that I’ve never read before and I love when that happens.
